ACS Roofing

From the first call, I felt the company took time to listen to my concerns, address my questions and communicate with me. Sean was very pleasant to speak with and I am sure I spent tons of time rambling about everything I had been through thus far. He promptly called back to confirm a next day appointment with Mark. The company emailed me a few minutes before my appointment and let me know Mark was on his way. Mark showed up as expected with a very clean, professional shirt with the company logo and his name. Although silly, it made me feel much more comfortable about letting a stranger into my house. I guess the assumption is that bad guys do not print their names on shirts. All my expectations were met, I felt Mark took the time to give evaluate my problem, and more importantly explain it to me with pictures so I could understand exactly what was wrong with my roof and why I had water stains on my ceiling. Very shortly after he left he sent a full quote and explanation of exactly the work that they would perform, his contract information, bonding number, among other information. I need to add ventilation and am interested in installing a whole house fan and will be using ACS again soon.

Mark identify the source of my ceiling leak even when its not a roof problem. He took steps beyond his job to help me out. Additionally, his price is very reasonable.

Everything went great, except I found it odd that the guys doing the work left without notifying me they were finished. I waited until the next day and called into the office, and they made a comment about the workers not being "customer service" people. Other than that minor issue, everything went well.

After making an online inquiry, I received a call the next day from a very polite individual wanting to know if this was something I wanted to do right away. I said yes and she informed me that they were booked through the new year and that it would be something that would not be done until January. I appreciated the honesty and the consideration of my needs. I did not request any estimate.

From booking to getting the job done and paying the process with these guys was painless. They were very accommodating and responded well to all of my requests.

After the auto e-mail I never heard from them.

ACS installed 16 eave vents to improve attic air circulation. Everything went very well. Great job, great service, & very reasonably priced.

These guys were very professional. I was getting three estimates for major roof job (complete tear off, new decking and shingles, all new gutters, etc.) and called ACS as one of the three. Mark the owner met me at my house to ask me questions so he could dial in his estimate to what I actually needed and answer my specific questions about elements of my roof. I'm the kind of person who does a lot of research ahead of time, and I can tell you that his answers to my questions weren't BS. Also, he told me about other improvements I could do while roof was off, but didn't try to upsell me. The estimate he gave me came quickly, was very competitive in terms of price, and it was the most detailed of the three estimates I got from roofers listed on AL. (Two were very close and one was not competitive in terms of either cost or technical aspects). I decided to go with another company (which I was also very pleased with) -- but it was something of a coin-toss, and I have absolutely no reservations about recommending ACS. They came across as very professional, very organized, and very straight-forward.

Rating of A+. I wont hesitate to call them again if future repairs are needed. Highly recommended.

We had a small roof leak that had worsened this last rainy season. We called ACS and for an $80 consultation fee they were here the next day. The gentleman did his inspection listing several things that needed to be done. We decided to proceed and ACS was able to come out within two days and complete the work. Two months and several rain storms later the leak has not returned! If we ever have roofing needs in the future we'll call ACS.

They were very prompt and friendly.

I called several different companies and they were the only one that responded. He came out and could have said I needed more work but he didn't. He only charged me for a service call.

Everything was done to code and was done extremely professionally. We'll call them back in the spring to do the flashing around our chimney to prevent future headaches. Thank you ACS!

We just had a series of tremendous storms. When the next one came, we noticed additional roof leaks of our new house and non-functioning gutters. ACS came out that same day, in the pouring rain, and not only fixed my leaking garage roof on the spot, but fixed my overflowing gutter on the second story. Mark was punctual, professional, and quick. This is the second time I have used him on our new house and was not disappointed one bit either time. I would definitely use them again.

Mark did the estimate and provided a very detailed and professional estimate the same day. The roofers showed up a day early at about 7:30am and were done by about 2PM. They did all the work they said they would, with quality, and cleaned up afterward. I'll definitely use them again.

