Marc was extremely responsive and suggested low maintenance solutions. The landscapers were efficient and actually attended to several items not in the contract. My yard looks beautiful.

Our project went very well and the final outcome was exactly how we had designed it. We worked with a landscape architect who drew the plans up and Marc precisely executed them. Marc is honest, knowledgeable and fair. It is obvious that he genuinely wants his clients to be satisfied. He takes great pride in his work and so does his crew. They are hard working, diligent and skilled craftsman. During the whole project Marc was in constant communication with us about what was going to happen next and where we were on the time-line. He will do what it takes to get the project done with your vision in mind. Even a year after the job was complete, we had an a minor irrigation issue with a stationary pot. He promptly came out to troubleshoot the problem and fixed it immediately. He clearly stands behind his work. We have since recommended Marc Mason Landscaping to several friends and family members. We would not hesitate to use Marc again.

Marc was excellent. About three years ago he redid our backyard, removing our old cracked concrete patio. We replaced that with some really nice pavers and a brand new pergola. Even our HOA liked it. This year Marc came back to give our front yard some TLC. We replaced our nasty front yard with pavers to match the backyard, new planting areas with brand new show stopping plants, new fences and gates, and low garden walls in the backyard. We also redid an atrium off the master bedroom, transforming it into a Little Rock garden with a water feature. Everyone slows down to look at our new front yard. I highly recommend Marc and his crew.

Went according to schedule and on-time. His crew worked very hard and the Paver subcontractor did an excellent job. There were a few unexpected surprises like the drain piple to the street being clogged which will happen with almost every job though we still finished on time and close to budget

We are very pleased with the work performed by Marc Mason and his crew. We had a backyard cement patio poured, new landscaping, new drip irrigation added and an outdoor gas fireplace built. We liked Marc from the start. He replied to emails and phone calls quickly and was out to provide an estimate within a few days. I'd had several estimates for this job, but we selected Marc for his quick communication, clear estimate numbers, and new ideas for our problem areas. He was not the cheapest, but we wanted a licensed contractor with intelligence and professional manner. He had solutions for our dead sod (that did not include replacing the entire lawn), overgrown flower beds (great Michelia champaca alba tree I would have never thought of) and broken mow strip (don't remove it all - place pavers and extend BBQ area instead). He appreciated the fact that I did not want pesticides and sprays to be used. His guys were all hard working professionals as well. Most all spoke English. The job took about a week and getting through construction was not bad at all. We did end up listening to Marc and upgrading our 35+ year-old sprinkler system, adding drip lines to the garden bed, etc. It took us a bit over budget, but we are glad we did it. We were vigilant about following his watering instructions, and everything is living and doing beautifully. We are enjoying our new (and some old) eco-friendly backyard.

Responded immediately to call. Gave a quick estimate of costs. He had a talented crew that were able to finish within a week from our call. He was here at the beginning and end of each day and gave recommendations on which plants would work best. The following week, I contacted Marc because I was concerned about some of the plants. He and his crew were here within an hour and made sure the plants were healthy.

I contacted Marc early in the process of my project. Through Marc’s honest and constructive feed back I realized I needed to do much more planning before furthering a contractor search. I got a detailed landscape plan and interviewed 3 contractors. Marc’s bid was attractive financially but more importantly, Marc provided insights/ ideas that could improve on the plan. Once the work was started, it sailed through completion being done a day early. Marc was responsive to questions and preemptively asked questions to avoid issues. My wife and I are very pleased with the end product and are very much looking forward to when the plants grow into the space.

The job went great! The work was done fantastically, very professional and knowledgeable. I was very pleased. My patio has been transformed to a real show place. I appreciated the communication and progress reports as the project proceeded and what do expect at each phase. They were prompt, cheerful & courteous. They kept the area tidy during the construction. At the end of the project they placed patio furniture, pots and other lawn decorations so that it was easy to setup on new floor. They went above and beyond.

