Rick's Handyman Service

Rick was wonderful at communicating throughout the process and very reasonably priced. I must have had 10 doors that were not shutting correctly. Rick was very good at what he does. He works quickly and was a pleasure to have in our home.

Wall resurfacing was just right and I love my new lighting fixtures, He is also comfortable with my nosy dogs.

Rick called about a half prior to the scheduled appointment time and advised he would be about 30 minutes late. When he showed up he got right to work. After checking out what I wanted done Rick explained what he needed to do to complete each job and graciously showed me how to do the repairs if I was interested. He also asked me to look over his work and made sure I approved of it. He was meticulous in making sure the caulking was perfect and he redid one area when it was not. He also cleaned up as he went. I hired him for an additional hour since he was doing such a great job and was available.

Rick showed up on time and did a great job with our task list. He found a creative way to get our dishwasher mounted property. We would call him again.

I found Ricks Handy man on Angies list and have had him work on 6or 7 projects since then, some projects are multiple day projects. He is very focused on the final product and its appearance, very selective of the materials used and the final product always looks great. I have not always written a review, but he has replaced, deck, built a block mailbox, fence replacement, clean gutters, tree removal and trimming, toilet replacement and sink leak repair. You can trust the work to be done as you would like it to be.

I was not happy. The guy was here until midnight just fixing, not even building the gate. He couldn't do half of the thing, anyway. It was disappointing. He had all day. It was not good. It was a lot more than the Big Deal.

I was impressed! Rick was out here on time, and he worked all day getting the above tasks completed. Rick was very nice, and extremely professional. I will be calling Rick again!

Rick spent three days completing 15 different projects around the house. Each one was completed with care. We are happy with everything Rick did. Give yourself a break use this service. One of the best...

I needed work done to repair some rotted wood around my chimney and tried to call the provider. I reached a voicemail and was asked to leave a message. I indicated the need the above job and also mentioned that I have some other jobs that would become available and asked if I could get estimates. i left my name and two different phone numbers where I would be reached. That was on 9/24/2015 - as of today 10/2/2015 I have never received a call back.

Replaced aprox 50 linear feet of rotted fascia/eave boards. Because we have a tar and gravel flat roof (mid-century modern Carter Sparks), the project required more skill than a typical fascia replacement. Having grown up in an Eichler himself, Rick knew exactly how to manage the project. Rick spent 10 hours first assessing, then shopping for materials, and finally replacing and painting new boards. He took care in shopping by frugally selecting materials. $400 labor $160 material We will have Rick out again to do more work as we were pleased with both his communicative process and skill.

We were pleased with his service and his cooperative & friendly demeanor. We will definitely use his service again.

Rick is very easy to work with and always leaves you with plenty of details about the work he has done. As noted in previous reviews, I will continue to use Rick as my handyman because he cares about the work he does and your satisfaction.

Rick was a super nice guy. He was conscience about cost of things and showed me how I could fix some of the things myself the next time they break. All around good guy which doesn't seem easy to find these days.

Rick is a great handyman and has a lot of experience in a variety of areas. He estimated the installation of the floor would take 3 days and that was accurate. He removed the old carpet and pad and cut the carpet into squares so we could dispose of it in our garbage can, saving the cost of taking it to the dump. He asked appropriate questions throughout the project to make sure he was creating exactly the look we wanted in the floor. The floor looks beautiful. After paying for materials and for Rick's service we saved $1300, almost half the cost of having our contractor do the same job. Part of this is because Ricks fees are so low and also because we did some of the work ourselves, such as moving the furniture and painting the woodwork. It was worth it. Rick does great finish work. This is his second job for us. He installed our front door last year, which is much harder than it looks. We are delighted with his work.

He did everything perfectly. We've been using him for about 3 months now. He is terrific- always prompt, is very talented, willing to help with most anything, reasonably priced, and a really nice guy.

It was wonderful. He is a good person. He even gave us his home and business phone numbers in case my mother needs him when I'm out of town. He has is a godsend to our household. He is very reasonable.

Getting handywork from Rick is very straightforward: You call him, describe what you need to do on the phone (can be one big task or a list of small tasks), he shows up on time, you give him the list and he gets to work. If desired, you can work with him (which I usually do). This time I had a set of landscaping stairs I had started with pressure treated lumber. I had done 5 out of 10 steps, but it was taking me too long. Rick worked fast and efficiently. We were able to complete the remaining 5 steps in less than a day. They are built strong with dormers, 4' steel rebars driven in the ground and long lag screws.

All A's for Rick. Hired him for 3 days to help me fix up a home we'd purchased. While I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do, Rick improved upon many of those ideas and also suggested other items he could do while I had him there. Good work ethic, very good balance of speed and quality in his work, and easy to talk to. I will hire him again when I have a bundle of work for him. Thanks Rick!

Rick called me back the same day after I left him a message and then he called me back a couple of days later as I had not yet responded. I appreciated the follow-up as that showed initiative on his part. He communicated well with me and showed that he had an eye for detail. I will definitely be utilizing his talents again and would highly recommend him for your needs. If there's something outside the scope of his area of expertise, he will tell you so, and this level of honesty is critical. Upon arrival Rick had me sign his timecard and went right to work. He is very knowledgeable about repairs and also seems to be very detail and customer service oriented. He asked how I would like things repaired, listened to what was discussed and followed through. All the projects were done beautifully and I have already scheduled some more work to be done in a few weeks. It feels great to be able to cross all these projects off my list. I believe he keeps quite busy, my first appointment was scheduled about 3 weeks out, so schedule with patience. His prices are extremely reasonable and I would not hesitate to recommend his work to my friends.
