"Where to begin? My seemingly tiny kitchen was a 1969 disaster, with no upgrades other than repeated paint jobs. There was very little storage space and totally unusable seating space. I’m so glad I found G&L Cabinets on Angi! I had several other outfits come and give me estimates but they all seemed to have their own agenda about what I needed. I went with G&L because they could do what I needed within my budget and George listened to my ideas and incorporated them as well as suggesting some needed changes. The newly installed cabinets, , crown molding, granite, and subway tile back splash is gorgeous and far exceeded my expectations. I now have twice as much storage space, a convenient countertop bar, two lazy Susans, a pantry with pull out shelves, undercounter lighting, and adjustable shelving. My kitchen seems much larger and brighter. George’s workmanship is pristine, and he had the entire kitchen done in less than a week. G&L is trustworthy, quick and fastidious and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend G&L Cabinets to anyone who wants a beautiful result at a perfect price point."

"Having hosted the HGTV program “My House is Your House”, we’ve worked with and vetted many cabinet builders across San Diego and Southern California. I cannot understate enough how much of a mistake it was to choose Mr Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr Cabinet Care. We arranged & purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps. the gaps were problematic for two reasons: 1. for the drawers / doors that closed incorrectly and 2. for being prone to collecting food debris (and unable to clean or remove that debris). When I contacted the company about this clear defect (the food /gap error), they completely dismissed my concerns, blaming “care and maintenance” instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. Even worse, they provided doctored photos in an attempt to shift the blame, falsely suggesting that residue such as gum or putty had been left on the drawers. Not only was this completely untrue—no such residue existed in any of the photos we originally provided, nor in any additional photos we took. Falsifying evidence to avoid responsibility is not just dishonest; it’s unethical and gives us even greater concern over other claims they’ve made in workmanship or materials. The operations manager even said “The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect.” These were installed weeks prior to our notice, not years later, and during a cool weather season. To claim extreme weather (like heat & humidity) in San diego is laughable and outrageous. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts clearly do not meet that standard, yet the company refused to honor its obligations. Instead of standing behind their product, they chose to manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. Beware if you work with them and have future warranty issues, youre going to likely run into similar defenses and accusations. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. If they are willing to misrepresent facts and dismiss valid concerns, I can only imagine how they handle other customer complaints. We regret this purchase for our client and would never recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship or honest customer service. We will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to other clients or customers"

"Jose arrived on time, and did a fantastic job of setting my island pieces and end panels and resetting cabinets that were not installed properly. I had to have this done so that countertops could be installed the next day. Jose is a professional who is experienced, knowledgeable and efficient. I plan to have him complete the rest of my kitchen and bath project and highly recommend his services."

"Jorge, Andy and their team at A1-Builders were knowledgeable, honest, reliable and above all always available to answer any questions we had. They helped build a 2 bed 1 bath 600sqft addition to our home during the lean months over the pandemic. We had multiple projects (pool, patio, retaining wall) going on at the same time with other contractors and the crew from A1-Builders were by far the most professional. They always made sure that they left their work site clean after each dayâ s work. Jorge will definitely be the first person I call for our next home project because I know that even if he does not have the time to do the work, he will always guide me in the right direction. "Bill and Larry did a great job on repairing my deck, they took their time and made sure to communicate with me with any issues and questions. Bill had no problem giving me a quote on repairing the deck instead of replacing the the whole thing, cost about a 1/3 to repair than to replace. Thanks Bill and Larry !!!!!!! "Overall my experience with this company was great! The work that was done was really really good! Our contractor who assisted us was Jose. We added a living space and master bedroom to our home. The additions done look as if they were part of my house this whole time. Honestly it looks way better than I expected. The only reason I rated the company a 4.5 was because there was always some kind of miscommunication between our contractor and his workers. Don t get me wrong, things were always resolved, Jose was great at that. But my recommendation to is to make sure communication is #1. That way the customer is not confused or left wondering what will happen next. There was an issue with his floor guy though, he was rude and unprofessional. BUT the reason I am mentioning this is not to put down the company but let you know that we expressed concern for this issue and it was resolved professionally by Jose and it never became an issue again. The quality of work was top notch! His workers were all pretty cool guys and we always felt comfortable of who was coming into our home to do the work. I highly recommend this company for your next big project😊👍🏼"
