I normally side with the business in most cases but in this one I am perplexed by the outcome of my engagement with Mauzy. It started out with my outside unit making a loud noise as it ran that would go in and out, almost like a rattle in the housing of the unit. I called Mauzy to come out and take a look. The booking process was great and the technician who came out was super nice. He looked at the unit, checked the level readings for the coolant and said everything looked fine. He was perplexed at the noise but just told me its a lower end unit so that is probably just the noise it makes and that he didn't even have a suggestion on what to try to fix. I said "ok and thanks", paid him the service fee and he went on his way. The very next day I turn the unit on for heat in the morning and you could hear power to the unit but the fan wouldn't start up. I called out a different HVAC company and they did some tests and immediately found out that Run Capacitor was bad based on testing the terminals. He replaced the capacitor and the heater worked immediately and the noise it was making stopped. After talking to the service rep he indicated this is the most common problem with units when this capacitor goes bad. My issue here is why didn't the original technician from Mauzy test the capacitor if this is the most commonly failing item of a unit. You would think that outside of testing coolant level the capacitor would be next. Again, everything else with Mauzy was great except for fixing the issue I called them out for and charging me to tell me everything looked fine.

If I could give Mauzy an A+ for responsiveness and service, I would. They provided our new unit, and when a small problem was discovered were out to fix it promptly with no attempt to avoid coming back out at all. Awesome people from sales, installation and service departments. Could not ask for more. Only gave them a B on price because it can always be better.. I think.

They showed up as planned, the guys were very polite and extremely professional. We were told it should take about two days this was incorrect, as it took about one and a third days and the last day was mostly clean up. Over the years I have dealt with all kinds of contractors and these guys take the cake!

This is the biggest rip-off I have ever experienced. I needed to replace 2 thermostats. Each Honeywell T6 Pro series thermostat was $595.00. A few days later I decided to look up all the fancy things this one has and I was in for the shock of a lifetime. Nothing fancy! No WiFi or special features. Just a basic thermostat. I found the the same thermostat online with a major company for $68.50 and they will include expert installation for$104.49. I was told I need this particular one because of the way my air and heating are. I just feel sick about the entire experience.

This is an outstanding company. From the salesperson, to the installers, to the post-install followup on several important items, they execute on every detail. The install techs have thorough knowledge of their disciplines, and they work well together as a team. They also communicate well within the organization between managers, field staff and office administration. We installed a high-end Lennox heating and air-conditioning system in a 2900 s.f. home. All the necessary and planned work, such as ducting and equipment placement was done without a hitch. Since the furnace is a condensing unit, they needed to re-oriented the PVC flue pipe, which required opening a new attic access panel in the garage ceiling to get access. They did this for minimal charge. All the interactions with Mauzy personnel have been professional and polite. I highly recommend this company.

The A/C actually has cold air coming out of the vents now, so that's a plus. :) We had a home warranty company come out twice four years ago to recharge the refrigerant (system initially installed by Mauzy was about 5 years old at that point), but they never agreed to find and fix any possible leaks. (In related news, we don't have a home warranty company any more, as we got tired of having crappy service with no control over who comes to our house.) Today, we had the refrigerant recharged, and a stop-leak additive placed to hopefully seal off the tiny leak that must still be there somewhere. We probably won't know for sure that it worked for another several years. The pricing is probably comparable to other companies, but it always strikes me as expensive. Cost to replace up to 3 pounds of refrigerant: $390. Cost for the stop-leak additive: $362. Service call was $139, but waived due to the Angie's List coupon (thanks!).

Travis Q. is taking over the solar installation. He walked me through the entire process. In addition, I had questions regarding the upgrading of my air conditioning which had just been done by Mauzy. When he could not answer one of my questions, he arranged to have a technician come out. Travis was very knowlegeable, communicated everything very clearly and answered all my questions.

Went well, Daniel was very professional but when he said the problem was caused by an installation problem by some other firm working on it .. I know that was incorrect , Mauzy is the only firm that has ever worked on this AC unit .. the evap tray crack causing a slow leak was likely due to me accidentally stepping on the PVC drain pipe .. anyway I avoided his recommended $1690 fee to replace the tray by sealing the leaking crack with 5 minute Epoxy and alls well. Without Daniels help tho I might not have found the reason the AC unit shut off to prevent a leak in the ceiling .

Mauzy is the One Stop Shop for me. Travis Q, Josh O and Derek E were my recent field service technicians and they are awesome as is every other employee I have had the pleasure of working with. Mauzy installed whole house solar for my cabin involving a large RV Carport capable of withstanding the snow and wind loading here in the mountains. They installed a top of the line Heating and Air-conditioning system as well as upgrading my electrical wiring at the same location. I am looking into a whole home generator as a back-up. They are trust worthy and have helped me find contractors for services they do not provide. Derek E, Travis Q and Josh O recently did work and were efficient and professional as is every Mauzy employee I've worked with. Cody Mauzy has gone out of his way to help me and I cannot thank him and Matt enough for everything they've done. They are not cheap, they are fair and you can trust them.

We received quotes from 3 companies before deciding on Mauzy. Mauzy was not the cheapest company but we liked how complete the evaluation of our home was conducted. Completed the job in 2 days. Overall the process from quote to completion was great. Just two items that could be improved upon. The Field Service Supervisor that was overseeing our job failed to notice that we purchased R8 ducting in order to qualify for the EUC rebate. Had I not noticed they would have installed the R6, failed the post test and would have had to redo all the ducting. This mistake should not have happened and the supervisor should be more knowledgeable about theob he is supervising!! He seemed a little distracted. My other issue was the cleanup after the installation. The guys working on the inside did a great job sweeping and vacuuming and laying down protective cloths. Outside where the actual cutting and assembly took place not so good. Small pieces of the metal ducting was left inside and outside the garage as well some screws (that could puncture a tire). I am still finding small pieces around the driveway. This could have been taken care of with a Shop Vac upon completion. The good news is that everything works well and we passed the post installation inspection for the rebate. Overall a great company to work with. The price listed below includes all the rebates and discounts.

All of the personnel I dealt with were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They were very careful when they were working inside of my condo and cleaned up after themselves before they left for the day.
