The provider was too far out of my area so did not use.

The job was done efficiently and professionally. Rough wiring was completed in two days with one worker, whom was friendly, easy to work with and knew what to do. I did some of the work to speed things along and Chris was very helpful in making sure things were done right, adding hints on better ways to accomplish tasks in a nice manner so I didn't feel too much a fool. Great work ethic and knowledge. The finish work came about eight months later. Both electricians were busy on other jobs, but because our permit was coming up on deadline, they made arrangements to get our job done in time with the same professionalism as before. No problem in having them back the next time we are crazy enough to tackle such a big job.

Carl and his helper arrived on time and completed the work within 4 hours. He, in addition, with no cost, re-install a wall timer that I had installed but did not work. We are very happy with work quality.

Carl stopped by on Saturday to review the job and determine what was needed. The job was not urgent and he agreed to return the following week with the needed parts. True to his word, he returned the following Thursday afternoon and install the new outlet, switch and shims, and finished his work in 30 minutes.

Carl knows his craft very well. The quality of his work was excellent; very professional and very reasonable rates. There's no question that I'll call him again the next time I need electrical work done.

Showed up on time. He was very professional. I lost my estimate and he told me the price was $600.00. When he finished the job, he told me he made a mistake and the price was $500.00. On top of this, he gave me a Angies List member coupon discount which knocked off 10%. His work was neat with the proper labeling of the new circuit breakers. I will hire him again in the future.

Carl Keeney is great. He came to our house with another electrician. They quickly found the humming source, which was a Monster Power Surge protector. He then spent a great deal of time and effort trying to find the electrical path that led to a non-functioning pool light. I did not know where the pool light switch was, and it was apparently well-hidden because Carl spent a lot of time looking for it by putting a current/signal into the wires at the pool light and trying to trace it back to various relay boxes and switches. He ran out of time after two hours and said it would be easier to find when my pool replastering job was completed. He charged only $70 after he and his assistant spent almost two hours on the job. He is dedicated, friendly, competent, and fair. I recommend him highly.

Mr. Keeney arrived on time for our scheduled appointment. I explained what I needed done. He removed track lighting, changed dining and bathroom fixtures, and removed LED bulb so I could get a replacement. We scheduled a time he would finish the attic work. Again, he returned at the appointed time, and finished the work in the very warm attic. This is the second time I have used Keeney Electric and I think the company is exceptional because they are extremely reasonable, efficient and professional.

It went very well. Was here on time and everything was cleaned up when he left. We have used Keeney Electric for several jobs and have never been disappointed.

I called Keeney on Friday I believe asking for a weekend appointment. They answered right away and I got a 2p.m.-4p.m. time slot for Saturday. I had a ceiling fan light that was working intermittently and wanted to replace it with a normal ceiling light. I was quoted $70 on the phone. Carl arrived on time and got to work. He replaced the ceiling fan with the light fixture. The reason the previous light on the ceiling fan had been working intermittently was because of a bad switch. He replaced the switch as well. I also thought I had a bad outlet upstairs so he checked and realized my circuit breaker was tripped. After all the additional things he replaced and checked at the end the price was still $70. I really really appreciated that! I have many more larger jobs to do going forward and this will defiantly be the company I use. Carl was friendly and obviously very skilled. This company would be a great choice for any electrical job.

The owner came to our house to install a new hanging light. He quoted us a price of between $200 and $300 and ultimately charged us $250. He showed up quite a bit late, but did a decent job of installing the light. After he left, we noticed that our bathroom light next to the attic space that he entered to install the new light, didn't work. I called the owner and explained that I thought he might have accidentally done something to the wire in the attic that caused the bathroom light to not work. He said he didn't think so at first but then agreed to come out TWO WEEKS later to take a look. When he showed up, he found that a wire was loose on the switch and fixed it. He even told my wife that he may have accidentally pulled on the wire while in the attic, but he charged us $40 anyway. When I got home and found that out, I called him and asked why he charged us. He was rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't use him again.

Carl came out first to estimate the project immediately after requesting a bid. He gave us ideas on how to do certain things to keep costs down e.g. going with recessed light in bar area instead of under cabinet lights, using a small switch with dimmer. He was very helpful in helping us determine exactly where the lights should go, what type of lights to use. He and a co-worker came out and finished the project right on estimate. Work was very professional and thorough. They fixed up the walls and ceiling really well.. I cant even tell they had cut holes there.

My first contact with Mr Carl Keeney was two weeks ago. Based on his review on Angie's List, I called to ask whether he could fix the under/over voltage problem my house has. After explaining the cause can be either inside the house (my responsibility) or outside (PG&E's responsibility), he suggested to contact PG&E first. Since PG&E would test their portion for free, I wouldn't have to pay for a problem outside the house. I followed his advice. PG&E technicians came, installed a monitor, and collected some data. But I haven't heard from PG&E since. However, since my home warranty will expire soon, I really needed to find the cause. I contact Carl again on Friday (3/1). Right away he answered his phone and agreed for a visit on Saturday. He also promised to call half an hour before arriving since he had another job on the same day. On 3/2/13 Carl called at about 10:45 in the morning, and about 20 minutes later he arrived at my house with an assistant. After I demonstrated the problem to him, he got started right away. He switched some wires in the breaker box while I turned things on and off to test several theories. When the tests didn't find the cause, he inspected the main panel outside the house. When no problems were found there, he informed me the cause is outside the house and PG&E's responsibility. To help me communicate with PG&E, he explained the tests he performed and how they eliminated causes inside the house. He also showed me voltage measurements in the breaker box. In the end Carl spent about 40 minutes diagnosing my problem. And finally, I was very pleasantly surprised when he said his service would be free because he didn't fix anything. Even after I offered to pay several times, he still refused. Naturally, I am very satisfied and will call him again when I need an electrician.

Carl was prompt, professional and offered good pricing for the work conducted. Answered all of our questions in detail. We will be hiring him again for our can lights we want installed and updated. I would recommend Carl's services to family and friends.

We had lighting in the kitchen which couldn't be turned off, and other lighting which didn't go on. Carl arrived on schedule, was courteous and friendly, diagnosed the problems and replaced four switches. The price shown includes $24 for four new switches. Highly recommended!

Probably would find someone cheaper next time though the service was fine. This job wasn't complicated so was surprised at cost when bill came.

We had a last minute emergency call on the evening before Thanksgiving (we had about 30 people coming to our house the next day). It was an extremely complex problem where half of our house had very low power. Keeney Electric had it fixed quickly and at an extremely reasonable rate. Not only did they fix the problem but our electrical system is better than its been since we purchased our house. I highly recommend their services.

Had used Carl before, and waited 3 weeks for him to come to replace ceiling fan. Arrived two hours late, on a Sunday! Job required more work than his overbooked schedule allowed. He changed out a plug on an electrical appliance, and I felt so bad for him in losing this time on a Sunday I paid him generously( according to him) for that and coming. Promised to re book with me as soon as he got home. Weeks later have titled of phoning and texting ,waiting for him to respond. Specifically asked him to tell me if he didn't want job, and he assured me he did. So I have now wasted 5 weeks because I was trying to be a nice guy.

They did a great job, I was very pleased!

Carl replaced 3 ballasts in kitchen ceiling fixture with updated, more efficient ballasts and light bulbs.
