Dorel Bello was a pleasure to work with and did an absolutely outstanding job refinishing our hardwood floors. In the weeks leading up to job commencement, we had some changes to the original contract (e.g. size of baseboards) and Mr Bello would respond quickly, acknowledging whatever it was we wanted to do or why our ideas may not have been the best way to go. He and his crew were very punctual over the three days it took to complete the job and extremely tidy in their execution of the work. Couteous, clean, efficient. We highly recommend Delro and his company Bello Hardwood Floors without reservation. We give him an A+!

In brief, if you are planning on installing new hardwood floors or refinishing your old ones I highly recommend that you talk to Bello Hardwood Flooring. We had Dorel and his crew replace our old crappy linoleum with unfinished red oak hardwood and they did an exceptional job: from bid to completion they were highly professional, friendly, attentive, and communicative. I am a stickler for quality and detail, and they met or surpassed all of my expectations. They absolutely deserve the rave reviews they've received on Angieslist and we will be hiring them again when we refinish the old floors in the rest of the house.

What a great experience! I chose Bello Hardwood Flooring based on the Angie's List reviews. I contacted one other well reviewed company, but Dorel of Bello Hardwood was the only one that called me back. After meeting Dorel for the estimate, there was no need to get other estimates - He knew exactly what I wanted done and I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. Like most good contractors in the current economy, he was booked up for almost two months. I have been told all about the dust and odors that result from refinishing wood flooring, but these people must not have hired Bello. I was not home during the day while they were working, but I never saw any dust anywhere, so they must have been really good at containment and clean-up. The odor from the water based stain that was used was a non-issue as well. Dorel is a great communicator and was good about telling us exactly when and how we could or could not walk on the floors. He really made the whole process as easy as possible. He took the time to stain a few sample areas with different colors so we could choose the stain based on how it actually looked on the floor rather than from color samples which was huge because it did look different on the floor than on the factory samples. Dorel really cared that we got what we wanted and were satisfied. He also did a great job matching up new trim to the existing kitchen cabinets. The end result looks even better than I imagined it would!

Both projects were completed impeccably. Communication was great. They were on time and professional through out. He went above and beyond expectations. When we realized at the last minute that it would be better to remove all the baseboards prior to refinishing, they just removed them quickly without any fuss or extra charges. I would definitely hire them again! Also, I must add that he managed a miracle with our floors. There were many scratches, black damage marks, and general age spots on the floors. You wouldn't know that now from the look of them. They are beautiful!

Dorel and his team of nephews were the best. They were meticulous in their installation. I have done 6 houses and this team was the best I have even encountered. They are not the most inexpensive but the quality of their work is fantastic. Dorel was on time and on deadline...he helped me secure a great company to secure the product and has a great relationship with them. Dorel picked up the product at the supplier for me and brought it to the house the week before installation. A nice bonus of a Bona hardwood floor kit was appreciated. I would highly recommend Bello Hardwood flooring to anyone who wants quality work done for a fair price and a great company and people to work with....Great job and love love my new floors and baseboards!!

Dorel was awesome. He was prompt on our appraisal and covered all the costs and possible overruns. He was professional, friendly, and guided us through the process. When the supplier messed up shipping part of our order, Dorel moved around his whole schedule to make sure he finished out job. People who see our floors are blown away. I could not give a higher recommendation to Dorel and his company.

Dorel and his crew are great. He offers a very high level of customer service and professionalism. He keeps you updated every day as issues come up. He has excellent workmanship and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. I have already recommended him to a friend who is doing a similar project.

The floors look wonderful. Great customer service skills...communication. We were expecting dust from the sanding of the floors but were pleasantly surprised by how clean they left the house each day.

THEY ARE AMAZING!! I started laying my own hardwood floors awhile ago. I injured my back and was unable to complete the project. I found Bello Hardwood Flooring on Angie's list and decided to give them a try. Dorel was able to give me an estimate 2 days after I contacted him. I was impressed with his professionalism and his estimate. I hired him to complete the project on the spot. He and his crew showed up at the time they said they would and did an outstanding job on fixing my screw ups and finishing the project beautifully. They placed floor boards and finished my hallway and living room plus my screw ups with the hardwood that I had purchased. I would definitely recommend the company!!

