Triangle Construction

I received a cold call from Triangle just as I was about to get bids on a block wall and some other related work. They came a day later than they said. The person who came was very young and full of hustling self-confidence. My sense was that he was a salesman and knew very little about the nuts and bolts of construction. He did not give me any estimates and was quite insistent that my wife and I sit down with him right now so he could sell us their services. His manner was blustery and rude e.g., when my wife answered the door, he immediately stepped into the front hall without being asked. He tried the same thing with me later, until I blocked his path so he couldn't advance. He has a certain amount of callow charm, but he set off all of my distrust alarms. He showed me some materials about the company but said I couldn't have them because they only gave them to people who signed contracts with Triangle. (Is that good business? I don't think so. Saving on paper costs? Don't want us to know about Triangle? Very odd). In the end, he left me the materials after I told him there was no chance we'd go any further if he didn't leave me (a) the materials and (b) a written bid. He promised to send me a bid by e-mail. He did not. He did call to ask if I got the bid. I told him no, and I never heard from them again.

Within a week from our call, the company was out to work on our bathroom. There were five specialists on the team. They did a very good job in a timely manner. They were also very good at cleaning up. The thing I liked most about them is they were honest about the price up front and they guaranteed their work.

Horrible! Bad communication! Did not return numerous calls about major issues including water leaking from pipes they just installed. Misogynistic and disrespectful. Delays due to not having materials when reporting in the AM and some days would not show up at all. Specifically requested a slipper tub, they agreed, putting it on the signed contract. In middle of job, refused, claiming they would supply slide-in bath/shower unit, leaving us to pay for the tub despite agreed upon contact saying everything included. Forced to buy many items at last minute despite contact. Did not seal entries or cover furniture when sanding, despite repeated asking/protest. Home was extraordinarily filthy, had to pay for cleaners multiple times just to function. It is done, but it doesn't look professional or as promised. Painting was not done or was sloppy, they never cleaned after themselves, put a sink in my husband bath with a seashell shaped basin, without asking. Wish I could give a negative.
