Martes Refinishing

We desperately needed to get our 50 year old tub and the surrounding tile refinished. We had scheduled an appointment but there was some confusion as to the day but when the mistake was realized, it was quickly set to right and Doug himself, came out the very next morning. He arrived exactly on time smiling and ready to go-- was extremely personable, funny, and down to earth. And he did a terrific job! That bathroom had been a mess for such a long time we completely forgot that it could ever be presentable let alone pretty, and it's beautiful now! We liked the tub area so much that we had him do the countertop as well! We would definitely recommend to anyone in need of his services, and as a matter of fact, our sister plans to have him do her bathtub as well. His 20 plus years of experience surely show in the finished product. And to top it off, he gave us a great deal! After he finished, we talked to him about sprucing up the kitchen counters in the near future but he advised us to just have them replaced. What business owner, in this economy, turns down work so the customer will get the best result possible? And to top it off, the next week he put us in touch with someone who could replace them. Doug did and excellent job. He was able also to supply a few needed accessories from his truck at a reasonable rate. Overall we were very pleased with the end product.

Doug is absolutely first-rate. I called several tub refinishers and he impressed me with his responsiveness and attention to detail. While other tub refinishers told me they would not remove the tub fixtures, without me asking, Doug said that he would remove the fixtures that so that he could do the most complete job of refinishing the tub. He got the job done very quickly and without any problems. I was so impressed that I asked him to do some bathroom remodeling work that I needed done (replacing toilets, sink and tub fixtures, bathroom fans, mirrors, medicine cabinet, etc.). He did a great job and quickly too, without any problems. I would absolutely recommend Doug and Martes Refinishing, and would use them again in a heartbeat.

They covered the surrounding areas to prevent damage and prepped the tub throughly before applying the finish coat. The final result was very good.

This sink had been refinished before by someone else. I called and had him redo it. He tried to save me money by not putting new paint on the first time he came. He took all of the old finish off. He also said that he could take out all of the little holes and that I could have the original sink back. A few weeks later, it was discolored, and I had him come back out and paint it. He is a great person, clean, neat, competent, worked very well, and it was a pleasure to have him in my home.

He gave me a verbal estimate and his price was good. He was very nice. He had good reviews. He got back to me right away and was professional. I plan on using his services.

They did a great job. They were punctual and I was very happy with their work.

They were a little more expensive than the other company I called, but were MUCH more responsive to phone calls, messages, and scheduling issues, so I was much more comfortable using them. The team showed up on time and were very professional. They sanded and preped the peeling tub and applied the new surface in the timeframe they quoted, and then returned the next morning for the final clean up. They performed all the work with minimal mess and disruption. The tub looks great, and I am very happy that I opted for the non-slip surface (additional $20), as this will alleviate the need for a bath mat (which seems to accelerate the peeling of these surfaces). I would definitely recommend this company. A very positive experience.

It is beautiful. They refinished a shower pan and fiber glassed the drain so they could install a new one. They applied refinisher and it looks like brand new. He was able to come out on a moments notice. I had called another company and had them come out and they decided they couldn't do the job. I had open drains and Doug was able to come out and take care of the problem immediately. I highly recommend this company.

First of all, they returned my phone calls which is a big plus. They were polite and responsive. I was going to refinish my entire bath tub (at a cost of $300), but Martes offered an alternative which was to add a non-slip surface. Since my previous finish was still in excellent condition except for the scratches on the tub floor, this was a good alternative and at a lower cost to me ($100). The workers were polite and careful and my sink and tub look great. I will use them again.

It went extremely well. They charged what they said they would and showed up on time as scheduled. They actually came while I was at work, and the technician called to let me know he was there. He cleaned up after himself flawlessly and even called me to ask me if I wanted the metal part of the drain replaced (which is included in the price). He gave me a choice of two finishes.

Octavio was on time, polite, and clean. The bathtub is iron with a enamel coat which had rusted through in several spots. I am extremely pleased with the quality of work and would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

Martes returned our call within 12 hours & sent out a service guy promptly. When he arrived, the bathtub was stopped up. He couldn't do the work. He returned after we unclogged it without any additional charges. Job was done well, at a great price, promptly. Totally satisfied. Happy to recommend.
