Bello Hardwood Flooring

This is the second job we've had done by Dorel, and we're thrilled with the results. Work completed 18 months ago involved new hardwood in our hallways and refinishing old hardwood in others areas of the house. We've been so pleased with the beautiful job that Dorel had done that we decided to have him extend hardwood into our master bedroom. He matched it perfectly to what he previously installed. The master closet wasn't an easy job because of some areas under shelves that are difficult to reach and are hardly seen. But being such a master craftsman, Dorel finished every inch perfectly. Dorel is extremely polite, pleasant, and respectful, as is his nephew Josh and another young man who helped with the job. Dorel communicates very well, scheduled the job well in advance and kept to that schedule. He was punctual and efficient, got to work immediately upon arriving each day, and kept the work area clean and orderly. He made every effort to minimize disruption in our household. We are very impressed with Dorel's exceptional work ethic and give him an A++++.

I couldn't be happier with the installation. Service was prompt, courteous and high quality. He was very helpful in answering all questions. I was so pleased that I'm going to have them install flooring in the bedrooms upstairs in the near future.

Amazing job. Dorel is a super nice guy. Came to the house for the initial appointment and then brought a wide selection of wood samples to the follow-up appointment, at which time I was able to choose the perfect floor for my house. It was very important to me that he was able to come to the house, as I do not have the time to go to a store. Although the time to install was long (several months), the wait was well worth it. Dorel agreed to move my heavy furniture for me (again, super important) and then did a perfect install. He called me after discovering that the moisture content of the cement was too high, and recommended a sealant (expensive, but crazy not to do) to help prevent problems down the road. I was out-of-town during most of the work, and felt comfortable with him and his crew having access to my house, and the trust was not misplaced, as there were absolutely no problems. When the alarm was accidentally left on (and he was almost arrested), he was super cool about it and very professional. The house was left very clean, despite the dust and debris that must have been kicked up by removing hundreds of square feet of marble tile. When I got home....perfection, and a transformed house. The bottom line ... a perfect job with a very nice and easy-to-work-with individual. I GIVE DOREL MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. Christian

We recently moved to Sacramento from the East coast and wanted to renovate the house we just purchased. Since we were new to the area, we had no one to provide us with references for the work on our home, so we turned to Angie?s list. It was a great decision. We found Dorel and are extremely pleased with his work. Dorel is a true craftsman and extremely detail oriented in his work, which is very difficult to find these days. Dorel arrived early for my interview with him as well as every day on the job. He works with his nephew, Josh teaching him the trade. Together they made a great team. Dorel has a very positive attitude and is enthusiastic about his work. He is great to work with and provided ideas and suggestions as we were planning the renovation. During my initial interview with him, he identified a potential ground water problem that could have warped the floors over time other contractors had missed. He was respectful of our house regardless of the condition and exceptionally clean. He sets a high standard for himself and the work he does. I would highly recommend him to others. Outstanding job!

Job was excellent. Dorel is a real professional and he and Josh are a great team. Quality of work is excellent and I have referred Bello to others and will continue to do so. Dorel is so good that he is usually booked for a couple of months , but is worth the wait.

He was always on time and always left the home extremely clean. He was professional, courteous, and helpful. I asked for another quote for a different area of the house and plan to use him for that in the future. The flooring is beautiful!

I actually joined Angie's list to find highly recommended contractors about 1 1/2 years ago. I was beginning to believe that Angie's List was a waste of time and money for the area I live. That was true until I selected Dorel and Bello Hardwood Flooring from Angie's list. This turned out to be my best decision....so Angie I now find being a member well worth it?. My floors are absolutely beautiful. I haven't put down any rugs yet because they are so beautiful. Dorel....thank you for your patience, professionalism, and outstanding workmanship. I've used many contractors, it is very rare to find one that is truly professional, responsive, caring, and takes pride in their final work product like Dorel. Recently, we bought a house and had occasion to make several upgrades before moving in. I decided to act as my own general contractor. A friend that is a general contractor recommended the other sub contractors based on his experience of using them in the past. He did not have a flooring contractor so I picked Dorel and Bello from Angie's list. This turned out to be the best decision out of several good decisions. We wanted to install about 1,000 square feet of new hardwood and refurbish about 500 square feet of existing hardwood. After Dorel the floors are absolutely beautiful. They are tight, straight, the fit and finish are excellent and the new hardwood color closely matches the old. I discovered managing sub contractors is like herding cats. Dorel was the exception. He came exactly when he said he would, did exactly what he said he would do, did it in an outstanding manner, and finished a day early. I would give Dorel and Bello an unqualified A+ recommendation and would use him again in a heartbeat if I had hardwood work to do.