I was very impressed with the owner and the employees. They were very responsive and professional. The owner came himself the same day I contacted their office to ask about a roof inspection/repairs. He inspected the roof thoroughly and advised me of the repairs (which I was already aware of, so he is honest). They scheduled the work the first day that was convienent for me and only a week after the inspection. The worker was early to the appointment, friendly and the work was finished timely. I was concerned the job would be too small for a roofing company, but it wasn't at all. I also used a coupon found on Angie's List for $40. off and the owner happily credited my invoice. I will definitely use them in the future for my roofing needs and highly recommend them.

The owner was very professional. He gave me a fair price for all the work I was having done. I have a large roof and it required a lot of work. The roof was a old wood shake and probably needed replaceing years ago. I was amazed at the number of people on the job. There was a 8 man tear off crew, 3 roofers, 1 project manager, 6 men who installed the gutters. The guttters were cut on site which meant there were no seems. The company arrived early worked late. They make sure my home was clean. Overall excellent experience..

We received quotes from four companies to have a roof, gutters, 2 sun-tunnels, and a bathroom fan installed. Mark Tate responded quickly and was the only one who made an appointment and sat down with us to review our various options. He was also the only one who recommended adding additional venting to increase the air flow in the attic resulting in a cooler house in the summer. Overall, we felt he offered the most complete package at a competitive rate. Having a roof removed in the winter months can be risky but ACS was patient and waited for a confirmed no-rain period before moving forward. All work was performed in a professional manner and clean-up performed before we returned home each evening. The project manager, Amos, was very courteous and easy to work with. The site manager, Mike, was very nice and knowledgeable. He spotted several original design flaws that resulted in dry rot and made adjustments that should fix this problem in the future. A father and son team actually installed the roof and they worked together like a well-oiled machine. It was a pleasure to watch and listen to them work. Bottom line - the roof looks great, the gutters work perfectly, and the sun-tunnels and fan are perfect. We would definitely use this company, again, and I strongly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof or roof repair. On a side note, prior to our roof being replaced there was a heavy downpour and there was a pretty good leak in our bathroom. I contacted Amos and within 2 hours Mike had repaired the roof. Great service!

I avoided replacing my original, wood shingle roof for a long time - the house was built in 1987 - because I like the look of wood shingles and hate the look of composite roofs. I finally decided that I would at least get some estimates on repairing it until I could afford to replace it and contacted several roofing companies, after researching them on Angies List. Of the three companies I contacted, Mark Tate, the owner of ACS, replied the fastest. He came out the next day and went up on the roof to inspect it. When I heard him walking on it, the shingles sounded so brittle that I knew my roof was past death's door. Mark took pictures with his cell phone and showed me that I actually had several holes in my roof! I hadn't noticed any leaks but the holes were definitely there. He gave me an estimate on repairing the roof - approximately $800-$1000 - and on replacing it. He sat down with me that day and we discussed the pros and cons of repairing versus replacing, and he left me a really complete and informative folder of materials, showing the types of products they used plus referrals and a long list of houses and the types of roofs they had, so that I could drive around and actually see the roofs on a house. I thought about it overnight and decided that spending $800 to limp the roof through the winter was dumb, when I needed to replace it anyway. So I contacted the other roofing companies and also got estimates from them. Of the three estimates, which I spent a good bit of time researching and comparing, I liked the quality of the products that Mark used plus the services rendered for the cost - and I liked Mark. By now, I had spent several weeks doing all of my research and driving around, looking at roofs! I finally decided to use ACS Roofing and called Mark. He came over and we discussed price - but I wasn't sure yet which color and quality of shingle I wanted. As is probably obvious, I have trouble making a decision! Anyway, I told him I wanted him to do my roof. By then, it was starting to look like rain and I mentioned that I was really worried because it was supposed to rain that week. He sent someone over the next day and patched every hole in my roof - and this was before we had a signed contract. That is someone with integrity - who cares about his business and the customer. I took several more weeks to make a final decision - even called him several times, asking for more shingle samples. I have to say that Mark never complained or sounded irritated with me, even though I contacted him several times as I was trying to decided what to do. We signed a contract in October - and set a date for November, as he had jobs already started and lined up to do. The roofing started mid November and took only four or five days to complete. I was amazed at how efficient their company was - a whole slew of guys showed up on the first day to remove the existing roof - sounded like ants on the roof - but not a single piece of mess was left on the ground when they were done. The foreman, Mike, came the first day and introduced himself and gave me his number so that I could call him anytime I had a question. He was there most of the time, though. I had the gutters replaced with black, seamless gutters. One of the guys doing the gutters came to the door and offered a suggestion to reroute one of the garage gutters so that the water would no longer pool by the house foundation. I appreciate that he took the initiative to do that. As I said before, I have always disliked composite roofs but I LOVE my new roof and the way my house looks now. I ended up going for the black shingle, with black gutters. Every time I drive around the corner and see my house, I am happy with my new roof. ACS Roofing is an awesome company - great people - care about their work - use good products - efficient. I would use them again but this roof is supposed to last a long, long time!

