Great! Turned out exactly how I wanted!

It was a large undertaking, and Brett was absolutely fantastic in his approach to doing the work. His team is very knowledgeable and was on time every morning, working hard all day. The finished product is lovely. It looks better than I expected. I have had one or two of the plants not make it, but that might have been weather related right after the project was done. Anyway, I would definitely hire them again. I plan on doing my backyard in the spring, and I will be calling them to schedule the work.

Absolutely wonderful! Work was done in a short period of time. Great guys that work for Bret and his company. We are definitely going to have SD Landscape Solutions do more work for us.

I was really impressed with the whole process, Brett and his team were here early as promised and meet all of our requests. The final project exceeded our expectations. I would recommend them to anybody!

Bret has been very easy to work with and professional, he has given us excellent suggestions and has put us in contact with other contractors for additional work (house painting, rain gutters). Work is not quite done yet, but I would be happy to use his services again!

Landscape solutions was great- they showed up when they said they would and constructed a cement block wall over 120 feet in lenght in record time. It was three days start to finish. I am amazed by their professionalism and would highly recommend them for your landscape projects.

Almost a year ago we did a major overhaul on 3 sides of our house. We did internet research and also got a referral to help decide to go with Brett and San Diego Landscape Solutions. We knew it was going to be a big and expensive project. We contacted them and Brett came over a few days later to help us understand and even design our future backyard. He worked with us to get creative ideas to help us maximize, yet stay near our budget. We worked up a plan and for a low fee he provided a full detailed drawing of our design. As you can see in the pictures we did full demolition of concrete, removed some dirt, built retaining walls, replaced fences, added grass, pavers, plants, irrigation, a fire pit and full landscaping with lighting. Nearly a year later as I finally get around to typing this, I can say we are thrilled that our backyard has been transformed. The maintenance has been minimal and of course nothing has broken. Sure a few plants died, but they were taken care of and replaced, not sure if that?s standard, but he did it anyway. Initially, we set out to do our backyard and after being as happy as we were, we later continued to use Brett and his crew to finish out our side yards and a few minor things in the front. We?ve ran out of land to landscape now, but over the past year Brett?s crew has remained the same and I?ve dealt with many of them directly and they were always nice to me and my kids. Pros - No subcontractors to manage, San Diego Landscape manages your whole project, he even helped me deal with a fence subcontractor hired by myself to make sure it matched our design. Brett helped save a major mess as the fence almost went in the wrong spot! - Nice and courteous crew. Daily, they cleaned up and left a minimal mess as the project went on. - Daily updates. This was my favorite part. Sure it was all drafted up and designed, but before a wall is laid, a hole is dug or a patio is shaped? Brett and his crew will do a walk through with you to make sure that?s where you want it to go. There WILL be things you?ll change your mind about as you build and that was something very reasonably handled. - They promised to start a few weeks out and they did. - They told us it would take 6 to 7 weeks and it did! Cons - I ran out of yard to redo! Bottom line, we had a great experience working with the company. Trusting your contractor is sadly such a huge issue and there was no problems here. Brett is a straight shooter and will give you a fair deal. If you want it cheaper and note quite done right, do it yourself!

Went very well, showed up at scheduled time, always cleaned before leaving each day. Was completed on time. Very professional staff. Happy with quality of work. With any issues I had, was fixed to our satisfaction. Great team to work with. Highly recommend.

Much thanks to Brett and Andy for fixing my broken sprinkler system. Another contractor was laying pavers and pounded 6? long spike nails through my sprinkler lines. After fixing two leaks and three others appeared, Brett determined new lines would resolve the problem. Although the work started on 12/11/16, rain delayed completion until 12/15/16. Brett clearly communicated when work was delayed and when it would resume. Andy laid the new lines, replaced the valves, hooked up to existing bubblers and line watering a hill while troubleshooting for problems along the way. Andy worked tirelessly, knows everything to know about sprinklers and did a truly terrific job! Will definitely call them in the future. Thanks again!

San Diego Landscaping Solutions is a very experienced and professional company. They were very prompt in all communications and met all of their timing commitments. They are also very nice people. We enjoyed doing business with them. The landscaping installation met and exceeded all of our expectations. The concrete work was a bit tricky and has been commended by several others (more expert than me) as a very high quality job. The overall results are outstanding. We would highly recommend this company to others.

