I just bought a new house and am in the process of moving into it. I contacted Brett for a quote for a remodeling project I am interested in completing for the new place. We agreed to an 8AM appointment. The morning of the appointment he contacted me at 654 AM to see if I could meet earlier since he had to be in Santee by 830 AM. I told him I would not be able to show up at the house until 8 AM, our previously agreed appointment time, since I was still living in my old apartment. He said the best he could do was wait for me at the house until I arrived, but had to leave by 810 AM. I told him I thought that was very unprofessional and if that is how he handles quotes I don't want him touching my house.

Brett initially was very prompt in responding to our inquiry (ID'd on Angie's List) last month. He came by our house to take a look and provide a quote on landscaping/softscaping work we needed done. He promised to provide a quote within a few days. Everything fell down from there. He never provided the quote. After repeated follow ups, he continued to promise to provide something. Nothing was ever provided and eventually Brett stopped responding altogether. Don't waste your time trying to work with Brett. Save your time/money for a real professional.

All of the work was done professionaaly by workers with many skills. They arrived on time and cleaned up each day before leaving.We were very happy with the completed job. Brett always had an answer for all of our questions and wanted us to be satisfied. We would definately use Landscape Solutions again and do recommend them to people that we know who need landscaping done.

He did make it out to our house for his appointment. He went over different options with my husband and offered to provide estimates on the various options. Unfortunately, they were too busy to actually provide the estimates. We checked back in after he missed the date he was going to provide the estimate had passed, but he said he was behind because of the upcoming Easter holiday. We have not heard anything since. We would have preferred being told that they are too busy to take on additional work at this time so that we would not be left waiting unnecessarily. We have since hired a different service provider.

Brett was prompt to return my call and came out to estimate. I had a larger job originally planned that included landscape, pergola and irrigation. Unfortunately right in the middle of the bid process we had to scale back. Brett worked with me to get the patio and was able to make a compelling enough offer that I was able to add the courtyard as well. The team was great. They all contributed their opinions on a couple of small design choices - step shape, curve and border of an asymmetric area. These small choices actually had a huge impact on the final look. Their willingness to talk over with me and share ideas from other jobs was great. Thanks guys! I will be planning to use Brett again when I can start the remainder of the project.

I requested estimates for monthly maintenance on 4 of my properties - 3 for front/back yards and 1 for just the front yard. I received a call the same day letting me know they were not taking on any maintenance jobs right now. Should I need landscape design/contracting later on, I'd contact them again.

I spoke to Brett on the phone after finding his contact information on Angie's List on January 29, 2013. I told him where I lived and that I was looking for landscape maintenance. He advised me that he was in his vehicle and requested that I email him my home address and phone number so he could schedule a review of the property. I followed the phone call with the email per his direction. No response. On February 6th, I decided to give it another try since he was so highly rated on Angie's List (and, in life stuff happens). Still, no response. On the same day, I decided to call him again (since my lawn was becoming a bit outrageous). He did not answer his voicemail and as of this rating, has still not contacted me. I moved on to another contractor Chula Vista Lawn Care and they immediately contacted me, showed up and already started work within a weeks time. If San Diego Landscape Solutions did not have time or whatever, they should have contacted me. That would be the professional thing to do. Luckily, no fines from the HOA. Whew!

This purchase was a complete waste of time. We contacted the vendor and met with him within a couple weeks. He stated the person who did his 3-D Landscape Plan was no longer doing it and he couldn't find a replacement. This is specifically what we wanted on a CD. In any case, he drafted a plan with pricing that was outrageous. We asked for a refund and received only a partial refund. We were very disappointed and angered we spent so much wasted time on this company. I would not recommend them at all.

A crew of four men worked carefully to accomplish the job, taking care not to damage existing plantings or surrounding hardscape. They cleaned up beautifully afterward. Overall the repair was done quickly and expertly.

Just great. It came out beautiful. The men that came to do the work were professional, quiet and respectful. They cleaned up everything. Really, the only way you knew they were there is the lovely walkway we have! We are hoping to have another patio across from that area and this is the company we will call!

This company is truly outstanding in every regard. Brett, the owner met with us initially to discuss our project and gave us many great ideas. We were impressed with his professionalism and 'can do' attitude. His crew was equally professional, hard-working, conscientious and eager to please. We were absolutely amazed with the results when they were finished with our project-within a mere week's time they essentially did an 'extreme makeover' with both our front and back areas. It is absolutely beautiful and park-like yet with many drought resistent plants and lots of color. We love it! We were just finishing up with an extensive home remodel and needed our 'outside' to match our 'inside' in time for Thanksgiving and much to our surprise they were able to do just that in a very short time. If I could give this company an A+ I would, they were a delight to work with and delivered in a big way and their work is of the highest quality.! We are already planning to utilize their services again in the Spring for the hardscape, pool decking, all new walkways and patios, etc. Thank you, Brett, Andy and everyone else on the Landscape Solutions team!

Service was very prompt, attentive, and professional. All work was high quality and a great improvement to an irrigation system that has been problematic. Could not have expected more. Owner involved at all stages.

