The technician was very knowledgeable about the job that needed to be done, basically wiring a new circuit board for our GE oven, everything went smoothly and quickly. When i originally called up for service, i had not purchased the part, however SPENCER would have had to take 2 trips out to identify the issue and then bring back the part and we would have been without our oven for nearly 4 weeks, Ordering the part online ( $200 from appliancepartpros.com) i got the piece in 2 days and our oven was fixed in less than a week total time down.... I'm thankful for Google and SPENCER SERVICE :)

After our last self cleaning cycle, the top oven had stopped heating and the chassis cooling fan would not shut off. The fault codes indicated that there could be multiple (expensive) problems. Thankfully, it turned out to be the thermostat. According to my wife, the tech arrived on time, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He had the part with him and was able to fix the problem right away. He even taught my wife how to use the oven probe to cook a roast. Very satisfied. They are a bit pricey, $70 diagnosis fee plus $60/hr, plus parts. Like so many things you get what you pay for.

My Whirlpool Duet Dryer died within 2.5 years of minor use. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again based on this experience. In any case, I attempted to repair the dryer myself, then relented and had a handyman check it out. The handyman was unable to fix it so I had to go to an authorized service center. I made an appointment and was told that the cost would be $69.95 plus the cost of parts. The appointment came and the technician was friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the dryer. The diagnosis took about 45 minutes and the repair took about 15 minutes. I was presented with the bill and their was an additional labor charge of $60. I asked why it was there and the technician explained that it was normal and I should have been told about it beforehand. I paid the cost, but later called the office to complain about not being told in advance about the additional charge. I wish I had the extended warranty as this repair would have paid the cost of the warranty.

Here's the deal: you have an old Sub-Zero? Fix it: don't buy a new one! The old ones are better made. The noise had been driving my husband crazy for about a year. I also wanted to ensure that coil, compressor, etc. were all working OK. Guy showed up on time, immediately noticed that the defroster was not working, and that the ice-maker was broken (black plastic coming off), helped unload the freezer, fixed everything, and cleaned everything before putting back shelves etc.! Defroster was a bad connector and fixed that. Said that the noise was the fan but we could last a few more months, but I said, no, let's just fix it, so it's on order!

After having a bad experience with another company, they were able to come out and finally fix the problem. They came out three or four different times, standing behind their work each time. They didn't charge for the extra times, and tried every possible solution. We ended up having to buy an appliance from them, and were all very happy with them. Cost does not include purchase of our new oven.

Technician was knowledgeable and worked efficiently to fix the dryer. He thoroughly cleaned inside the dryer with a vacuum and also cleaned the lint basin as I requested. The total cost for parts & labor and travel was very reasonable.

ON TIME, REASONABLE PRICES, QUALITY WORK.

THE SERVICE MAN CAME ON THE DAY STATED. HE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM BUT DID NOT HAVE THE PART. HE CHECKED TO SEE IF PART WAS IN STOCK BUT IT HAD TO BE ORDERED. HE KEPT ME INFORMED OF THE PART ORDERED AND RETURNED AT THE AGREED TIME TO REPLACE THE TIMER. HE ALWAYS PUT EVERYTHING BACK IN PLACE TO KEEP THE AREA TIDY, EVEN WHILE WAITING FOR THE PART.