We noticed a leak on our bedroom ceiling the morning of 3/14/2012. Not a bad leak, but I wanted to get it fixed right away to avoid sheetrock damage. I was not looking forward to trying to locate a contractor I would feel comfortable with, as I have been burned many times in the past (I have been a home owner since 1964). I joined Angies list that afternoon and was impressed with the detailed reports available. I called a number of companies to get repair estimates, and ACS was the most responsive, getting an experienced repair specialist out that evening. It only took a few minutes for him to find the problem and repair the roof. He even had a replaced tile in his truck. Fortunately it was a minor repair. I was very impressed with this company from the minute I called through the completion of the repair. While I was on the phone explaining the problem, the individual was on the internet looking at a satellite photo of my roof to get a feel for access, etc. One of the company's repair specialists was dispatched and showed up shortly. Unlike my experience in the past, I never thought I was being taken advantage of or ripped off. The repairman was prompt, courteous, and experienced. The price of the repair was more than fair. If I have need for a roofing contractor in the future, I will utilize this company.

On time, professional, friendly, generous and a great experience overall.

They replaced a couple of tiles and installed a water diverter. They also cleaned the tiles. They did what they said they were going to do, and their prices were competitive. I would defiantly use them again.

All the people in this company were very nice to work with. They were professional, upfront, honest and responsive. They did the work on schedule. The work was done well and they left a clean worksite. We had a small concern after the work was finished and they were very responsive and quick to fix. Overall they did a great job and I would highly recommend them. Our new gutters look great .

When cleaning my gutters a few months ago, I noticed that while my roof was in good condition generally, some of the ridge caps were cracked and lifting. I knew that I needed to have the problem addressed before the rainy season started. I called a local roofing company, was assured they did repairs, and was told I would get a call back. No call was ever received. I went on Angie's List and found ACS Roofing. The many customer reports of good service on relatively small jobs sounded like just what I was looking for. I called and made an appointment for someone to come and look at the roof and provide an estimate. The owner, Mark Tate, went up on the roof and took photos on his digital camera that showed the issues that needed to be addressed regarding the ridge caps, flashing, etc. He also showed me photos indicating that the debris and moisture in the bottom of the gutters was starting to create rust so he included gutter cleaning in his estimate. Mark assured me that my roof was otherwise in good repair and should last many more years. In addition to the estimate, Mark provided a brochure about ACS that spoke to the professionalism of the company and the service provided. A two-man team appeared at the appointed day and time, did the work quickly and neatly ... even the gutter cleaning. They left no debris on the ground and completed a job that I thought might take all day in about three hours. I meant to ask specially to confirm that the flashing repair was done, but I forgot to do so. (I could see the new ridge caps from ground level, but had no way to confirm the flashing work without going up on the roof ... something I preferred not to do!) I e-mailed Mark with my question. He responded that after getting my e-mail, he contacted the job supervisor and was able to assure me that that part of the job was done. From start (initial phone call) to finish (e-mail exchange with Mark), my experience with ACS Roofing was excellent. I will certainly use them again for any future roofing or gutter needs.
