The workers trimmed & thinned out our fruitless mulberry. Just the way we like it! Shaped not butchered after all. The trimming they cleaned it all up! They were all professional and the work met our highest expectations.

The arborist arrived on time, and seemed knowledgeable about trees. The estimate was very detailed and specific. The primary reason I did not select this company was price, although their estimate was comparable to that of the company we selected. I would have been comfortable hiring this company.

These folks did a great job and were very competitvely priced. The only problem I had was with getting the contract signed and getting scheduled for the job. I had to follow up two weeks after I signed and sent in the contract. However, they were professional, and once the scheduling issue was handled, it went very well. I would hire them again based on the price for the work done. Wow.

Never showed up to provide an estimate and never called to reschedule. When I called to see what was going on, I was told "he's out of town, so it will be next week." If you are a professional, you call to reschedule.

This company has done work in the neighborhood and seemed qualified and professional. My neighbor hired them and again I was impressed with their diligence. I approached the Foreman (Mike) who quoted me a reasonable price and notified his office. The office staff was efficient and we were able to consummate the deal on the same day, allowing the crew to move quickly from one job to the next, saving me and the company some money. They were very efficient in cleaning up after themselves.The workmen were asked to be careful of some special plants and shrubs in our yard and their care was greatly appreciated. The best part is that my giant Chinese Elm tree has not looked this good ever. We lost several branches this winter and I have been worried about one falling on my house. Now I don't have to worry about cleaning up downed limbs or having my roof caved in.

Great experience, and price was EXTREMELY competitive. I called them to have 3 trees (20-30' tall) cut down and have the stumps (and one other existing stump) removed. They gave me a bid that was significantly lower than two other bids. They did the work in the agreed-upon timeframe, and they were very neat in terms of removing everything, not damaging my lawn, and not leaving a mess. The only hiccup is that they didn't do it all in one day, as I thought they would -- came back a few days later to grind out two remaining stumps. I was a little worried for a few days because I didn't know if they were coming back -- this uncertainty could have been avoided by simply leaving me a note or a voicemail. But they did get it done in the timeframe we originally talked about, and the price was great, so no problem. Also, they honored the 10% AL discount AFTER we agreed on price, which struck me as very honest. The only reservation I have at all about recommending them was that my job was quite simple -- just removing things, rather than more skilled and delicate stuff like pruning -- I have no direct experience of what their abilities are for that more complex type of work. But for what I hired them to do, they were FANTASTIC -- awesome price, done on schedule, and didn't leave a mess -- I would DEFINITELY recommend them and hire them again for this type of work. I called several arborists to bid on trimming and thinning the dead wood out of the tree. Tree Pros had the best price and the owner, who survey the job himself, seemed very professional. His wife, who runs the operations side of the business, sent a contract via email. I signed it and emailed it back. I received a response that I would get a call from her husband to get me on the schedule. He never called! I guess he didn't need the business after all.

I was very happy with them. They were not the least expensive but they were the most knowledgeable and have a licensed arborist working for them.

We've got several 50 - 60 foot tall redwood trees on our property. One of the smaller ones died and was making a huge mess with it's brown dropping needles - the tree was less than 20 feet from our pool. I called Tree Pros and got a live person - not a recording! The lady who answered took my info and I got a call back from Phil shortly thereafter. He came out the next day to look at the situation and give me a quote. With the Angie's list discount, it came to $270. Not too bad. This did NOT include pulling the stump, which would have been ugly, considering it's proximity to the pool and underground sprinkler lines. I agreed to the price and Phil said they'd be able to remove the tree within the next two weeks. Sure enough, the following week I got a call from Phil and they scheduled the cutting for today (6/22/12). He and his crew arrived shortly after noon, as promised. Within an hour they had the dead tree downed and the entire mess cleaned up and hauled away. One of his guys even used our pool net/scoop to clean out a couple small sticks that had fallen into the pool. Tree is gone (well, the stump remains!), mess cleaned up, and no damage to any of our stuff. I'd certainly recommend this company if you need tree service.

They are certified arborists. The owner is Phil Johnson. We've used them in the past. They are great and they do very well on the cleanup. The staff is very nice. We had to have them come back because they missed two limbs. They were very prompt. It took us time to set up for the scheduling. My husband handled everything and he was happy with the price. We would definitely use them again.

Everything went fine and they did a great job. When they came to inspect there was a couple of things that hadn’t been done the way that I had agreed upon, though the owner had his foremen come out before they left and take off the rest of the stuff. So it was fine.

The team arrived a little early and began work immediately. They couldn't just cut down the whole tree at once because it was close to a fence and my backyard is quite narrow. One climbed the tree and they carefully cut branches, making sure they did not fall into my neighbor's yard or break the fence. They performed their work quickly (about 30 minutes), took away all of the branches including the one that fell, and cleaned up all of the debris. They were pleasant to work with, careful, and very efficient. This was the second time I've used this company and will use them again.

