Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They misdiognised the problem with the sewer line and after they haad said what they are going to do, they said they were going to replace the whole sewer line. It was going to cost 6000$. I told them I was not going to pay 6000$. I asked them so I pay per hour for what they had done. Then they called their supervisor and he said we can put the sewer clean out and I can pay the 900$. I would not recommend them. I did not like their professionalism.

I would rate them A on everything but the price. I think the price was really high. Overall it was good what they did. I would consider them in the future.

We had a clogged landscape drain - one could literally see the clog from the open end of the drain pipe. With "Pineapple Express" storms on their way, I called them from work to arrange a service appointment with my wife at home. They charged us $250 for a failed service attempt, indicating that the drain was clogged behind repair, but they still needed to charge us for an hour of service. ...later that night I directed a stream of water from our hose into the drain and in 10 min was able to remove most of the debris. I don't post a lot of reviews, but these guys are expensive, charged for a job not done, and are polite and prompt but have terrible service. You can do better - find someone else.

It went very well. We have had problems with tree roots growing into the sewer line from the house producing backups. Joaquin evaluated the entire line exterior to the house, located several levels of tree root intrusion and used a double blade to cut them out of the pipe. He also gave us information about methods of possibly preventing recurrence of this problem. Joaquin was very helpful and nice to deal with.

Mr weider was so professional and knowledgeable. I would say he's a plumbers plumber. He didn't fast talk and try to convince us to do more then was needed. When Mr Weider came to my home the first time he had one of his co-workers with him who had been to my home before. He was also helpful . I willl request Mr Weider come to my house my next service call to Roto-Rooter

They were very professional, clean, explained everything fully and went over the cost before starting the work. They were here for about an hour/ hour and a half. Compared to other companies I've used, they do a very thorough job and ensure they dot the i's and cross the t's before they leave. I am very satisfied with the work and I would use them again in the future.

Jeremy was great. When I told him I was an Angie's list member and I asked if there was a discount he mentioned that there was a coupon on the home page of the website. I was able to use the coupon on this service....which for plumbing issues is usually expensive but happy I could save a little with the coupon. He took the extra time to look forward and backward in the line and also to use the larger 4 inch attachment to clean out the roots a bit better. He recommended calling the previous company that fixed the line just a year ago and letting them know that the line clogged up with roots and they should redo it. He did mentioned that they could also do the work. I'm glad he was able to clear it and I will have to think about who I would want to fix the problem long term so I won't have to deal with this again!! I appreciate Jeremy taking the extra time to check the lines and to use the bigger attachment so he could get more roots out so we wouldn't have problems for a while....but as he said it's not a permanent fix.

They are efficient. They did the job really well. I've had them years before so I'm familiar with their work. It was fine. There was no problem and everything was great. They also give senior citizens discount. Their price and quality is good.

I phoned someone else on a Saturday morning; after a few hours with no call back, I phoned Roto-Rooter. They said they would be by later that afternoon. They came and diagnosed and fixed the problem and demonstrated that all was well before they left.

It went fantastic! Jesus (from E Palo Alto Roto Rooter) was amazing! We live in a 1928 house which shares a sewer line from the house to the street. We have had this problem before, and a guy came out last time, shoved a snake down the clear-out, forced the problem out and left. That was it - no camera, no check to see what the problem was. For the same price, Roto-Rooter came out, they first put the camera in the sewer from the street, found the problem (roots), exactly where the problem was (68 feet from the street) - he then snaked the line and was able to get the snake turning the right direction through two Y junctions (we watched everything on the camera - I have no idea how he navigated those junctions, but he was a master!). Anyway, he fixed it, showed us exactly where the problem is, told us exactly what we needed to do about it,and called today to let us know what the quote is to fix it permanently (rip out the bad portion of the main drain which is underground, insert a T junction with a clear-out so that we have easy access in the future). Jesus was happy, helpful, professional, knew his trade, and a terrific guy. I would use them again without any question, and I intend to get them out to take care of the long-term problem...

Their price was expensive. He tried what he could. There's no dislikes and he did a fine job. I would use them again.

This is a letter that my mother wrote. Since I am currently living with her, I am posting it on her behalf, and echo her sentiments wholeheartedly. Keith Campell rocked it! In all businesses when services are unsatisfactory, complaints can be expected. However, when service is good, I think it should be acknowledged. Today we had a plumbing blockage job that was assigned to Keith Campbell, Certified Field Trainer. Keith arrived right on time with a big smile and friendly greeting, assessed the problem quickly, explained what he was going to do, as well as quoting us the cost. It seemed to go fairly quickly. I'm sorry I can't provide details. They did need to do some digging to get to the main drain, but everything proceeded fairly smoothly and there wasn't a lot of mess to clean up.

