I was hoping for that amt. of money, she could have given me more suggestions. Yes, the fireplace facing was an excellent idea. I was hoping we could cover more than that, but I guess this process takes longer than I thought. Now it's up to me to choose more updated color schemes & fabrics I like. Well, if I knew that, I wouldn't need any help. She was very nice & personable. She sent me a picture of what her fire[lace looked like that was the same choice I had made. I'd use her again, but I have a lot of homework to do before she comes back. She said she knew someone who could do a very good job of recovering furniture.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased the coupon for a couple hours of consultation. I was probably under prepared. In the end, it was largely about looking through catalogs at bedding and accessories. We later received a quote on the bedding and accessories we were interested in and it was over $2000. It was a good experience but we didn't get a lot out of it. This was likely in part because I didn't know what to expect and really should have been more targeted in what I hoped to accomplish.

Carrie at Visual harmony has been great to work with. I have very specific ideas of home interiors for which I am looking and Carrie has helped me source the pieces. She is responsive and provides a variety of ideas/options within the direction I have provided. Work continues on-going.

Carrie was excellent, pleasant and professional. She really gave me my money's worth and spent unhurried time with me as I went room to room in my two story town house for her advice. I plan to contact her again.

It went very well with Visual Harmony Interiors. She was very experienced and had recommendations that made a lot of sense to use and looks very nice. She put in more time than we expected.

Carrie was extremely helpful. All her design comments made sense. She was very comfortable to work with. I especially liked that she could see past the clutter in my home to have a vision of how my home could be. She provided a strategy for how to accomplish what I wanted - the order that things needed to be done in. Although we talked a lot about possibilities, she made sure she accomplished something concrete before leaving.

After reviewing my "before" photos she emailed options to consider. during the appointment, she listened to my concerns and preferences. After that discussion, she rearranged furniture and accessories. When she finished, I actually said, "Wow," just like on HGTV programs. I was impressed. I am enjoying my "new" room. Everyday I enter the room, I smile. I paid an additional fee because I wanted more time with her on the day of the service. I plan to have her assist me with other rooms.

Carrie was delightful. She was punctual and very professional while also being a lot of fun to work with. She listened to my overall goal, and then got to work moving furniture around. she worked non-stop for 3 hours and turned my mediocre living room into a much more charming space. I love the way it looks, and will like it even more after it's painted with the colors she recommended. She gave me ideas for area rugs and additional wall art, but the fascinating thing was to see how she transformed the room by simply rearranging the things I already have. She has a great eye for design and such a nice personality that I would happily consult with her on other rooms in my house.

I first met Carrie Yoshida seven years ago when looking for a designer to help in refurnishing my home. Due to unexpected circumstances, I didn't follow through with refurnishing, but remembering how easygoing, professional, and unintimidating Carrie was, I contacted her again in 2010 to stage my home for sale. We talked briefly about her ideas, but after seeing photos of Carrie's staging expertise, I had no concerns about leaving the project in her hands. Carrie worked well with my agent understanding there was a tight turnaround time, Carrie adjusted her schedule to meet the agent's timeline, she incorporated the agent's ideas in her design plan, and she ensured that the date of staging was convenient in my schedule. I arrived home around 8:00p on that date and was overwhelmed by the transformation of my home. I remember walking around each room awestruck by Carrie's work everything tastefully coordinated, beautiful color schemes, paintings on walls, flowers in vases, carefully placed eyeglasses near a pencil and pad in the office, the finest details I wouldn't imagine. I considered not selling the house if I could keep the staging!!! Friends who attended the first open house commented on how amazing the décor looked, one friend so excited by the color Carrie chose for the kitchen walls that she had her kitchen painted in that same color. I was in escrow within the week of that open house. When I moved into my condo, I contracted with Carrie to do the interiors. I started from scratch with a remodel, so there was quite a bit of early work to be done choosing paint colors for the walls, hardwood and carpet flooring, window coverings, and hardware for kitchen cabinets. Carrie established a great rapport with my contractor, which was essential to the process. When the remodel was complete, Carrie helped me select furnishings for every room in the two-bedroom condo. Again, I started from scratch, bringing only my piano and grandfather clock. Carrie started the process by asking questions about my style what colors do I like, do I have traditional or modern tastes. Having no style to articulate, except that, having grown up in Hawaii, I was interested in an Asian/tropical feel, I showed her photos of my Hawaiian dream home, and that was all she needed. Carrie, with her keen eye for style, proceeded to find pieces that reflected an Asian or Polynesian feel, yet, had traditional features I think she referred to my style as transitional and what could have been an onerous project turned out to be a most pleasurable experience for me. Carrie made it so easy by doing the leg work, presenting me with options, never trying to hard sell, always respecting my opinions (actually valuing my opinions and ideas!), and making sure that she was incorporating into the design my decorative items, those personal treasures that make the condo home. Aside from her professional expertise and approach (always on time for appointments, answered calls and text messages within an hour, responded to email within 24 hours, flexed her schedule to accommodate mine on many occasions, transparent and fair in her billing practice, etc.), Carrie is kind, generous, and has a great sense of humor. I cannot recommend Visual Harmony Interiors more highly!!!

