Description of Work: Doug came out as arranged. The office staff was very responsive to set the appointment and in answering my questions. Doug had to return on March 5 to buff out the grainy/sandy surface on the sink sides. However, after the buffing the finished job was great. I would have him reglaze my sinks again. The next time I would simply check for roughness before he left.

Description of Work: Cleaned up the porcelain, filled in depressions and reglazed it. Asked for anti-slip, textured bottom. Touched up a laundry sink that was reglazed by a different company a year earlier, offered to return and refine a section on my tub but I didn't feel the need for it. All in all, Doug is a professional with a lot of knowledge and very personable too.

Description of Work: They sanded and resorted the tub. There was overspray on the bathroom floor (which is being replaced) but also on the hardwood floor in the hallway. I was disappointed that more care wasn't taken to protect the area outside the bathroom

+ -1 moreAside from having to call several times to get this scheduled, once we had an appointment, they were on time and professional. They also were neat, and cleaned up after themselves after the job was completed.
Description of Work: Martes Refinishing provided a low cost alternative to solving a leak problem with our fiberglass tub. They cut out a section of the fiberglass tub wall, repaired the leak, replaced the fixtures, resealed the cutout section, and refinished the entire tub. It looks brand new and you can't tell where the cut out was made!

+ -1 moreThe owner, Doug Martes, did all the work and was very polite and returned my calls promptly. He made suggestions to my original request and I went with them and I was glad I did. His work ethic was very good, he was neat and prompt and was considerate about not inconveniencing us. The cost for the work done was very reasonable.
Description of Work: I have 2 bathrooms in my house. They cut out a section of an old steel/porcelain tub for easy access for a senior citizen. They also installed bars for support and assistance. They then cleaned the old grout and re-grouted and it looks great. My Mom loves the bars and the fact that she doesn't have to step over the side of the tub. In the second bath, new matching fixtures were installed in the tub and basin. To install the fixtures in the tub, they cut out a wall to access the plumbing and refinished it so you couldn't even tell it had been modified. The tub and basin were both refinished in the same color and it looks like a new installation.
