Martin Electric

Bill Martin came out to give us an estimate on the day we called him. He was able to schedule the work very quickly. His team of 2 experienced electricians and one helper arrived on time and worked quickly, thoroughly and cheerfully. They put down plastic and dust sheets, and cleaned up after themselves. They were very careful not to damage drywall or paint, and we will not need to have any additional repairs. There was a slight miscommunication and only 3 new lights were installed initially. However, this was immediately corrected once we noticed, with an excellent attitude to making sure we were happy with the job. Everything works great and we are very happy with the job. They were not the cheapest quote we received, but the work was done very quickly and competently. Highly recommended.

I called the company on a Monday. Mr. Martin returned the call within a couple of hours and arranged to come out the following day. He was prompt, courteous, gave me a good estimate, and did the work the same day. He re-screwed the wallboard back where it had to be removed. He cleaned up after himself, and everything works just fine now.

Amazing experience. Excellent work! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

They had good communication, were timely, and neat. I could not have been more pleased. I would use them again without reservation.

Bill was very pleasant and was a pleasure to deal with from the scheduling through completion of the work. He was very effective at troubleshooting the problem and then fixing it.

Bill Martin made time in an already full schedule to accommodate us at short notice. He worked efficiently and his explanation of the problem and resolution was precise. This was top notch service at a reasonable price.

Overall the quality of the work was good, but they forgot to mention on the phone that the quoted $75/hour rate and 10% discount for Angie's List customers had a 4-hour minimum ($300). Also, did not return several of our calls to confirm appointment date/time.

Mr Martin was on time, explained everything he was doing as he had three apprentices with him. He checked with me to make sure it was OK for them to be there. He gave me 10% discount for using Angie's list.

The electricians from this company arrived on time (a day after I contacted them) and were pleasant and courteous. They were very fast and efficient and knew what the problem was immediately. Overall, a great experience.

My only complaint is they failed to provide a follow-up quote on additional work as promised.

They were honest and reasonable with fast service. Compared to the other electrical company who saw the same problem but proceeded to suggest a complete replace at $700, Martin electric fixed the things with a simple 10 minute work. I have come out of this experience with full confidence in their ability as well as honesty.

Bill Martin was very efficient and pleasant. It took less than two days to complete the job. Because he was recommended by our general contractor to do our electrical, we believe his price was a bit higher than if we'd done competitive bidding and hired him on our own. So due to that situation, we're giving a ''B'' grade for price.

Our first contact was 3/22/06 by phone. We have no oven due to needing a new 200 AMP panel plus some trenching. Mike, owner, told me he would come by the house and check out the amount of trenching, call SDGE for their input, which would take about 7 working days. I never heard back and started calling him a week ago. Left two messages. Never even the courtesy of a response from him.

THEY CAME ON SCHEDULE FOR THE ESTIMATE, CAME BACK ON SCHEDULE AND DID WORK EXACTLY AS PLANNED, AND DID VERY GOOD QUALITY WORK.

I found Bill Martin and his working partner to be punctual, polite and hard working. I felt they worked well with our needs and completed the job to my satisfaction. My only suggestion would be a written scope of work at the beginning of the job to avoid any confusion on either part.

Bill answered his phone immediately and came to our house the same day. He was professional, nice and extremely knowledgeable about our electric problems. We would definitely hire him again for any future electrical problems or installations.

Bill Martin was great. He was in the area and so came within an hour of my call (on a Friday afternoon), was punctual and professional and extemely nice. (I cant comment on the price because I asked him to send the bill directly to the owner of the house.)

Excellent. Responsive, Reasonably price (not cheap, but fair) professional, great work, great ideas, very easy to work with, gets along well with other trades, does not nickel and dime with customer over changes, very clean work product.

Bill was very pleasant, price was reasonable but getting in touch with him and keeping the appointments was very bad. I took off work to be there when he was scheduled twice.. called him once and he couldn't make it on his scheduled time and the second time... I just never called back. I believe he would have been fine to do the job but you have to show up to do it. Rating will be for inconvenience, no show and no calls to explain...

My experience with Martin Electric was the best I've ever had with an electrician. Bill was on time, professional, and efficient. He was able to come the same day I called, which was very important to me. When I called, he answered the phone himself and made it clear that he wanted my business. When he got to my place, it was obvious to me that he's extremely good at what he does (he fixed my problem in 10 seconds). I was really impressed and would recommend Martin Electric to anyone in need of basic or extensive electrical work.

No response for the provider. I did not pay for any service. I only entered $1.00 to get the report to accept my response.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB FOR A REASONABLE PRICE! THEY WERE QUICK AND CLEAN AND HANDLED WHAT ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN HAD CALLED 'A DIFFICULT JOB' WITH RELATIVE EASE. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND STRAIGHTFORWARD. I WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN.

THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM THAT TWO OTHER ELECTRICIANS COULD NOT AND FIXED THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX.

BILL ACCOMPLISHED THE WORK IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE WAS IN AND OUT, JOB COMPLETE,NO PROBLEMS.