Carrie came to my home and provided consultation and concrete suggestions for updating and rearranging furniture. I will hire Carrie for additional hours once I complete the painting and fireplace updating. In the meantime, Carrie has promptly responded to my emails with questions stemming from the consult. |I like her ideas and want to add that she worked with my furniture and there was no pressure to purchase new furniture.

Carrie was great to work with. she helped us with re-decorating our master bedroom. she took time to consult and find out what we liked and i never felt pressured to go with her ideas. In fact, she encouraged adding touches of our own. our bedroom turned out beautiful. we got rid of our carpet and laid down beautiful hardwood floor. Carrie helped us with bedding, furniture, reupholstery services. i would definitely use her services again.

Visual Harmony was always on time except for the first time when she got lost. She was very professional. Her pricing was a little on the high side. She kept excellent record but I ended up ordering about 9 items from her.

Carrie was very professional througout. To begin with we sent her photos of the room as it was. Carrie then arranged to visit to see the space in person. She brought along a book of very nice bedding choices, as that was to be the driving item in redecorating with all other items following the bedding. We were very happy with one of the choices in her book and purchased the bedding online. Once we received the bedding and made the room up with that, we sent pictures to Carrie so she could see how it looked. There were a few back and forths by email to select curtains and those were also purchased online. Once we received the curtains, Carrie returned to our house and reviewed the room again to see how everything looked in person. We then went shopping together for lamps, art, and accent pieces. We were able to find a very reasonably priced set of lamps and a mirror that matched a pattern on the sheets very closely. Carrie even installed the mirror on the wall herself! Carrie was great at advising what would go and what would not and was prepared with printouts of our bedding that she brought along for reference. We did not find any artwork on this foray, but Carrie also gave us some hints as to what to look for in terms of size and color. Once we find something, we'll share it again online with Carrie and get her judgement. Even the not entirely finished room looks like we did do a complete remodel. She has amazing taste and we are very happy with all of her decisions. When we were finished with the bedroom, we asked a few general questions about her opinion on the living and dining room and Carrie had some great ideas on how to quickly re-arrange thosee rooms to maximize the balance and flow. She also had some suggestions as to artwork to enhance the rooms better than what we had in place. We look forward to working with Carrie more in the future.

Everyday it is a pleasure for me to walk through the redesigned rooms in my home. They embody both the warmth and the ?pop? of color that I requested. I marvel at how well the choice of furniture, paint colors, plants and window treatments combine to provide interest, visual attractiveness and continuity within and between rooms. The rooms that satisfy me most are those which received a total redesign - my office and the living room. If money permitted I would have Carrie redesign all the rooms in my house. On my own I would never have selected the style and design elements that Carrie suggested. But once these suggestions were made I soon learned to appreciate the aesthetics of her ideas/choices and to value her expertise. Carrie met all of my expectations: 1) she worked within my limited budget, 2) greatly reduced the time and stress involved in the redesign process, 3) provided an attractive outcome , 4) was a good listener and collaborator with me, and 5) provided good resources for services and purchases. What I did not expect was to have fun participating in a process I?ve long been dreading. The latter was due to Carrie's upbeat manner and patience.
