They were fine, and helpful.. Their pricing was good, and they seemed to know what they were doing. They were on time, and they seemed to want to do a good job, and get it done right, the first time! I would absolutely use them again.

I highly recommended spenew service buy come out of my house. He was friendly and professional. He gave me tip show to heap my kenkar in good repair.

Fortunately nothing was needed for repair.have used speech service many years ago and was always pleased with their work.

He was right on time and could tell us what was wrong quickly. He had to order a part but was still very timely. He was very clean and very neat.

They were prompt and showed up when they said they would. He knew what he was doing and went right to it and fixed what needed to be fixed. He didn't try to up sell anything such as "for a few dollars more we can do this or that!"

He came out, only spent about 10 minutes looking at it. He didn't seem to try very hard to fix the issue.

The guy came out to check out our refrigerator. Although he could have told us to replace the motherboard, charging us at least $300, he was honest. He told us that it wasn't worth it in the long run to fix it and told us to get a new one. I appreciate his honesty and would use this company again.

I have been very satisfied with my experiences with Spencer Service. The company repaired my dryer. We have been using them for years. They are trustworthy. We bought our original washer and dryer from them. They are reasonable. They take care of the issue without trying to do more. I will continue to use them.

I called Spencer Service based on reviews on Angie's List and proximity to my location. I wasn't in a big rush as I've been putting up with the temperature problem and lack of leveling for some time so I told Guy it wasn't an emergency and to come when he had time. We set up an appointment for the following day. Guy arrived promptly and was very thorough and patient during the service call - he had to wait while I ran around saying "eww, eww", grabbing cleaning supplies to clean the sides of the range when he pulled the range out from between the cabinets. He was very careful to make sure the floor wasn't scratched or otherwise damaged by pulling the range in and out. He calibrated the range and leveled it for me (also retrieved my favorite spoon to use in pans from where it was behind the range where I couldn't reach it). He could have told me that the thermostat and controller were bad and needed to be replaced and I wouldn't have known any better and it would have cost a lot more for parts and labor. I appreciate the honesty and am pleased with how the range is now working. Should I need any other large appliance repaired, I will most assuredly have Spencer Service take care of it.

Excellent, knowledgeable, professional, efficient. I will use Spencer again and preferentially for my appliance repairs. I am SO SORRY that Subzero does use them as a factory authorized provider of warranty work.

The entire process from calling for service through the scheduled visit was very professional.

Called for repair to my washing machine. They were able to send someone within 3 hours. The serviceman was professional and did the repair quickly. The problem is price. I saw another review that complained about the company nmot offering free estimates. I have no problem, with a charge for a service call as gas, time, etc. is costly. However, I had the job done and thought that the cost of the service call ($69.95) would be deducted from the total cost ($60.00 labor to change an $18.95 hose) as is the custom with most other companies, but it was not. Further, the serviceman spent about two minutes looking at my refrigerator, basically told me that it could not be repaired, and charged me another $20.00!

I was pleased with the technician, who was very professional, prompt, and helpful. Everything went as hoped. I rated the price as "Fair," because there was a $69.95 service diagnosis charge. I don't know if this is good or bad, so I rated it Fair. Only charged $20.00 for the labor beyond the mandatory charge.

They did a good job and were very quick. They have done some lighting work for me and fixed the glass door of the oven. They did a good job and I will continsue to use their services in future.

Greg was knowledgeable and efficient, diagnosed the problem (a shorted wire), made the repair and added insulation to prevent it from happening again.

They are honest and competent. They might be a little more pricey, but I really liked the quality of their work.

The overall experience with Spencer Service was great. I called for an appointment and got one within a few days. They gave me an arrival time of noon-4 p.m. and arrived a little after 1 p.m. He fixed the oven very quickly. It needed a new ignitor mechanism, which he had in his truck. That repair was completed in 15 minutes or less. The dishwasher was older and needed new door hinges (which were sprung) and a new door seal. The repairman said he needed to go back to the shop to check on parts prices, but that he thought it would be about $300 to repair. He called back the next day and confirmed that the parts prices were what he estimated. Because I could buy a new dishwasher for about $450, I opted not to have the repairs made. Spencers also sells appliances, and if you buy from them, they will refund a portion of the service call charge from your purchase. They charge $69.95 for the first appliance, and an additional $29.95 for the second appliance. They were very up front about this on the phone, so I didn't have a problem with it. I haven't purchased the new dishwasher yet, but will get a price from them before deciding.

I recently bought a house that had a gas cooktop on an island with a downdraft vent. The previous owner had informed me that they had broken the unit. The manufacturer (Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid) refered me to these folks. I called and made an appointment for "12pm-4pm" for the following week. On the day of the appointment, I called to confirm and the person on the phone actually called the repairman (Greg) to see where he was and to give a more precise estimate of when he would come by. When he came, he could not find anything immediately wrong but took the time to take the unit apart, check all the switches and power to the unit. Turns out that one of the filters was probably bent out of shape and jamming the pop-up mechanism + years of misuse, abuse, and perhaps non-use had parts out of place and out of alignment. After putting everything back together, we were left with an "extra" part which we could not figure out where it came from... but the unit started working again. Overall, Greg was very professional, took his time, explained what he was doing and, although I suspect he could have given up at some point he kept poking until it was fixed... and I don't have to buy a new unit.

I asked the repair guy which company had the best washers based upon the least amount of service calls. He suggested that I look at the Speed Queen, which he thought was the best, but he also mentioned the Worldpool Duet as a less expensive option. He said that his company would provide 50% if the service call fee back to us if we bought the Machine from their sister company, Pasadena Kitchens. We did decide to buy a new machine and ordered from Sara at P K, she was very knowledgeable and gave us detailed information on the various machines and models. We ordered the Speed Queen front load model from her. The machine arrived today 8-25-10 as they said it would. The installers were excellent and were very good about explaining how the machine worked. I would definitely use Spencer's if I needed appliance service in the future.

The technician was prompt, professional, called when on the way so I could leave work to meet him at the house. He even waited for about 10 minutes for me to arrive. He promptly diagnosed the problem as worn suuports for the tub. He stated he could try to get the parts, which would be $200-300 and that it would probably entail several hours of labor$200-300. The repair would be a major one probably not worth it in a 17 year old machine. The service call was $69.95. Half of this fee will be credited toward the purchase of a new washer from them. Bad news but the technician was knowledgeable, professional as was the whole experience. Will use them again.

Two weeks later I called to see what was holding up the repairs. They said one part came in and the other was expected that day. Made an appointment for them to come out the next week. They were to arrive between noon and 4p.m. --they never showed up. I called a 4:00 and was told he was help up on another job across town. We waited all the rest of the night. I called the next morning and was told that he stopped by but no one was home. I told her to find out why there service man would create such a lie. He had been to our house before so it wasn't that he couldn't find it. He was just didn't want to come by after he finished his other job.

Excellent. He knew immediately what the problem was and fixed it.

They were not very nice on the phone. They do not do free estimates. I did not use them

They were short and quick in regards to the problem. They were a little on the high side with the price. I did not mind the price, because the man really knew what he was doing and he got the work done.

We have a very old stove from the 50s. The pilots kept going out and the house smelled of gas. Spencer's technician came out and within 30 minutes everything worked well. Well enough, I should say - the stove is still very very old. Still, we were given the number of a store in Southern California that may still have replacement parts. And when the time comes, we understand they do restoration! Great job!
