Great service from Dan. He was responsive and worked with my schedule. I sent a couple pics to Dan so he could see what my concern was and he provided an estimate. His estimate was within 10%, and did more work than what I asked. Very fair!

Dan is a real pro. He was incredibly responsive and able to schedule the work the same day we talked. Not only did he do a great job fixing my sprinkler heads, but was very helpful and passed along a wealth of information about everything from doing some of the repairs myself to improving system performance to choosing the right components. I would highly recommend him and will use him again if I have something that is beyond my scope.

I called Dan in a panic because my house is in escrow and a sprinkler blew up the weekend I was trying to move out. He was busy but understood my urgency and came over within 35-40 mins. It was late on a Friday afternoon to boot. I'd say that's phenominal responsiveness since the other company I called quoted me two weeks eta. The problem was a 10 minute fix, but Dan took the time to look at all of my irrigation and offered some good advice. I would HIGHLY recommend him and would definitely use him in the future...

Dan was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Dan also does all his own work. He showed up at the scheduled time and walked around the property inspecting all sprinklers and values. I had asked for an estimate on redoing the sprinkler system in the back yard. Dan suggested that he replace the sprinkler heads to ones that cover more ground instead of doing an expensive job. I'm very happy the way all the sprinklers cover the front and back lawn and in my flower bed. I would definitely call Dan Landscape and Tree Service for all my landscaping and repairs. Great guy and very happy with the work he did for us.

We checked Angie's List for several lawn service providers and chose Dan's Landscaping & Tree Service. He arrived on time and after determining what our problem was (sprinklers came on as programmed but then didn't go off again). He thoroughly checked our whole sprinkler service and determined that the problem was with the timer. He went right to work replacing the unit, checked to make sure it worked properly and finished by again checking the whole sprinkler setup to be sure everything was working properly. He explained how the unit worked, told us about the warranty and assured that if we had any further problems he would be happy to take care of them. We would definitely call Dan again if needed.

Dan did an excellent job in planning and installing an irrigation system for us in July 2013. We started with the front lawn. Dan replaced the wrought iron sprinkler heads with heads that rose to cover the lawn area. He also removed and replaced the timing system which others could not fix or replace. He then gave us a bid on the back yard that we found to be competitive. The bid was reasonable so Dan designed the water coverage to cover the side and back yard. His plan was great so we now have full coverage. Now we plan to plant the new water area with proper plants. We are very pleased with Dan's planning and implementation as well as his documentation of our system. He cleaned the entire work area, and is pleasant to work with. Dan does his own work so he is in control at all times ; not as the last Contractor we had who sublet most work which resulted in a poor product. Doing your own work really gives Dan an edge. We rate him the best.

He came the same day I called . I called for an estamite he explained he was by the hour with parts and labor. I told him the problems i had over the phone and he said it would be about $150. He did very profesional work check every sprinkler head and conection. He explained all the work he was going to do and what my exact problem was with my sprikler box conections. The work came to $185 and it was worth it . At the end of the job he set my programed my sprinkler box and left a ledger for my sprinler stations.

I needed Dan to do some sprinkler repair. He informed me that for repairs, he charges by the hour (since he doesn't always know how bad things are until he gets into it). Once he arrived, he estimated it would take 2 hours and quoted me for the time and parts. It took him only slightly longer than he anticipated and was very close to the quote price. Very happy with the work.

Dan did an excellent job. He explained to me what he was doing to fix the leak areas as he was making the repairs. He also replaced all of the sprinkler heads, at our request, since most of them are old (like from the 1970's). He completed the job and went above and beyond to also make sure the timer was working properly and programmed appropriately and everything was working before he left. There was a leak that was difficult to determine what the cause was so he explained what the potential causes were as well as the corrections but it would take several hours of observation to determine the actual cause. He was kind enough to explain to me that I could correct it myself and how to do it to save some money. What a great guy. I highly recommend him.

I couldn't be more pleased with Dan?s efficient, professional, customer friendly service. He will definitely be my "sprinkler guy" and I will recommend him to my friends and neighbors. Since he also does landscaping, I'm sure I'll be calling on him for that too, in the near future.

Couldn't be more pleased with the efficient, customer friendly, service. Coincidence: Provider has same last name and pronounces it the same as myself. So I questioned him as to his family background. If there is any connection between our families it can only be prior to 1800AD. So we are not related.

I was very pleased that Dan took time to explain what he was doing and to answer any questions I had. I am curious about landscaping and horticulture, and curious to know how the sprinkler system worked, and he didn't withhold information - he told me how I could fix things myself, what tools to use, what to do after he's gone, and what he could do if he comes back. Dan ended up spending a couple of hours here, and about half way through I thought I should ask how much he charged (once I realized he was actually fixing things and not just there to give me an estimate). I felt like his $75/hour was a fair price, and I was pleasantly surprised that he could get things up and running in one short visit. Dan also seems knowledgeable about the trees and plants in our yard and I appreciate his insight. Unfortunately, we discovered that one sprinkler was leaking under the concrete, so it sounds like I'll be calling Dan again once our concrete is pulled up.