Went very well. They provide service on Saturday at no surcharge, which was very helpful. Technician arrived on time and explained what he was doing (replacing heating element). Explained that my water heater is known among plumbers to be of poor quality and that this part is notorious for failing. Seemed expensive, but it was intricate work.

It was just some simple work and they were very good. It was normal rates; it wasn't anything that stood out or shocking. They were very responsive.

The service technician arrived at 8:15 AM, attempted to unclog toilet found roots between bees wax ring and flange. Toilet still clogged. Took toilet outside still unable to unclog. Since old toilet could not be unclogged we decided to purchase a new low flow toilet which Joseph Caron, the service technician, picked up from the hardware store ,delivered, installed and took away old toilet. He departed at 10:55. The new toilet works great. Joseph informed us that the local water company offered rebates to customers replacing old toilets with new low flow toilets for which we have applied.

The plumber arrived within one and a half hours of my calling the dispatcher, which was great. I told him the toilet won't flush, the plunger won't work to clear clog. He tried to clear the clog first with an auger, he said if this worked it would cost $175, but if the problem was deeper the cost would be more. The auger did not clear the drain and my house does not have a clean out installed. Without a clean out for the plumber to access to clear the drain by himself, this would be a two man job, one guy on the roof, and another feeding the rooter from the ground. The roots that caused the issue were removed, mission accomplished but I feel that the cost to clear the drain was far beyond the amount of work done. $300-350 would have been fair. I feel ripped off.

It went well, they took care of business and were on time. Very courteous, and all the people that we worked with over the two week time frame were very good.

Snaked kitchen and lower shower drains. They arrived within 30 minutes and it took about one hour to complete. I have been using them for years. No complaints.

We had a clogged drain backing up our two bathrooms. We called Roto-Rooter and they were out within an hour, snaked everything and had it back working in no time. The crew was very friendly and professional, but I think they are over-priced (not that we had too many options since it was a Sunday afternoon). I would recommend, especially for emergencies.

I don't remember many details, but they convinced me I really needed to get my sewer pipes reamed out. Maybe that was true...but it shot the charges sky-high, which really was a setback for me. Afterwards I felt like I'd been had, as they got me worried about my plumbing ever working well again and talked me into the expensive service. (Actually I'd need to check my invoice to see if this is the correct branch of RotoRooter that came to my home.)

They have done quite a bit over the years. But nothing recently. |They installed a clean out drain 10 yrs ago. Fixed leaky faucets, toilets that had kept running, unclogged drains. Good work, if there were any call backs they were handled expediently. I would use them again.

I called Roto-Rooter because I had a blocked drain from my bathtub, with water backing up. I called late on a Saturday afternoon, and they were able to send someone within a 2 hour window. The person from Roto Rooter showed up within the promised time frame. He spent 10 minutes diagnosing the problem, and another 15-20 minutes snaking out the blocked line. The person who came was professional and friendly. My issue is with the price. When I called to schedule the appointment, the dispatcher refused to give any estimate, stating that the person who came would provide the estimate. When the person arrived, he didn't provide an estimate until after I requested it. He said the price was $295, but he would offer a discount to $250. Thinking that there was a significant problem, I agreed. He worked for at most 30 minutes in total, but still charged me $250. While I would expect to pay some type of after hours charge for coming on a Saturday evening, a charge of $250 for 30 minutes work is outrageous. Because of the price, I cannot recommend them, nor will I use them again.

I have used them many times to clean out plug ups in the sewer line and they have come back during the warranty period at no charge. This last visit included a camera view of the sewer line to identify problem areas. I'm going for the relining of an old sewer line under the house.

My townhouse was built about 1975, at which time the building standards were insufficient by today's standards. Consequently, I have a very narrow drain line (1/8"), which runs under the concrete flooring from the interior atrium to the front of my home, then flows through another larger drain to the main drain of the complex. Because of the size of the drain and the improper slope of both of the pipes, any debri collelcting in the line from the exterior drain-hole or roots penetrating the line, impedes proper drainage. Prior to my having Roto-Rooter service my drain line on an annual basis each winter, the atrium would cause flooding during the stormy season. Having Roto-Rooter return each year to perform preventative maintenance, definately gives me peace of mind. I have used their service on an ongoing basis for many years and have complete confidence in their servicemen. They are always very prompt, courteous, thorough and very neat.