I highly recommend Marc Mason Landscaping for both one-time projects and maintenance. Marc is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced contractors I have ever met. He is an excellent communicator, which is essential in a long term project such as a renovation of our size. He is responsive to all my texts, emails and calls, and kept me updated daily on what was happening that day and what to expect in upcoming days. I was very impressed with Marc's experience when it came to planning around weather. We started our renovation around Thanksgiving, knowing that it might be a rainy winter. Marc considered the forecast each week and could reorganize and reschedule certain steps of the process according to rain reports. As a result, the project rarely lost any days due to weather. Because of Marc's experience, he is able to solve problems on the fly, and he is able to suggest lower cost alternatives when needed.

This was our second project with Marc Mason Landscape Services. Marc helped us with a major renovation of our front, back, and side yards 4 years ago. We wanted to get rid of our lawn to save water, and eagerly hired him again for this project. He recommended a landscape designer who provided him with detailed plans, which I believe (compared to past experience) made the process much smoother. Marc and his crew demo'd the existing lawn and some concrete areas, marked out the new design, laid out decomposed granite, placed landscape boulders, and installed plants, irrigation, mulch, and lighting. The crew members were very considerate and reliable. Their work was always very precise and thorough, and the work site was always very tidy. Marc was on site each day to check in with me. He's very knowledgeable about drought tolerant plants and practices, so made a lot of great recommendations. I am sure other contractors could have done this project in a bit less time for perhaps less money but we trust Marc's knowledge, judgement, and commitment to making it perfect. He was consistently quick to respond with any questions or concerns I had. We also use his company for our bi-weekly yard maintenance. His crew is great!

We had a landscape design and needed someone to implement this plan. We contacted Marc from Angie's list. He contacted us by phone and asked questions. He also asked to see the plan before he met with us. He gave us many suggestions on how to improve on the plan also. When his team started the work, he always showed up first thing in the morning to make sure they knew what they had to do and review the work they did the previous day. All the work was done on time and to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend Marc Mason Landscaping for any work that you need done.

Marc asked lots of questions via phone. He told me in order to get an honest appraisal of the job I needed done- I needed to contact a soil specialist, other wise he said I'm just getting individual opinions that may or may not be right.

Marc was one of three landscapers from Angie's list, who originally came to the house to give us some landscape ideas. He was the only one who suggested we get a landscape designer to draw up plans because although he knew plants, he was not a designer. We thought that was a great idea and we really liked the designer he referred to us. After the design was drawn up, we again asked all three to give us a bid. Marc was the only one who came in person to discuss the terms of the contract whereas the other two just emailed us the bids.We really liked the personal touch. We decided to go with Marc. The project took about 2 months and his crew was always here on time and very professional( they even all wear the same"Marc Mason Landscape" shirts). If there was a day that they couldn't work, Mark either called or emailed us the reason why they wouldn't be here. Everyone that Marc has working for him knows what they are doing and they are very good at it. They were here early in the morning and always cleaned up at the end of each day. Marc knows his business inside out and has everything scheduled and well organized so that the crew is always working on something for the project. Along the way, we wanted to change some things from the original plan and Marc always listened to us and either told us that the change was a good idea or why it might not be such a good idea. He came up with the idea for our walkway design which we absolutely love which is very different from the original plan. Many of the plants from the original plans have been changed and again Marc sat down with us to discuss why a certain plant may not work in a certain area. What we really liked about Marc is that he came to the job site at least once a day and often more than that and If we had a questions he was there to answer it. Also he is very responsive via email or phone. Any time there was a problem, he was right on it. He never got flustered, always listened, and took care of the problem right away. We originally only wanted artificial turf in the backyard. Marc brought over some samples, but we found an artificial turf that we liked better. No problem. Marc got us that one and we liked it so much that we decided to go ahead and have it in the front too. That meant additional prep work for his crew, but it was done and looks great. We love the way the landscape, hardscape and lights have turned out. We would definitely recommend Marc Mason for any landscape project. We have asked Marc to continue doing our yard maintenance service.