I was looking for some yard work to be done on very short notice when I found out that we were expecting out-of-town guests in just three weeks. We needed immediate repairs on our front and back sprinkler systems and some re-seeding of the lawn where parts of it had dried out. Dan called me back within a couple hours of the time I first left him a message. He was at our house the very next morning to get started. All of the above was completed within two days of the time I first spoke with Dan over the phone! Dan is honest, efficient, and cleaned up so well afterwards that it was practically impossible to tell that large sections of the lawn had been dug up hours earlier. He goes the extra mile to make sure that parts and connections are of the highest quality so the job is done right the first time.

.I called Dan based on reviews on Angie's List, and because he was the closest geographically to my house. I left a message and he returned my call the same evening, and told me he could come either Monday or Tuesday. He came this morning (Monday) and repaired two broken sprinkler heads and checked my entire system. I was at a meeting, but my daughter was here and told me he was thorough, pleasant and professional, and that he spent quite a bit of time making sure all of the sprinklers were working well in the front as well as the back yard. He called again this evening to tell me that he had reset my timer to save water, had trimmed grass around the sprinkler heads to make sure they were watering efficiently, and gave me additional advice. I appreciate Dan's honesty and professionalism. His fee was very fair considering everything he did. He will definitely be my "sprinkler guy" and I would recommend him to my friends. Since he also does landscaping, I'm sure I'll be calling on him for that, too.

I sent Dan an email, but didnt hear anything in two days so I called and left him a message. He called me back that same night. He had been off work for two months after having surgery on his foot. Dan responded quickly to my call since I had turned off the water at the house. One of my sprinkler valves would not shut off. He came when he said he would and knew exactly what to do. He came with all his own supplies and worked quickly and efficiently. I appreciated his knowledge of sprinkler systems,and plant and grass watering needs. He isn't just a gardner who does irrigation on the side, he is a specialist in irrigation and tree trimming and removal. I would recommend Dan to any of my friends. He is honest and hard working.

I bought a home recently and the backyard was a jungle. Dan removed all the plants and a lot of other junk including a chain link fence that housed a dog run and an old huge dog house that had been there for years. He also graded the yard. installed sprinklers and seeded it. Two days later we had a huge rain storm that washed away a lot of the seed. I called him and he came back out to appraise the damage and reseeded the areas that were affected for free. He was professional, had a great sense of humor, and I now have a nice yard. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

i called, lft voice mail. he called me back that night. came out early next day, came back and cut the tree. i gave him a check. he drove away. i stood and admired his work and went in the house.

We found Dan from Angie's list and originally wanted to have him reroute some sprinklers around a tree that was getting too big. I was afraid the roots would cause a problem. Dan suggested that it would be more cost effective if we remove the tree all together. He then suggested we thin out or remove some additional trees, which we agreed to. We have several trees in our yard which have never been trimmed before in our 9 years of living here. After he removed our problem tree, and removed and thinned out other trees and bushes, our yard did look better. It was a big job and took 3 days. (He also noticed that a hose bib was leaking and fixed that for us as well.) Dan is very professional and knowledgeable, and I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone who needs tree services and/or landscaping.

I contacted Dan via eail through Angie's list. Dan called me and made an appoinment for the sprinker problem and tree removal. Sprinkler low pressure problem. Dan went to the valve controlling the front sprinklers and activated the front sprinklers. From there it worked just fine. When we turned it on from the sprinkler timer box, there was low pressure. Dan diagnosed it as the valve system that has the wires to the box connected to it. He replaced it in less than 30 minutes and it started working fine. Dan explained the issues with the valve in detail I could understand. It's clear he enjoys his work. Removal of 5 trees I asked Dan to remove 4 China Doll and 1 Yucca plant that I planted many years ago and have since grown over 20 feet in height. The trees had become much too tall for me to maintain and they were situated in an area that didn't cause them to offer much shade. Dan came out on another day with the heavy equipment to remove the tree. He took about 5 hours to remove the trees. He removed them down to the ground and ground the stumps down as well. I also had a couple of aloe plants that I wished saved that were so hard into the ground I could not take them out with my trusty shovel. Dan was able to save both of them for me and I replanted them. Something that I think is also important is, after the tree removal, Dan did a great job of cleaning up the 2 areas involved. Sprinkler head replacement When Dan had come out for the low pressure problem, after he fixed the problem, I asked him if he could replace sprinkler heads which had been there since the very beginning and showed cracking and leakage. He replaced them with some adjustable Rainbird heads and adjusted them to match the pattern of the yard. He also showed me how he would use extra pieces of PVC to make the heads spray more evenly. Overall Experience It is clear that Dan is very skilled and he is also very nice to work with. The worked he performed was first rate. I had a palm that was a little smaller than the Yucca removed about 6 or 8 years ago and I had 2 bids of $350 and $450, so the 5 tree removal price was definitely good. I would recommend Dan to my friends and will use his services in the future.
