Rick's Handyman Service

It went well. I had Rick work on a list of small repair items. He gets to work right away and never stops working. Rick contacts me promptly if he is running late.

Well. Paid for 2 hours up front through Angie's list- and he used most of that time up in figuring out how much fencing and materials he would need and then in going to purchase the lumber and other supplies.

He was a good worker. Easy to talk to and was cordial.He was a fast and efficient.

It was good. It took him 2 hours to replace the garbage disposal. I had other work for him as well but he didn't get to it.

Started out with two hour special but ended with work for two full days. Since you pay by the hour, spent a little more than I wanted but work was completed and he came back to fine tune some areas that settled.

Easy to get schedules but a wait until there was an opening. Rick very carefully filled the hole and anchoring the fill, then patched the repair and re-textured the surface to match the ceiling. He returned later in the week to 'knock down' the surface making it almost undetectable.

Rick took extra care to make sure things were done right. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. We will definitely hire him again!

He not only made the drywall look like new, he showed me what he was doing in case I needed to DIY in the future. He came from a distance to do a simple, inexpensive repair.

Outstanding experience! Excellent results at good pricing. Will certainly hire Rick Herzog again to work on my home projects. Note: Rick schedules himself 3-4 weeks out. Worth the wait! Rick's rate is 4 hour minimum at $45/hour. His motto is "takes as long to do the job right". One may initially be apprehensive signing up for an open-ended contract, but Rick was focused, working non-stop for 4 - 5 hours over two days to complete the project. Day 1: measure, cut and install drywall. Day 2: install metal corners, mesh taping and apply drywall compound. Rick was punctual both days, and gave a courtesy call 30 - 60 minutes before arriving. Rick's work results exhibited quality attributes: - anticipates and conscientious ("measure twice; cut once"). - utility and industrial strength-minded: drywall screws instead of nails; fibatape (web) instead of drywall paper tape. - 90-minute cement instead of 15-minutes quick-dry. - flat cap drywall nails for metal edging. - economical and resourceful: cuts drywall with minimum wasted pieces. I found Rick to be extremely knowledgeable on all facets of home construction and repairs.

Rick was professional, personable, and most importantly, knowledgeable about his craft. He has experience with the homebuilding process, which I found helpful as he explained what he was doing and why.

Great. Rick fixed the problem another handyman could not figure out. He also checked up in person on bad rainy day to make sure it was still ok. He is now my go to handyman!

Rick Herzog, the handyman, arrived promptly on schedule. He went straight to work for 5 hours working efficiently and quickly. Rick was so dedicated he didn't even take a lunch break! He was also personable to chat with. He even showed me a few maintenance pointers around the house. His price ($45 per hour) is pretty reasonable as well. Rick has a lot of knowledge built up over the years. Rick also recommended a contractor to me for one item/task which he said the other person would be more capable than him to finish. I appreciate the honesty. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an accomplished handyman.

Rick was amazing! He is very knowledgeable in a wide range of areas and has many years of experience. He was very thorough and professional and did everything on our list perfectly. Among everything he did great, He was able to install a ceiling fan from **** (no electricity going to pre wire, box too small and on a 12 foot ceiling), he figured out how to get the electricity to the fan and make it work on a switch. He showed us how everything worked and was as nice and friendly as could be. We highly recommend him and will be going to him again as our punch list builds up again.

Rick began work immediately and did not stop for 6 hours - not even for a lunch break. He goes over everything with you and ensures all is done to your liking. Line up your projects and Rick will knock them out. I would hire Rick again.

I've had Rick do various handyman jobs around the house. He is always my first call to see if it's a job he can handle and for the most part he can. He sets an appointment and is reliable, shows up on time and does the work in an efficient manner.

We are glad we found Rick on Angie's List. Everything was done to our satisfaction and we believe the price charged was very fair.