It went very well from the moment I talked to Brett Pieratt till the day they were finished we found him fair, honest, always on time, He was very helpful with the questions I asked. This is a rental home and it looked so nice when they were done. Our new tenant is very pleased. We will use him again at our home in a few months. We are so pleased with his work and his team, we tell everyone we know who needs work done to call LANDSCAPE SOLUTIONS. Thank you Angie for having him on your list. He is terrific! Great! They know what they are doing. They are professional, careful, and thorough in their work. Good communicators too! They fixed all the problems we were having with our sprinkler system and tuned it up so that it will perform better down the road. We will definitely call them again for any other sprinkler system or landscaping work we need done.

His quote to lay out the dirt, was over $3000.00. We have a small front yard.

They were pleasant, easy, and responsive. After they did the job, we had a little issue with the irrigation. They came back out the next day, checked it out, and tweaked things. We were really happy with them.

I contacted Brett Pieratt to help come up with a landscaping plan for my house and give me an estimate. Brett worked with me to come up with an affordable solution for what I wanted. I had previously had C&J Fencing do one side of my backyard with cedar fencing and they were supposed to call me when they were available to do the other side but never did. I know they are very busy because they do excellent work. I asked Brett if he could do it, and even though he was a little higher priced and took longer to complete it, it was almost as good as C&J. Overall the fence and the rest of the work took about 4 weeks because Brett has to juggle workers at various jobs. It was hard to schedule anything else because you didn't always know when they were going to show up. The wrong color pavers were sent by mistake and partially installed in the backyard. Brett gave me the option of replacing them or take a discount. Since it still looked good I took the discount. The front yard was done in the originally selected color. I had no other major problems and I was happy with the work.

This project was finished on time and on budget, with exceptional craftsmanship. Some of the hard scape called for in the plans was very difficult to perform, but Bret's crew was very much up to the task. I tend to be very compulsive in getting the details the way I want them. Bret's crew accommodated my input without complaint in order to get the project done just right. I had two small change orders and Bret priced the changes very fairly. I took bids from several contractors. This bid was not the lowest but I liked that the bid was fixed without "allocations" and Bret conveyed a sense of competence that made me feel comfortable. I am happy I did not simply go with the lowest bidder. I would certainly use Landscape Solutions again.

I purchased an Angie's list deal for $99 (a $200 value). He offered some general ideas and took two measuements and said he would work up a plan. That was two weeks ago. Haven't heard from him since.

Brett returned my initial call literally within minutes and set up an appt to go over my project. He was very punctual, totally professional, obviously has a ton of experience, he had great ideas that we would have never thought of. He e-mailed me a detailed estimate the very next day and suggestions as to how to stay within our budget. He and all of his crew (at one time there were 5 people here) were all just as professional and knowledgable and friendly and courteous as could be. Always showed up when he said they would. Basically they dug out alot of old gnarly crap and installed a beautiful new sod lawn complete with a really nice block border and irrigation system. All the work was done with great care and attention to detail. I was mucho impressed at how Brett called me each night to follow up on how things went that day and what we could expect for the next day. Everything went exactly the way he said it would and right on schedule. We are thrilled with our new front yard, and the irrigation system works just great. We stayed right within our orig budget and got way more than we thought we would for the money. And they truly did beautiful work. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to ANYONE, no matter how big or small a job you've got. Ours wasn't real big, but we were treated like it was the most important job ever. I will definitely be calling on these guys again for my next landscaping project. Thank you Brett, for an awesome experience. It's folks like you that make Angie's List an absolute gold mine.

Brett never contacted us after coming to our home to extimate the job. Unprofessional at best.

Brett and his crew were the consummate professionals! From the moment we met Brett and through out the entire process, he did everything possible to make sure we felt comfortable. This included showing us previous projects, bringing multiple samples of products, going to the nursery with us, making changes as necessary, and working extra to meet our schedule. We couldn't be happier with the final product. We look forward to working with Landscape Solutions in the future to complete our back yard!

From the beginning through the end of the project, Brett and his crew were terrific. Brett did an initial plan, giving us various options to stay within budget. When we cut out or trimmed certain aspects, he did not object at all -- he treated us as though we were spending his money, not ours. The final plan took maximum advantage of what we already had in place, so as to reduce costs, including recovering a large number of paving stones to use in the new pathways. The work was done and paid for in stages, with each stage completed on time and with a crew that was completely professional. They worked hard, were very pleasant, left the property each day in good shape, and did what they were supposed to do. The results are delightful. Brett helped us select all the plants, even spending an hour or two with us at the nursery. His suggestions were invariably excellent. One especially nice aspect was his attention to our desire to reduce water use. The irrigation system he installed uses controllable drip irrigation throughout, and is very easy to adjust and maintain. Only one aspect of the project didn't work out exactly as planned, involving the coverage of a large slope with ground cover. Brett and his team tried a couple of fixes - at no extra cost to us - and the result was more than acceptable. Overall: a terrific outfit to deal with. I would definitely use them again.
