I have a rental property. Tenant complained about electronic valve not shutting off and water leaking from out of sprinkler heads. I went over to take a look, I thought it may have just been sprinkler heads, or the wire coming loose but it wasn't. Something well beyond my limited handyman skills. I called Dan. He was already on a big job and could not get away. I told him I have 48 hours to respond to the tenant. He said he understood so after his full day at his other appt, he came over not just to take a look, but to do the repairs. His vehicle is stocked with everything he needs. Fully prepared, and a couple hours later, it was done. There was nothing major, but multiple problems causing one big problem. He, took photos along the way to document the process. E-mailed them to me along with the bill. Definitely will hire again. Dub him the Fedex of sprinklers. He had it done within 48 hours. Reason I gave him the B on price because it was a little steep. $30 for the parts (perfectly fine), but $170 for the labor (ouch) I really had no choice. He had high reviews on Angies List and I had to get this one right the first time.

Emailed Dan through the Angie's list website in the morning. By the afternoon, Dan had called back and arranged to meet a few hours later. Upon review of the system, immediately agreed on a price and started work on the valve replacement. Dan was honest and professional in recommending options that were less expensive to the replacement of the spigot and left it to me to decide which way to pursue without any pressure to select one over the other. After considering it for a little bit, I had Dan take care of the spigot which needed to be un-soldered. Dan also removed two stumps in the yard. Dan took care to clean up the lawn and the surrounding area. Dan is very knowledgeable and prompt. Did what he said he would do and took the time and the effort to do it correctly the first time. Would definitely use Dan again and happy to recommend.

Dan was very efficient and competent in doing the repair.

Everything went as planned and the end result was better than expected. He even treated the flower bed soil before adding mulch.

Overall Dan was very professional and we will definetly be using him again.

I spent $1175 on the job. They came with good recommendations. I would recommend them because they did a good job. I will use them again in the future.

Dan was very professional and responsive when I called him. He came to my home to give me an estimate on the work that I needed done within two days of my phone call to him. He fixed my existing sprinkler system, removed two trees from my front lawn and purchased and planted a beautiful new tree. He was very neat with the removal of the trees and clean up. I will definitely call Dan again for anything I might need and would recommend his services to anyone needing any kind of landscaping work.

We had Dan to work on our irrigation system (please see separate report on the fantastic job he did) and also asked hime to perform a tree removal and landscaping. He did a fantastic job and made sure that the front yard was clean before he left. He surprised us by planting a few plants and flowers that looked great. What really impressed me was he fixed a leaking garden faucet that had been a problem for me for quite some time and he did that outside of the job scope with no additional charge! We would defintely recommend Dan and use him again in the future.

I called Dan in the morning and he called me later that day and we made arrangements to have him come out that evening. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge of irrigation, lawns and general landscaping. He spent over an hour looking at our system and offered expert opinion on what he would do if he was the home owner. His pricing was in line to what the other 4 contractors has quoted but I could tell that Dan would do the best job by the pride he took in his work and company. We went with Dan and we couldn't be happier. He finished the job in the time stated and the quality of his work was evident. He found hidden leaks and broken pipes and made sure that all was working in the system. He replaced all six valves and installed a state of the art RainBird timer. His attenion to detail was evident in all he did and in bigger jobs, it's the litte things that matter. He offered expert advise on lawn care and ways for us to bring back a dying lawn on our own. He made sure I understood how to operate the timer and left instructions next to it for our future reference. He was very professional, courteous and we would not hesitate to hire him again... in fact we did just that and hired him to clear some trees, roots and removal of plants. That review is under a separate report. One of the main reasons we called Dan was because of his excellent feedback and report here on Angie's List, I am glad we did and would recommend him.

Very pleased with his service. He completed the work in about 2.5 hours. Price was very fair for the service. Will definitely use Dan for any irrigation system problems in the future.

I called Dan and we discussed in length what I needed him to do and how he would go about the job. My backyard sprinkler system had been buried by 1) Contractors placing a new fence on the sprinklers 2) Grass and dirt growing over them. He also replaced the heads on my front yard as well. It took him HOURS to locate my sprinkler heads and dig them up-He worked two days and did an excellent job!!! He called me the 1st night and explained everything he had done and the next day-he walked me through the job he did and explained in detail how to work my timer and even printed instructions and put them up in my garage. He's a hard worker and I'm glad to say my sprinkler system works like a charm and I am sooo happy!!

I was really impressed for a bunch of reasons. First, he gave me a lot of really good ideas and recommendations for planting. He did NOT up-sell me, I ended up just adding stuff as time went on. Second, he came back when he said he would, he worked really hard, and cleaned up after he was done. Third, he charged me exactly what he said he would. Fourth, he came across as very knowledgeable (I'm sure if i were a better gardener, I could have really tapped in to his knowledge more) and was extremely hardworking. He has a great attitude and was easy-going.

