"I hired Fence Doctor to repair a few sections of my fence that was damaged during the winter storm. Got a few estimate, one was 30% lower than Fence Dr, but ultimately decided to go with Herb since he seems to know fences really well, and was able to explain things. Pros: - He and his crew are excellent at doing their work, fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves - Really like the newly installed fence sections Cons: - He pushed out the installation date 3 times due to various reasons, and told me the day before he needed to change the date - His initial quotes didn't match what he told me verbally, resulting in delays to begin the work. Tom's estimate was in the middle of the other estimates I received, but it wasn't about the price at all. Tom was the only one out of all the representatives who actually explained and recommended accessories and devices I might need or want. He explained the differences between one brand and another and gave me his personal opinion and preferences as a homeowner and an installer. After we were done with accessories, we started talking about the main part, the gate. My gate design involves wood and steel together, and here again Tom amazed me with so much knowledge about wood types and the differences between paint and stain. He again recommended what to do for each option. Fast forward, the installation was completed a couple of days ago, and wow, the results are amazing and exactly what I was expecting.