Brett and his team were great. Brett was very responsive, easy to work with and on time for appointments. He also made helpful suggestions / recommendations when it came to both the hardscaping and landscaping design (I am terrible at making decisions when presented with too many choices) and he worked with me to get some last minute HOA approvals taken care of so that the job could move forward. HIs team was very professional and courteous - they were great about cleaning up at the end of each day, which I appreciated. I had a few plants that weren't doing so well a few weeks after the job was finished and I received a timely response to my request to have someone come out to replace them. I received bids from a couple of other companies and this one came in one the low end. I am very happy with the work and my new yard - which I can look at now without cringing - and can recommend Landscape Solutions without reservation.

E mailed Brett about getting an estimate for irrigation and concrete sidewalk installation. I received a quick reply and set up an appointment without any problem. The work took three days. Everyone who worked on Brett's team was professional and courteous. When I had any questions, Brett got back to me quickly. The job took about three days. The crew cleaned up completely after the job was done. I am very happy with my sidewalk. I would highly recommend San Diego Landscape Solutions.

Right from the start, the crew worked hard 6 days a week. They arrived promptly and worked with great attention to detail. They were a congenial group who seemed to have a great working relationship, (in other words a happy crew). We were promised that the project would be completed on time and indeed it was and the result was outstanding. We highly recommend this company.

This service provider is a waste of time. Pass on this business. I tried to contact this business through their website link on Angie's app. I gave a detailed account of my needs for them. I waited 4 business days and no contact from them either by phone or email. I then sent an email directly to the company in another attempt to contact them. No reply at all. This company must be doing well to not take on any more work. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS BUSINESS BECAUSE EVIDENTLY I JUST DID. PASS!!!

The estimate provided by Brett Pieratt, the owner of SD Landscape Solutions was clear and concise. His bid was not the lowest I received. However, after reviewing his bid and speaking with him I could tell he knew what he was doing. Also, he mentioned early on that he had a large project to wrap up before he could start mine and was very concerned that the delay would meet my schedule which was not a problem. His crew actually started on Saturday in order to meet his proposed one week time frame. The guys were courteous, conscientious and they picked up after themselves at the end of each day which I believe goes a long way with home owners. Brett either stopped by or called everyday to discuss the progress and always asked if there were any concerns I might have that needed to be addressed. After dealing with a lot of contractors during 40 plus years in the construction industry myself, I was very impressed with Brett and his employees. I would not hesitate in recommending San Diego Landscape solutions.

He came talked, took measurements, photos and then it was essentially a black hole. My wife tried to followup but never received any designs.

When I decided to get my backyard landscaped and having absolutely no experience with this sort of thing, I really had no clue as to which landscape construction company to go with. Given that my budget was around $50K and my project wasn't that small, I wanted to make sure I hired the right the guys. I started by looking at the reviews and ratings in Angie's List for reputable companies and I narrowed my search to three to get proposals from. Of the three, Landscape Solutions delivered the most transparent and open proposal - Brett's proposal detailed out every single line item of the construction and work, no matter how small, whereas the others simply lumped the costs into big category buckets. During the construction, you'll most likely encounter some change orders or deviations and having this will help you better understand the associated cost deviations without feeling taken. In addition, even before accepting his proposal, Brett took the time to meet me at the building material yard to show me all the material options I could work with and he promptly factored in my selections to the revised proposal. While his proposal was a bit more than the others, I felt confident of his service and ability, which quickly sealed the deal for me. My construction began with demolition of existing hardscape and plants. His team quickly took care of that and moved onto the next phase. My backyard construction consisted of a new balcony deck, retaining walls, pavers, plants and sod, irrigation, lighting features, and some underground utilities (gas and electrical line). During the construction, he tried to find ways to save me money and would run it by me. In the end, he was able to save me about $2,000. His crew is also friendly and professional and has respect for your neighbors and noise. I was especially impressed by Andy with this attention to detail and work ethics. Brett would also come by often to provide me with updates for the week. Our primary method of communication was through text message and he was always very responsive. I felt the project was always on schedule without quality sacrifice. I would definitely hire Brett again for future projects or recommend him to friends or colleagues. When looking at reviews, I would suggest putting more weight on reviews that actually had sizable work done.

The valve replacement for my sprinkler system was a fair price and the service was completed. Punctuality and professionalism were just average at best. Responsiveness was poor. As this was being done on an emergency basis, in a busy time of year for sprinklers, I was going to give the the benefit of doubt and received an estimate for another project, knowing it would be about a month before they were available to do the work. At six weeks they had failed to call; I began calling them. When my messages were finally returned it was to say they were not going to do my work after all as they had found a larger job. It was now two months after receiving the estimate.