My Modesto Ash and Maple tree in my front yard had grown so large that the lawn was dying from the lack of sunlight. The Modesto Ash had grown so much mistletoe that it still looked green in the middle of winter! The Maple had grown over my driveway and had a large limb that had some damage that caused me to worry during every wind storm. The team from Tree Pros removed all the mistletoe and opened up the crown of the Modesto Ash, my lawn will now grow healthy again. The Maple was thinned out and opened up. No more worries.

Tree Pros Inc came out to the house and gave me estimate. Scheduled and they came out. There was a crew of I think 3-4 men. They cut the trees down and cleaned up after. I was happy they had done the job from start to finish without doing any damage. I had a spa and gazebo in the way. The company I work for uses Tree Pros Inc and they are local. So I know their work and figured I would use them at my home. I would definately hire them again for any other tree removal.

Called 3/26 to have someone inspect a dying tree. They agreed to send someone out to inspect (tree is out front) and would email me a bid to correct. Called 3/30 to check on the bid. No one had been out yet as they were busy and they would have someone call me soon. Didn't even apologize. Never heard back from them. I understand if they are busy, but dont waste my time.

I was satisfied with the work performed. The overall experience was excellent. The day they were supposed to come back to remove the stumps they didn't show up. I called them and was told that the appointment had been dropped from their schedule. We rescheduled and they came back to remove the stumps, and the job was done well. They were very clean and very thorough.

I was very happy with the work. I would have liked to be home when the work was performed. Although I could not be there my wife was home. She said they were prompt.

I hesitated to post this, but their lack of response is just as important as a well done job report on Angie's List. Sometime in October 2011 I contacted them and Michael Garcia promptly came out within a few days to walk the property. He was very knowledgeable when we talked about the different choices for handling our property. He brought out Phill the next day to look at other landscaping needs that I had. I was promised a quote within a few days. I never received a call or email. I called a few days later requesting the quote and the person was out sick and Michael was out in the field - they'd leave a message. I called again a few days later and left a message for Michael to contact me. I never received a call or email. I did not try again. Another company did the work.

The process and the job went extremely well. We were told by another tree service that the job was dangerous and more than they wanted to do. This was due to the electrical lines, adjoining property overhang on three side of my yard and the tree removal over our home roof and our solar patio roof. Tree Pro's realized the difficulty and explained the process for safety and protection of property. I felt confident in the crew and the process after the on-site walk-through. The day of service Tree Pro's came with three trucks and eight men to perform the job. They allowed me to walk throughout the property with the foreman and the job manager before they started the work. The foreman really understood what I was looking for, how I wanted my yard to look and most important how much upkeep I was willing to do in the future. After that, I left for work and my husband kept me informed of the crews progress. When I came home from work I was amazed and overwhelming happy with the work. They performed the job as if they were working on their our home and in their own yard. Even my neighbors complimented us on the service. I consider myself a tuff sell for tree service because the work is so dangerous. I asked and Tree Pros delivered!

We asked for their arborist/estimate person to come out and they send the correct person. He gave us suggestions on the other trees in the yard. The scheduled the work for the following week and the cutters arrived early!! They had the trees down/trimmed in no time even though it had started to sprinkle. We were going out of town so the stump grinding crew couldn't come until we returned, but they scheduled it promptly and again they showed up promptly and got the work done. We are very happy with the result. They aquired the permit to deal with the oak trees so we didn't have to.

I have a very large sycamore tree in my front yard that needed dead and overhanging branches trimmed. I proceeded to obtain estimates from 4 different companies. Three out of the four companies had left me estimates within a day or two of my request. When I spoke to Tree Pro's I was told I would have an estimate e-mailed to me by the end of the week. By the next Monday when I still hadn't received an estimate, I called them back. I was told that the person doing the estimate had my paperwork with him in his truck & I should receive the estimate by that evening or the next morning. I finally received their e-mailed estimate by Tues. evening. Their price was the most reasonable so I called Wed. to schedule the work. I was told they had a couple of big jobs going on so they probably wouldn't be able to get to my tree for about 3 weeks. Their scheduler was unavailable until the next Mon., but she would call me with an actual date when she got it on the books. When I hadn't received a call with a scheduled date by the next Tues. I called them again & was told the scheduler was out sick for the rest of the week. I asked if there was anyone else that could schedule a date for me & was basically told 'no'. I did finally receive a call another week later telling me that I had finally been scheduled a day to have the work done. Needless to say, responsiveness & professionalism is not a strength for the Tree Pro's office team. The men that did the work were punctual, seemed to do a pretty good job & cleaned up afterwards fairly well. Although, they did leave quite a bit of debris on my roof that would have been nice if they could have cleaned that off as well. The convenience of not having to take a day off work & have to be home was nice & so was the pay online option.
