Smoothly. This crew and owner Brent McCaleb know what to do and how to do it. In the rain, no less! This is the second time I've used them in the last year, plus, and that is my testimonial to the outstanding work. I wasn't disappointed in any aspect. Excellent communication and cleanup.

Did very clean work, quickly and thoroughly. Only disagreement was on how to shorten the height of tree. I wanted to have more topping. They convinced me that it could damage the trees. I still wish I had them do what I wished.

They were on time, finished early, cleaned up perfectly and let us evaluate the job before they left. The price was very reasonable and actually much less than others who bid the job. I would use their services again. We were very satisfied.

I called for an estimate. They went by my house about a week later and emailed me an estimate to remove a large Bradford Pear tree and ground the stump. I approved the work. They came a couple of days later to remove the tree, and two weeks later to grind the stump. The team that removed the tree did a fantastic job cleaning up. Yard looked perfect after they left. I was surprised at the huge pile of ground stump that the stump grinding team left. I had another tree removed by a different company several years ago and they removed all of that. It was fine, but I would have liked to have known that would be left behind. I have a bad back and getting rid of that was a huge chore.

Great work. Returned to finish job as stump grinder had a malfunction. Very fair price, reliable and trust worthy.

They gave me a single quote and they worked out...they were doing a big job so I have to schedule them but they finished early and it wasn't too far away. They called me and finished the job. I paid them for taking off the tree...the price was very reasonable...it was almost a little too cheap that's why I was a little skeptical but I've used them before for trimming.

They were the best price, came out quickly to give an estimate by a certified arborist, arrived right on time the day of trimming, arborist was on site the entire day, They chipped everything and left the wood chips for us to keep. They were friendly, courteous, professional, cleaned up behind themselves, and did a very good job on the trees. We will definitely use them again the next time we need trimming and can recommend them.

My mother has a huge California Heritage Oak (protected) on her condo lot. We had an expert certified arborist (who teaches for UC Davis), inspect the tree before buying the condo 1 1/2 years ago. She said it was a beautiful oak, in great condition, and highly valuable. She said it would need to be trimmed and cabled in the next 2-3 years. We decided to do so before the next wet, windy season started. I came on Angie's List to get 3 estimates. The first came out and said it was a beautiful, valuable and protected tree, but the size made it beyond his scope to cable. A second, with experience cabling trees of this size, is coming out next week. When I called this company for an estimate, the woman on the phone said, "We don't cable, it just postpones the inevitable." Now, if they don't cable, that's fine, their business and they can simply state as much. But to discourage cabling and inform customers that it shouldn't be done is wrong. Cabling is an essential part of caring for these strong, ancient beauties around which we've raised up our communities. Their ad says they have an arborist--perhaps that person should do some staff training. To not cable this tree and simply wait for the "inevitable" would risk life and homes, not to mention the fines imposed for damage to a giant Heritage Oak in California. I certainly would not trust this company after my first encounter.

The work was done a day after I contacted them, and completed the next day. We discussed future work that may be needed, and I would use TreePros without hesitation for any service needed.

They did an excellent job of trimming. Communication could have been better. At times it was difficult getting ahold of the arborist. Their price was the best out of three quotes- including Capital Arborists and Davey Trees.

A fair price for work done professionally and promptly. All communications were very timely and efficient. Nice crew. We appreciated the service from start to finish.

I sent two requests for an estimate one week apart via their website contact form AND I followed up with phone call. I received no response from either contact attempt. I guess they're too busy and don't need my business. Good for them!

I was very pleased. They cleaned up behind themselves. They came when they said they would. The price was what they said it was.

Thorough and professional, from quote to completion of the work. They removed a tree, and pruned limbs of neighbors trees along fence. Took less than an hour, and cleaned up all the leaves and twigs, shredded the limbs.

I received a prompt response to my request for an estimate on work on my trees at the end of May and they dropped the ball. I did not hear back from them, so I sent a follow up on June 18 to let them know I was not happy about never hearing back from them. They wanted to get right on doing an estimate, but I had already contracted with another company. I can't trust a company that fails to handle a basic item like doing an estimate.

I asked 8-9 different companies to evaluate tree trimming work. Brent from Tree Pros, stood out among the rest because of his honest and altruistic advice on how to proceed with potential neighbor/legal liability, how to best protect our rights, what protection Sacramento affords its Oak Trees. Not only did I value his input but I appreciated his professionalism, quality of work and estimate of cost. Anne and Jessica on his team are great to work with, responsive and helpful. His crew was very prompt and efficient and respectful. Definitely worth more than the value I paid for, and wish I had more trees for him to cut! All other quotes were not only 40% more but also didn't spend the time to explain the process. Highly recommend Tree Pros.