Dorel did a great job with his crew on refinishing my living room and dining room floors. I appreciated the detail he gave me about the process, and exact information about the cost of the job in the initial interview. One unforeseen glitch was losing an afternoon replacing a circuit breaker because the sander has to run off the 220 volt dryer outlet, and the contractor had only put in a 15 amp circuit breaker, and you're supposed to have 30 amps. While it put the job a bit off schedule, Dorel and crew took the matter in stride, worked extra hard to make up for lost time and got the job done in a most professional manner. We are very satisfied with all aspects of the work, and appreciated being able to read the other reviews that confirmed why Bello Hardwood Flooring is a great company to hire.

Bello refinished my oak hardwood floors on a 1959 home I recently purchased. The hardwood flooring for the most part was in good shape but definitely worn after decades of use by previous owners. There were a few spots with water damage and major cracks that also needed to be replaced. Throughout the estimate process and the actual work, they have been absolutely fantastic. They were definitely punctual, which made me feel embarrassed sometimes when I showed up a few minutes late to my own house and they were already there. Well can't fault them for that. They did a superb job with the refinishing as well. I was shocked at how well they repaired the damaged sections; nobody could tell where they had placed new boards. It all just blended in seamlessly. Some of my friends who love carpet were confused by my eager willingness to throw down thousands of dollars for refreshing my existing flooring; now seeing my new floors they understand my thinking completely. Bello may not be the cheapest place in Sacramento, but they have many upsides: 1) punctual, 2) accurate estimate price, 3) great workmanship, 4) good communication, and 5) kept the place very clean with relatively little dust.

Dorel Solovastru was such a joy to work with. His old world (Romania) charm and eye for detail was wonderful. His price was fair and although we did have a few changes that added a bit more to the price, his overall quality of workmanship was of the highest standard. It was clear from the beginning that he does quality work...I was watching his preparation for the new flooring and he put a lot of time and effort into getting things ready (e.g. scraping off the old vinyl backing that had been left behind after I removed the floor in the den). Other less careful flooring contractors would have skipped that step. He called me often to update me on the progress and to clear any changes that had to be made. He started work exactly when he said he would and finished on time! In short, Dorel is a one of the best contractors with whom I've had the pleasure working. He knows his hardwoor flooring and for me, did an outstanding job. He is s small company (just he and his assistant) that does only the best work. I highly recommend him!

Dorel did a great job. The final product looks great, brining a level of elegance and shine to the floors. He did everything he said he would do, and performed within the timetable he established. Great craftsmanship, and a great value. We recommend this company without reservation.

When we decided to replace the flooring with hardwood, checked Angie's List and saw the rave reviews for Bello Hardwood and Dorel, the owner. Well, you will have to add us to the list because we can't give enough "raves" about Dorel. He is a true professional and has an all-too-unusual work ethic and pride of workmanship. And, he is just a really nice guy. You will find Dorel very responsive to any phone calls and answered our many questions. Work was started on the day promised, and Dorel was always on time. He had explained exactly how the process would work, then got to it. Clean-up after the job was excellent. He really cares about his work, his customers, and will be there for you. Our floors are beautiful - absolutely, surpassed our expectations!!

