In 2023 Do It Right Painters was recommended to us by a friend who had them paint his house. We were told their work is above and beyond basic standards and they are perfectionists in the truest sense of the word. We hired them to paint the trim on our house. Many coats of paint were used when needed. Their work far exceeded our expectations. In 2024 we hired them to repair and paint our 20-plus year old fence. Wood was rotted. Support studs were wobbly requiring repair and reinforcement. They tediously and meticulously scraped each piece of wood by hand! You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
There are a few ways to make your deck look new without professional power washing. First, you can use either store-bought cleaners or dish soap and water to mop your deck regularly to clean off accumulated dirt.
