Description of Work: Repaired gas furnace: replaced transformer blown by power surge; changed filter. They were very busy but fit me in. All contacts and personnel very professional and courteous. (Furnace installation originally by Blake also and they accommodated the quirky construction and layout of 100yr old house.)

Description of Work: I had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. They came out at a convenient time for me to get the info they needed to give me an estimate. He was friendly and answered all of my questions. I received in the mail bids for two different units. I liked this no pressure response; it gave me time to research the two options and decide what would be best for me. |I had a question or two while I was deciding. The woman I talked to was also friendly and helpful. |The guys showed up on time and were able to install everything in just a few hours. |Some months later I came home from work and found I had no heat. A workman came out and found the problem. He did not have the part to fix it, but called and found someone who did. He was really great in letting me know what was happening every step of the way. When the other guy showed up, they worked on it together. (Turns out it was a defective part--something they had never seen with this part before.) Since Blake's has a service warranty, I did not have to pay for this service call, which is always nice. That was about 7 months ago, and I have not had a problem since.

Description of Work: They installed two ductless AC systems in our new home. Then, when a neighbor complained about the location of an exterior unit, they came back immediately and moved it at no charge. They were responsive and TERRIFIC! I had hired them at rhe suggestion of our realtor, and I'm so glad I did!

Description of Work: Blakes replaced the 45 year old HVAC system ( furnace and AC) in our 1400 sq ft Davis house. The installation was done in five hours by two technicians, Ron and Rocky. They installed and tested the new system, explained its operation to us, and gave us information about maintaining the system. The work went very well. They hauled away the old system and left our house cleaner than they found it, with a minimum of disruption while they worked. The original consultation with Mark Blake was also very well done. He followed up promptly with a written bid for two different systems. W chose the more expensive option. The job was completed as bid, and we are very pleased with the new furnace. I would happily recommend Blakes and I'm sure we will use them again if ever we need service.

Our old heater/air conditioner broke down during the heat storm of 2006. We called Blake's, and they made every effort to obtain and install a new unit as quickly as possible. The work was performed while we were out-of-town. The crew left the work site clean, and the new unit worked very well. Several months later, during the first rain of the season, we noticed that the roof was leaking. We called Blake's who came out immediately to see if the leak was caused by the replacement of the heater/ac unit. They could not find any evidence but asked that we call them back if the problem persisted. With the next rain, the roof leaked again. Blake's came back again and this time found a small nail hole which they sealed. There were no further leaks, and the heater/air conditioner continues to work well. We were very impressed with the company's excellent customer service and the prompt and courteous service we received from the crew.
