The project went smoothly, and I was very happy with the completed job as well as Marc's follow up and professionalism. Everything was done in a timely manner, and Marc and followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was working. He also spent time with me, making sure I understood how to operate the new system. This was very important to me, as I had not had that responsibility before.

Marc team showed up and performed work as agreed.

I paid for 8 hours and they left after 7. I would have used them another hour to work around the yard.

We wanted a drought-tolerant, water-efficient, modern landscape, and provided Marc with a set of rough conceptual drawings that a landscape designer produced for us. The project included a full demolition of our front, side, and rear yards, hardscaping, carpentry, plant installation, and lighting. Marc worked with us to determine the best specs and design elements to achieve our conservation goals and aesthetic. (In fact, if we were to do this all over again, we would skip the landscape designer and go straight to Marc for the overall design and specifications.) Marc was not the first contractor we met with, nor was his proposal the lowest bid, but we had the utmost confidence in him every step of the way, and the experience was worth every penny. When we first contacted him, we were already behind schedule, but he was very responsive, provided a quote within a week, and completed the work on time. He was onsite every day of the project, and was quick to respond to our questions and requests. We also had a great experience with his entire team of subcontractors and crew. We had complete trust in everyone that had a hand in the project. In addition, Marc is highly knowledgeable about sustainable landscaping and a Certified Water Manager, and offered expert advice and recommendations. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and recommend him wholeheartedly without any reservation.

Overall, our experience with Marc Mason Landscaping Services was perfect. Don't have any don'ts.

Met with Marc to discuss our vision and look at the space; he provided us a detailed proposal within a day. Once we agreed to proposal, he produced plans within 3 days. Marc was ready to start right when the plans were approved. They showed up on time the first day and everyday and finished the work within about 2 weeks time.

Although we didn't manage to work together yet Mark has been diligent, responsive and professional at the planning stage. Recommended.

This started out with a comprehensive review of the existing plans and a walk-through of the property to evaluate the details in the plans provided. Suggestions based on perceived errors were implemented and details of not only the softscape but remaining hardscape details were confirmed as to quality and location (omitted from the plans) and a "marked-up" duplicate copy of the plans was created to provide to the crew so that they could proceed without delays. This simple step saved endless, unnecessary dialogue with Marc and definitely sped up the completion of the work and the order in which specific elements of the project were done. Only a professional could do this. There was never any doubt about the order in which work was done. Again, other contractors don't operate like this and subsequently, work is done wrong and timeliness are not met. Changes due to seasonal availability of planting was addressed with good replacements and the revisions turned out to be at least as good if not better than the original design. This could have been aggravating and annoying but turned out to be engaging and stirred my emotions again to see the final result that I hoped to see at the beginnking of the project. The crew was a pleasure and really worked diligently to see everything done right. They were proud of the final project when it was done as I still am.

We knew of Marc and his work because he had done the landscaping for several of the homes in our neighborhood. We started with a formal bid from Marc. He made several helpful suggestions regarding our plans. We selected the stone and the plant material and Marc and his team promptly began the project. The job was completed in less than two weeks just as Marc had estimated. We have had many compliments about the results including the quality of the workmanship. Marc comes highly recommended and we are pleased with his work.

Marc's crew came in and did what seemed to be a decent job, although the price seemed high considering how fast they were able to complete the work. There also were two things about the quality of their work that upset me. First, they simply cut back weeds rather than pulled them out. Within a week, everything was on its way back to the way it was before they came. Great for their business, but not what I asked for. They recommended regular maintenance at a fairly high price rather than do anything to address the cause of the problem. Second, they trimmed a tree so badly that I ended up having to pay someone else to remove it entirely. To be fair, the tree hadn't been taken care of by the prior owner of my house, but it looked like it had been trimmed by a team of drunken beavers when they were done with it. I had a horticulturalist take a look at it afterward, and she said that they had cut the main shoot up the center so that it would never grow up again. Apparently, they didn't know what they were doing. We also talked about replacing several of the plants. Marc was willing to do just about anything I asked, but he didn't seem to have many ideas about design. If you knew exactly what you wanted, he would be able to put it in. However, his recommendations were not particularly exciting.

They quoted me $4664 more than what the coupon was for. I felt this was much higher in comparison to the other estimates I received. I felt they may have increased the rate because I bought the coupon. I’m now pursuing a refund form Angie's List.

The process of renovating our front and back yard was a long process and Marc was helpful and knowledgable through every step. I had a basic design in mind when we started the process. Marc took that into consideration and made suggestions. He explained the reasoning for his suggestions, so that I could make informed decisions when it came to the design. He never had any problem answering my questions or explaining what he had in mind. He explained the process before we got started and as the project went along. The project moved along at an acceptable pace, there weren't any long periods of "downtime" between phases of the project. Even a year later, Marc continues to be helpful. When my teenage son spilled wood stain on the driveway, we called Marc and he came by and gave us advice and 3 products to try. He has always been prompt at returning calls.

Overall his work was punctual and done with quality. The work was done in a timely manner and overall was a great quality job.
