Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Description of Work: The sewer line was clogged backing up sewage into the clean out. RR cleaned out the line which was fouled with roots and mud. He put a camera down and we could see roots so the sewer line will have to be dug up and part of it replaced as it is probably broken allowing the mud and roots.

Description of Work: I called Roto-Rooter to unclog my main drain line. They replied fast, the next day and we set up an appt. for them to come out and fix the problem. They quickly found the problem and were also able to repair a section of my drain line that was leaking and installed in correctly. They were friendly and professional. They didn't waste any time and worked quickly. As for the cost, I don't know what plumbing services typically charge. Their rate was $ 190.00 per hour for two plumbers. That may be a little higher than some other plumbers charge but they gave me a bit of a discount too. So I was fine with the cost of the repairs and think it was fair.

Description of Work: My only bathtub had been progressively slowing and reached the point that yucky dark (not toilet water backed up whenever I did a wash. Using Angie's list reviews, I contacted Roto-Rooter and Brian came out. My house apparently has no exterior cleanouts so he pulled out the washing machine in the garage to get to the drain. Before long I had a clear running drain and he left things cleaner then he found them. He was also very nice (and animal friendly to boot. )I should have skipped the Drano I tried and called Roto Rooter earlier. On the other hand, if I were doing it over I wouldn't have opted for the super-duper eco drain cleaner. I did use it that night as instructed , but really--I've lived here four years and this is the first drain blockage I've had. It cost 47.75 for a gallon.and is supposed to be repeated periodically. It also comes in quarts. I looked on line for some objective feedback on the stuff the next day but couldn't find much. I wasn't pressured at all to take it. Also , I had pretty much stripped a screw trying to get the cover to the bathtub drain assembly off . I did get it half way off and hoped he could get it the rest of the way (thinking I could replace the screw.) When I looked after left, it was screwed back in. I never stated my wishes regrading the screw and can't expect mind reading. ( I think that's another Angie's list category :))So I see the eco stuff and screw as on me