True professionals. Installed a planter and retaining wall. Brett offered some practical and useful options for materials and wall construction without trying to sway one way or the other. After estimate, put 10% down to start the job and paid the remainder after job completion. Very punctual - his crew was already on site, unloading gear, and getting started at the scheduled time. Brett was on site during a large portion of the work, and when he wasn?t there was easily accessible by phone. He promised to complete the job by Christmas Eve ? they worked through Saturday and ended up finishing a day early. They immediately repaired/restored sprinkler pipes and heads that were displaced or damaged during work, with no extra charge. His crew had a complete set of irrigation & sprinkler parts readily on hand ? they?re obviously seasoned pro?s at doing this. Their rates are competitively priced and the quality of work is superb. We are very happy with our new walls. Would definitely recommend. I plan to hire San Diego Landscape Solutions again for another job in my back yard.

The guys went above and beyond to make sure my sprinkler systems were all working and that all the plants would do well long into the future. I love not having grass!

Brett Pieratt of San Diego Landscape Solutions offers free estimates on his website. He came by to look the place over and took a copy of the plans. After two weeks had passed (in which time other contractors had produced detailed estimates), I called Brett to see what progress he had made in my estimate. He told me his new business model was that he no longer does estimates; he could take the time to do one for me but he would have to charge me for the time it took him to figure out the estimate. When I asked him how I would be expected to hire him with no idea what the final cost would be, he just told me that he was the best around and that his work was so spectacular that it would be worth it. I'm sorry I wasted my time (and a copy of the plans) on this guy.

Brett was extremely helpful with the original work. He came out when scheduled and did an excellent job of replacing a poorly functioning control panel (backyard) . He was very honest in that he said the other control panel (front yard) was still operating well and did not need to be replaced at this time (-always welcome news). He gave us his cell phone number so we could reach him directly in an emergency which really came in handy when one of the pumps would not shut off. He told us what to do until he could get to our house to fix the problem. We discussed some work we would like to have done in the future and will definitely call Brett and his company San Diego Landscape Solutions when that time comes.

Very professional Punctual, clean, responsive, flexible, communicative and cost effective.

Brett provided us with a timeline on when the job would start and end and he was accurate. Brett and his men were extremely courtesy, professional and definitely skilled in their various areas. Brett provided us options on the pavers, pebbles, flowers to choose. We met him at the "yard" to see first hand what options we had. He provided us information on the difference between the lava rock and glass for the fire-pit. Although we had done some research before hand it was great to hear it directly from the professional on what would work best for our particular needs. We ultimately chose the lava rock for the fire-pit and so glad we did. Even when we made some changes to the design, Brett listened to our suggestions and incorporated the ones that would work well for our backyard. Even as the project was underway, Brett himself suggested some changes for the overall look and flow of the backyard. We are also glad we agreed to his various suggestions. The layout of our backyard is so beautiful it actually has exceeded our expectations. Even after they were all finished we noticed there was some minor issues to resolve. Brett responded promptly and took care of them right away. We would definitely would recommend him and his team and are extremely happy with the job they all did.

We are extremely happy with the work Brett and team did for us on this 1-month project. The quality is great, and the whole crew was friendly and kept us involved with the planning and decision-making along the way. In the end, the yard ended up looking exactly like the plan. They finished on-schedule, working an extra Saturday or two along the way to make sure that happened. We started out with the free consultation to get a rough estimate for what we wanted. Landscape Solutions was one of three companies we had over for this. Their estimate was neither the highest nor the lowest, but we had a good feeling about Brett who was considerably more friendly and willing to listen to our ideas than the others. From there, we decided to go ahead with a paid design consultation ($1000). We were a little skeptical about the cost, but were blown away with what we got. The plan was very detailed and much more elegant than what we had previously imagined. We really feel this planning step was worth the money. After settling on the plan (we went through a second revision, at no added cost), we booked a start date that was a couple weeks out. The work started on time, and they showed up between 6:30AM and 7:30AM every morning thereafter. We met with them every morning on our way into work to check in the on the progress and make sure we liked the direction it was going. About half-way through the project, Brett met with us on a Saturday morning at a nursery, where we spent an hour or so picking out plants and discussing their placement. It was a lot of fun! We made similar visits to a couple stone yards to pick out flagstone, pavers, and gravel, too. A couple days later the plants were set out (in pots) around the yard for final approval on the placement, and 30 minutes later (with 8 or so guys working lightning fast) everything was in the ground. After everything was mostly done, Brett came by to check in and see if any touch-ups were needed. He added a couple more drip sprinklers, an additional capstone at the end of one of the walls, ordered some additional fireglass for our firepit, and added a couple more walkway lights at no no additional cost. We've already recommended Landscape Solutions to a couple friends of ours, and will likely be in touch with them again in a year or two to help with our driveway and front yard.