I called Dan on the afternoon of March 16th and received a return call that evening. We went over what we wanted to have done (repair and possibly resposition a sprinkler head and install a new sprinkler timer in our front lawn). We went over what parts I had already purchased vs. what he would possibly need to supply. He offered a time range when he would arrive the next morning. He arrived when expected and ready to work. We discussed options re: the broken sprinkler head (I kept running over it with the car) and decided that repositioning would be the best solution. When that was done, he tested all of the sprinklers, cleaned heads and replaced some. He installed and set our new timer and then went over its operation with us. And finally, Dan offered suggestions for maintaining our sprinkler system and how to keep from losing in ground equipment in the thick grass again. Dan spent about 2 1/2 hours working on our system. Dan was obviously well experienced and thorough.

Very well. This was not a simple job. We have mature trees, the roots of which create havoc with our irrigation and lighting capabilities. Dan is a good communicator and he lets the client know exactly where he is in terms of when he will arrive, how long he might take, and what his hourly rate is. He sees the job through from start to finish. He is punctual and not flakey.

We had made arrangements for Dan to call me, since I work about 12 minutes from my home, when he was on his way to our house so I could meet him there. I appreciated this very much since it meant I didn't have to wait at home for a block of time. I showed Dan the sprinkler system that hadn't been working for quite some time. He tested it and showed me how to work it manually. He then checked all the sprinklers in the back yard and front yard and dug up the ones that had been overgrown by the grass and adjusted the sprinkler heads that were out of wack. This was Friday afternoon. He gave me an estimate for the repair work ( a broken sprinkler head) replacing wires, valves, a new timer box and adding three new sprinklers to one of the lines to extend to the side of my house. I also asked him some landscaping questions and about his tree trimming service. He answered all my questions happily and thoroughly. He came back Monday morning, got to work and was done in a matter of hours. He explained everything he'd done and went over how to use the much nicer and much improved new timer box with me. I appreciated his honesty, his attention to detail, his hard work and his good humor. We're having him come back to trim some palm trees and another huge tree we have and he's going to plant a new shade tree for us.

I explained the situation to Dan over the phone and he was out an hour later to work on it. What I appreciated most was that he didn't just 'make it work'. He took the time to understand the entire system so he was fixing the correct thing. He explained every thing he did to me. I am a new home owner so I didn't have a lot of my own knowledge to go on; so trust was a big factor. It took 3 hours for him to replace 3 valves, fix a wiring problem, and stop the pooling in the yard. I would recommend him to anyone because I feel he was honest and knew what he was talking about. The price was fair and when the problem started to take longer to fix than I had expected he did a great job of reassuring me that the fixes he was doing were necessary. He had to come back the next day so he wouldn't take payment until the job was done. Thanks Dan!

He was very knowledgable in terms of the equipment and definitley has a lot of experience doing this type of job. If needed, I will absolutley hire him again.

It was not an emergency. He gave me free advice over the phone and was very helpful and a nice person.

He works hard, and it was a hot day. Six hours in intense sunshine and heat. It went well. However, I didn't realize that it would take as long as it did, as he couldn't furnish an estimate until he evaluated each sprinkler.

No problems. He arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very professional. We would gladly use him again.

It went very well. He was pleasant to work with, went immediately to work, finished quickly, and cleaned up and left everything neat and tidy.

I called Dan and asked him to come by and do an estimate on the job in early December of last year. I chose him based on his reputation on Angie's List. He came by and spent about 40 minutes going over the front and backyard plotting sprinkler positions and suggesting to me the best way to install the system. The biggest problem with this job was the concrete slabs between the water supply in the front and back yard and the lawn. Dan offered good alternatives to cutting the slabs (he'll just bore underneath it. Based on Dan's good suggestions and excellent pricing compared to the other bids I got, I asked him to do the job. The only down side was he was booked until the end of January, but since I wasn't in a big hurry, I told him I was willing to wait. He wasn't able to give me an exact date since his work might get delayed due to weather, so we stayed in touch through January and he started the work on January 28. Dan does all the work by himself, and he knows what he's doing. The installation was done in a timely and professional manner, and I am most impressed by how he piped the water from the supply pipes to the front and backyard with a minimum amount of concrete cutting/breaking. The original estimate was $2200, and he charged me an additional $100 for some services that wasn't anticipated when we did the original estimate. Based on everything he did and unexpected problems he encountered (underground rocks, etc), I thought it was fair and I still got very good value for my money. Overall, I am very pleased with Dan's quality of work and professionalism. He knows lawn sprinklers systems well and I highly recommend his services.

Dan responded to my inquiry with in 15 minutes. He was at my house for an estimate within 2 days and an approximate date was set for the work to be completed. Dan arrived to do the work on the date agreed upon, and completed the job in one day. I was very satisfied with all aspects of the work Dan did. If I need any work done in the future that Dan is able to do, I would definitely use him again.

It was not particularly positive experience. We were outside of his service area but he said he could come anyway. He came and couldn't do some of the work and wasn't happy with the fact that we were outside his service area. In all fairness his listings say that he does not prefer to work outside the area but he told me it was fine.