I called to get an estimate on redoing my courtyard and replacing my front lawn with drought tolerant plants. The designer that Marc brought with him presented a much better design than what I had in my head. After seeing the design, I decided to add in a new driveway with pavers to match the courtyard so it all looked uniform. The crew that came out to do the demolition was prompt and cleaned up after themselves everyday. The details of their work was excellent. Things like the corners where the pavers came together being cut with nice miter joints instead of just butting them together. After the hardscape (driveway, courtyard and walkway) was done, the landscaping crew came out and got the soil ready for the plants. Then they put in the new drip irrigation, a new fountain, low voltage lighting and then the actual plants. So many people stop by and comment on the work as they walk by. I am so happy with how it all turned out. I would definitely recommend Marc to anyone who needs work done.

Working with a design plan, I asked Marc and three other contractors to give me bid on a re-landscape of my front yard. The design plan included new hardscape, watering system, plants, and lighting. Prior to the bid, Marc met with me and discussed the plans as well as some of the construction issues. Marc checked back with me several times during the bid process to see if I had any questions or needed clarification on any of the bid specifics. While Marc's bid was not the lowest, it was very reasonable and took into account some construction issues that the other bidders had not addressed. Ultimately, I chose Marc to do the work and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Marc worked with me on construction timing and modified his schedule to meet my needs. Marc's crew was always prompt, precisely followed the design plan, worked hard, and cleaned up after each day. Marc played close attention to the project and was here almost everyday to check progress and deal with any issues which had arisen. I was very satisfied with the Marc and his crew and would rehire them again without hesitation.

My favorite thing about Marc was that he showed up as promised, on time and ready to work. He did what he promised. Our courtyard looks amazing and we are very pleased that we chose to work with him. He might be doing some additional work for us. We can definitely recommend Marc and when the time comes, we will work with him again.

Marc and his crew are very easy to work with - punctual, professional and accommodating. Marc did a very good job of keeping us informed of the schedule, work to be performed and answered our questions thoroughly. Marc has good knowledge of both hardscape products and plants and he spent the time needed to advise us to arrive at the best solutions. We are quite pleased with the our new yard, both hardscape and planting.

Our 27-year old back and side patios buckled and cracked from invasive tree roots. Marc visited the site, listened to our wishes for our outdoor area, then recommended the next step. We could not commit to construction for 2 months because of previous plans and he was fine with that schedule. Meanwhile, we had plans drawn for front and back renovation, Marc gave us cost estimates and we scheduled the project which would take one month to complete. The project was completed on time. From Day 1, we had great communication -- Marc listened to our needs, answered any questions and had detailed explanations of his work. This man is ?hands on,? knows the business and his plants! His crews are conscientious and industrious -- a pleasure to have around. This is our first experience with Angie?s List -- and Marc Mason is a gem. :)

Marc came to the house and we explained what we were looking for in general details and a rough sketch. Marc talked us through some ideas that he suggested. We incorporated many of his ideas and then he arranged for another, third person to turn our preliminary design into a CAD drawing which we then used to fine tune the design. Marc gave us an estimate of 6-8 weeks to complete the job. A lot of hard work and 8 weeks later the job was complete and the work was excellent. Marc personally laid out the rocks for the waterfall and the dry creek bed. Marc even bailed me out when I decided to do the sealing of the concrete and flagstone myself and used an inferior sealant product that caused a mess. Marc recommended a stripping product to remove the sealant I applied and recommended a better sealant. After a couple weeks of hard work to remove the sealant I hired Marc to apply the new sealant. His guys came in and applied the sealant and it looks GREAT!. We are very pleased with the job Marc and his crew did and were happy with the level of communication throughout the job.

We consider ourselves fortunate in having selected Marc to take on our landscaping job. What started out to be a simple replacement of existing plantings plus new lawn and overhaul of sprinkler system grew to be a much larger project when the old plantings were removed revealing the terrible condition of the underlying structures. It expanded to involve much hardscaping(including patio wall & fence replacement) and presented a number of construction challenges due to existing confinements. Marc and his team did a masterful job! Throughout the project Marc kept every aspect well coordinated and his team of workers were a pleasure to have around.
