Description of Work: The man was very professional and quickly found what was needed. I don't remember what the date and the cost was but I believe it may have been around $80. He had the part already with him and we were up and running on the same day.

Description of Work: They showed up on time. Did an overpriced quote to replace my fan motor for the HVAC...$750 job. I went on Amazon and found the replacement motor for $140. I watched a uTube video on the replacement process or LABOR and did it myself. I have never done this before; I disassembled and put back together in 2 hours time total. So this company basically was charging me $610 for labor which means $305 an hour....REALLY! Dependable Heating and Air-conditioning is waaaay over priced.

Description of Work: We had the 28 year old gas furnace replaced. After several bids by various heating contractors, we decided on Dependable Heating & Air in Dixon. The sales person, John Stone, was punctual. The service technician took time to explain in detail the various aspects of installing a new system.

Description of Work: Obtained 3 bids to replace our 10-yr old A/C and heater. After researching the different A/C & heater brands and reviews on the 3 vendors we selected Dependable Heating & Air and the Carrier unit (Models 24ABB3 & 58CTA/CTX) . Their bid and recommendation for the A/C & heater was competitive and included a written expanded limited warranty of 10-yrs parts & labor, which the others did not have. From my research I learned that the key is not as much about the equipment as much as it is the quality installation. Because of that we asked alot about who would handle the installation as well as the installation process. From the begining our experience with Dependable was very professional. Don was prompt with our appt, provided a written estimate, explained the process and answered all of our questions. There was no pressure, we let him know that we would be doing our research, obtaining several bids and would get back to him. The day of installation they arrived on time, removed both units and proceed with the new installation. The heater took longer as the installer was very precise including sealing internal seams wrapping pipes, etc. After everything was installed they closed off the vents in our home and checked the pressure of the heater and A/C (CA legal requirement) to make sure there were not leaks in the air ducts (there were none). The new unit is wrapped, sealed and very quite, the installation went very well. The installers were also very knowledgeable (we asked about their background and experience) professional, friendly, and neat leaving everything just as they had found it. We had a slight issue with our new thermostat, so we had a basic on/off thermostat until they could get a new one and install it, which was a week later. At this point we are very happy with Dependable our new Carrier A/C and heater and feel that we made the best choice. Dependable will be back in a year to do annual maintenance, at no charge, if there is an issue it will be covered under the warranty.

Description of Work: They have an incredible background and they even originally installed my unit in my home. I just purchased a contract with them for annual services. They are a factory authorized Carrier heating and air condition provider and have been in business since 1968.

Description of Work: MY FURNACE WAS HAVING PROBLEMS AFTER THIS COMPANY INSTALLED MY AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. THEY CAME OUT TO CHECK ON IT. I NEEDED A NEW FURNACE, SO THEY INSTALLED IT FOR ME.
