The Painting System

Great guy, very knowledgeable. I had had repeated window and stucco leaks in the past, which he successfully fixed. I held off my rating for a few weeks until after there more more rainstorms, and success! Reasonable price and no more leaks!

Beautiful job on the exterior of my home! It is obvious they take pride in what they do. Prep work was extremely thorough, which makes such a big difference. I also found them to be very timely and responsive and the price to be reasonable.

They were excellent, They got in touch quickly owner help me pick the color scheme to use they came and put it very quickly and they did an extremely professional job.

It took them five and a half hours. They men worked so hard for three days and they did a beautiful job on my house and driveway.

The estimator makes you feel super comfortable and at ease with your descision. They assure you when they leave everything will be cleaned up and they will leave you with individually marker containers of touch up paint in all the colors. In short the job took longer than stated, parts of my walls are now peeling and I can't touch up my walls because they didn't leave touch up colors or the names of the colors they even used. Would not use them again.

Showed up 3 days late. I told painters stucco only-they painted my garage door. They did not clean up when they left.

I am moderately pleased with their work. They gave me an expensive quote so I called the owner and he worked on it. The price seems to be okay. The workers were hardworking. They were very responsive when I raised a questions or I had any issues. The owner was pretty genial and responsive on the frontend but my main complaint with them was they were not supervising the work, so if the owner was not this active, I really would have not got such a good job done. Also the initial team was sent without all the equipments that they really needed to do the job well. They ended up using my ladders and breaking one.

Painters were on time each day, staying until each day's work was done. Total job was finished in 3 days. My nieghbor & I had agreed on the 2 colors we wanted prior to selecting a contractor. This contractor recommended a 3d complimentary color to go with the 2. My neighbor decided to stick with the original 2 colors; I chose to use all 3. In retrospect, I should have stayed with the original 2 colors, but can live with the 3d one added for trim.

Frank and his family were very friendly, which is the reason that we hired them in the first place. He talked about the different types of prep work that he puts into a paint job which helps it stand the test of time. In truth, they did a decent job of scraping paint off the side of the house, but the trim work received almost no prep work. In fact, I recently repainted the front door trim because it was botched so terribly. Our house was painted in March, and there was some spotty weather that delayed finishing the job. Frank said that it didn't make sense to try to finish during damp weather because the paint might not adhere well. Well, they finally decided to finish up on a rainy Friday. Frank let it slip during my conversation with him that he had received several bids for jobs that day--which explains why they were in such a hurry to finish that day. The results were mixed. The body of the house looks fine, but the trim is just passable. The problem is with the front walkway, which began to bubble and chip almost immediately because it was painted during the damp weather. I have called at least six times to ask for The Painting System to come repair the walkway, but I have only gotten empty promises. This has been going on for months, and now I am trying to sell a house with a chipping walkway. The Painting System gives you a ten-year warranty on the paint job, but from their unprofessional response, the warranty is worthless.

Great. ONe hicup which was unresoved was some damage done to a fountain while trying to paint behind it. Other than this, job was excellent.

We asked 4 painters for bids. The first came out the same night, but we didn't receive his estimate until 6 days later. He was fairly detailed about what he would do. Frank Baldwin came the next day. I liked his detailed discussion of the issues, but especially I liked his plan of doing the interior in sections so that at the end of each day the house would be livable. He presented a written estimate before leaving. The third came the next day (a Saturday). He also left a written estimate. He was quite detailed also, but while the first two estimated a week, he estimated more like 3 weeks. His estimate was also close to twice as high. The 4th came out the following Tue and emailed their estimate the next day. They were also higher than the 1st 2 but seemed very business-like, maybe too much so in that it seemed that if anything unspecified came up it would be difficult to deal with. It was also somewhat higher than the first 2. The Painting System crew showed up 2 weeks later as scheduled. This was the last week of April and the weather was somewhat unsettled, so we were concerned when the crew didn't show up Monday until after noon, with rain predicted for Tue or Wed. However, they didn't have a problem. They had estimated a week and they were done by Friday. They did the inside during the rainy stretch and then did the outside (in a very strong north wind). The inside included all closets, which was quite a bit of extra work. There was also one section of the ceiling that wasn't easily handled, but they persisted until we were reasonable satisfied that it couldn't be improved. This was a series of ceiling cracks that turned out to be more trouble that expected. I would say that at all times they were professional, courteous and very responsive to anything we were concerned about. After the first day they took the trouble to remove all flooring plastic to allow us to have a reasonably normal night. The oddest time was the final evening when they had masked all the windows so it was like living inside a coccoon. Again, each day they came early, worked hard, and finished on schedule and with no price overruns. We have been very satisified! Since we used the exact same color scheme, they had more trouble to be certain they didn't miss any sections, but anywhere we had a concern they were happy to repaint without argument.

I would hire them again in a minute. They did what they said they were going to do, in the time they said they would complete it. The price was fair for all the work they had done also.

It was a really good job, and they did it pretty quickly. They finished the job in two days. The first day, they pressure washed and treated the exterior. The next day, they did all the scraping and painting. It was pretty amazing.

I think I ended up using The Painting System because the person from there was local. I actually drove out and met him. He was familiar with the area. He told me that he would do the job within 2-3 weeks. He drove through a month in advance to check on the building. While he was doing the job, wherever he saw damage, he didn?t paint over it. I think he owns The Painting System, but he has people working for him. I don?t know how large The Painting System is but has accommodated my 36 unit apartment building. There were a couple of weeks when it was raining. So, he had to stop the work. Overall, I was very happy with his work. The work turned out to be a little more expensive, because of the dry rods. However, he was very competitive compared to the other bids I had received.

FRANK CAME BY THE EVENING I CALLED, HAD A GOOD PRICE AND HAD AN OPENING THE NEXT WEEK. VERY PROFESSIONAL. GREAT GROUP OF WORKERS. BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH THE COLOR. I WASN'T REAL SPECIFIC. IT TURNED OUT GREAT ANYWAY.

It was very good. He had a nice personality. He took time to explain things.

THEY DID A DECENT JOB ON MY HOME. THEY CAME TO WORK IN THE MORNING AND WORKED UNTIL DARK TO GET EVERYTHING DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS GOOD.