It took a long time to get them out for the estimate, then took a long time to get the date for the work to be done. I think it's because they are so good, they are very busy. Once the date was set, everything went smoothly. All the workers where polite and cleanly dressed. Nothing scary about them being in my back yard all day. They cleaned up all the debris, put back anything they moved out of the way. Nothing was damaged. I am very pleased and have already recommended them to a friend.

The four man crew arrived shortly after 7AM, did their mobilizing, and started the work about 7:30, completing all except the stump grinding by 11:00. They were very careful to protect shrubbery, lawn, and house, limiting damages to those items and areas which had been mutually agreed were unavoidable. Brent McCaleb, owner, was very helpful in advising me regarding the ways I could prepare the site and minimize such damages. Because access to the rear yard was severely constrained, I had been previously advised it would be necessary to remove a fence panel to gain access for the stump grinder. However, Brent's machine could be manipulated to a width of 30-inches and easily clear a 36-inch wide pedestrian gate. All work and access involved on the job was done through that gate. Because of prior commitments, the grinding was scheduled and accomplished 10 days after the tree removal, this too being mutually agreed upon. Here, again, the utmost care was taken by Brent to preclude any damage to the house and the surrounding landscaping. All in all, very professionally done.

U no, I really don't understand how these people rate N "A+". I originally called them on Monday, Feb 25th. I wanted 2 schedule an appointment 2 have their arborist come out & take a look at a large oak tree to see if might need to be cut down or could it be saved. The female party I spoke with took my name & # said someone would call me back. Well, I didn't get a call back til Friday, March 1st. In the mean time, wanting 2 have more then 1 bid, I called another Tree Service. They immediately scheduled an appointment 4 me. Interestingly enough, it was shortly after they came out and gave me a quote that I got the call back from Tree Pros wanting 2 schedule N appointment. I told the same female party I originally spoke with that calling me "back" nearly a week later was not acceptable N I made arrangements with another firm. Her response was that she had some "personal" matters she had to take care of. Huh?, this is a business & that's how U take care of customers? I read a # of the reviews and it seems that this firm does have a "problem" with keeping their promise to callback. In my book, the entire process of securing a bid & completing the work is how U rate a firm. This firm either has more business then it can handle and doesn't care if they call back in a timely manner OR mayB the powers that B need 2 see about securing a much better answering service. p.s. Don't just count on what Angie's List shows. I ran a chk with the Ca Dept of Corp, Better Business Bureau &, Business licensing. While neither this firm or the firm I hired had any problems, there was 1 highly rated firm that showed it's license revoked & it's insurance expired. Be safe, chk everything out that U can B4 hiring any firm or individual.

The work was quick and neat and professional care was taken to keep everything safe.

Because of the excellent rating it received on Angie's List, I called Tree Pros and left a voice mail explaining by needs. The only part of my experience with Tree Pros that was a bit disappointing was the long time it took for them to call back after my voice mail. i did not get a return call for over a week. Despite my disappointment with the response time, when the owner, Brent, did call back, I decided to go ahead and request he visit the property and give me an estimate. Brent was on time for the estimate meeting and after walking around the property and explaining what I wanted done, I had a good feeling that we were communicating well with each other and that he understood my objectives for the work. Brent was able schedule the work soon after I agreed to have Tree Pros do the job. Brent came on time with his crew on the agreed upon day and they went right to work. At the end of the work, Tree Pros had done what I requested and did a good job of cleaning up the pruned material. The final price was exactly the amount agreed upon and there were no surprises with bill. I do feel that the price was a little high for the amount of time it took to do the job. However, I did not get quotes from other reputable sources to compare estimates, and did agree the price charged ahead of time, so I really can't fault Tree Pros if in fact I could have had the job done for less money. I would definitely use Tree Pros again and would recommend them to others.

I have an large fruitless mulberry tree in my front yard. There is one large branch that had started splitting from the trunk. I called on Tree Pros last year and they came out right away to trim the tree and relieve the weight on the branch. This year I had them do a bit more trimming to the tree to improve the overall health and appearance of the tree. Both times I have used this service, they have done an exceptional job. They are very professional, punctual and clean up all the debris. Also both times they were able to schedule within a few days. The also have a certified arborist. Tree Pros provides the quality service of the larger more expensive companies but at a cost which is more reasonable.