We had talked to several other contractors for instalation information and pricing before we talked to Dorel. He was the first one to tell us that we needed special engineered material because we have a concrete slab floor. From the first visit he was very professional and friendly and helpful. We had a plan but ended up changing our specifications, so he came twice to measure and discuss alternatives. His prices were very competetive because he just does the installation of flooring and he has us work with a separate showroom/retailer. We liked this arrangement because we felt it optimized our budget. We ordered the material directly, but Dorel picked it up and delivered it to our house. Dorel was flexible. We had a schedule set, but the remodel of our bathrooms took longer than expected and he was able to adjust his start date. When the installation date arrived, he was right on time. He and his assistant worked hard and stuck to the schedule. He did some additional repairs to the slab that other contractors may have ignored. When he encountered an issue or question, he gave us a call so we could figure out the best solution. This made for an outstanding result with which we are very pleased.

I highly recommend using Dorel and Bello Hardwood Flooring. Dorel is extremely professional and hard working. He took great care in sealing off all of the other rooms in my house when he was sanding and refinishing my floors. Before he left at the end of the day, he always cleaned up all of the area in which he was working. I felt very comfortable with him working in my house. He was also very accomodating when working with my family's schedule. I would definitly use his services again!

The floor was not as smooth as we like. He has come back and talk to us and we're in the process of getting the problem resolved.

They told us what they would do. The price was reasonable. They are just easy people to talk to. There is nothing negative I could say about them. I really like them. We have another room that we are planning to do and I definitely would use them.

Bello Hardwood Flooring created beautiful, smooth floors from old deeply scarred and pet-stained (not ours) floors that looked beyond repair. The results are unbelievable with floors that went from an embarrassment to a showcase. Despite the difficulty of the task (rooms and closets with many corners and problem areas) the time to finish was exactly as bid.

Dorel was prompt and professional. He clearly takes pride in his work and it shows in the product. I use many different contractors and it is very rare to find one that is truly professional, responsive and caring about the final work product. Bello Hardwood Flooring is one of those rare contractors. They are not the cheapest, but at this level of service that is not expected. Highly recommended.

It was good - Dorel was booked out months in advance but was able to fit my work in during the time between Xmas and New Years - so the guy was working holidays practically! I wanted to keep costs low so I did the old floor demo myself - removing rugs and tacking strips. Cost for flooring install was approximately $1100K for 900 sq. ft of space. Dorel finished the work in approximately 3-4 days. Some trim was missing which I did my self later but he left me that option - he was willing to come out to finish small work. He also called to see how the floors are. He also gave tips on caring/maintaining the flooring. He did good with cleanup in regards to sawdust, ect. Very professional.

I found Bello Hardwood Flooring on Angie's List and due to all the stellar reviews (they were all correct) I called Dorel for an estimate. He answered my call immediately and a date was set for the estimate. He showed up on time and explained his work in detail. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable and explained he does all the work himself with the help of his nephew. We decided immediately to hire Dorel, however we would have to wait a few months due to his busy schedule. We are so glad we waited, as our floors are beautiful beyond imagination. Dorel and his assistant did a fantastic job. Our flooring was not a standard job. We had some challenging circular and inlay type cuts that had to be made. The workmanship was of the highest quality. He also did not request a change order so that he could charge more when he found that removal of some existing hardwood turned out to be more difficult than expected. I have already recommended him to several friends. He is a true professional.

Dorel was extraordinary in every way and his schedule proves it. We chose to wait for his availability rather than go with other providers that had immediate availability. We will review again once our project is complete.

We were extremely impressed with their work. My experience was extremely satisfying. They are extremely professional. He is a craftsman and he did everything he said he would do and then some. He went way above and beyond. We could not be more pleased.

Dorel and his nephew did an exceptional job refinishing the oak hardwood floor in our kitchen and dining room. The floor was thirty years old and had seen a fair amount of wear. The floor had a gun barrel finish and was grooved. Turned out that it was a veneer so it took a very light touch to remove the old finish without damaging the wood. Dorel modified his standard process to accommodate the issue and the result was great. The process took three days to complete, they arrived on time every day, kept us fully informed as to the process and their progress. Dorel also provided detailed advise on the care and feeding of the new finish as well as advise on moving the frig back into the kitchen without damaging the floor. Needless to say we are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Dorel and his nephew