Dorel was very professional and helpful from the beginning - from selecting the wood to the final step of putting felt pads under furniture so that the new hardwood doesn't get scratched. He and his nephews, Josh and Timothy were very punctual every morning and were very skilled at what they do. They were also thoughtful as to not put any of their equipment in our way and were conscientious about not leaving a mess at the end of the day. They swept and vacuumed after removing carpet and baseboards and also vacuumed around their table sew work area at the end of each day. We were very pleased with the work they did. The installation was done very well, with minimal disruption to our lives. Bello Hardwood is a great company with great workmanship that provide beautiful hardwood floors.

Dorel is very organized, efficient, and punctual. He communicated with us the steps he and his crew were taking throughout the installation. He never left us questioning what was next. This was our first experience with engineered wood and Dorel helped us to build confidence in the product itself. His equipment - saws, etc. - were in excellent condition, like new. He and his crew worked together effortlessly. Pre-Installation - His first meeting with us at our home, on his own initiative, he contacted the supplier of the Engineered Wood product we chose to verify the supplier could get it; took measurements and informed us he would email his bid within the week. Emailed his Bid; upon acceptance, Dorel came back and we personally signed the Contract; he explained the installation process; he explained features of Engineered Wood; Coordinated our purchase of the wood with supplier; emailed their Invoice to us and how to purchased the wood; The Installation - Dorel and crew arrived ready to get to work. They moved our furniture for us. Removed old carpet and baseboards; took moisture readings of concrete floor; showed us damaged baseboards and recommended new ones. Purchased new baseboards for us. Informed us of Change Order. The job was completed in a little over three days. We are very happy customers.

From the beginning we enjoyed working with Dorel Solovastru, the owner of Bello Hardwood Flooring. He is personable, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. It is a pleasure to do business with him. He gave us many options in choosing the hardwood and advised us on the final choice. We are very happy with our decision. Dorel ordered the hardwood, gave us a delivery date and a date for commencement of the work, and was on time with both dates. Once work commenced, it became obvious that Dorel and his employees, Josh and Nick, do excellent work. Dorel ran into several initial problems in our home and resolved them all very well. First, there are two different types of sub-floors (1 1/8 inch plywood and 2x6 tongue and groove douglas fir), and where the floors meet the surface had to be leveled. Bello Hardwood accomplished this so that one cannot feel any transition underfoot where the two floors meet. Bello filled some holes in the sub-floor and prepared a masonry hearth so that the hardwood could seamlessly slip under the facade of the hearth. Dorel also coordinated with our tile contractors to ensure that where newly installed tile floors met the hardwood the transition would be seamless. To make a long story short, throughout the job Dorel and his crew did all the extra things needed to successfully complete the work. Bello did a beautiful job of installing the solid oak hardwood. As the work proceeded from room to room the floors of our home went through an amazing transformation. Furniture was shifted within rooms as the work progressed, so there was a minimum of disruption. Dorel and his crew affixed felt pads to the furniture so that once put in places it could easily be slid from one place to another on the hardwood. The end result exceeded our expectations. There are a couple of more attributes of Bello Hardwood Flooring that are worth mentioning. Dorel and his crew arrived exactly on time each day. As they worked throughout the house Dorel, Josh, and Nick not only answered any questions we asked, but also explained various aspects of the job as it progressed. This is an outstanding company both from the standpoint of the quality of the work completed, and in the positive way it's owner and employees relate to customers. Bello's price was very fair, particularly in view of the quality of labor and materials, and in relation to what other companies would charge. I would recommend Bello Hardwood Flooring to anyone. Because it is such a great company, if the customer has to wait a while for commencement of the work, it is well worth the wait. Bello was the best contractor we have ever hired.

Dorel and his crew met my expectations and then some. The floors were heavily and embarrassingly pet stained(long story) and scratched and now look brand new. Several bundles of wood were needed to replace the stained areas. My kitchen was also being remodeled and some cabinets were removed which required new flooring to be installed in the "holes". You cannot even tell where the new flooring meets the old flooring. To add to the mess, I was diagnosed with cancer had to have surgery during the floor refinishing week, which was certainly not anticipated when I contracted Dorel. I was dreading coming home from the hospital to dust and mess. However, much to my surprise, the process really was just about as dustless as it could be and I was able to hide out in my bedroom undisturbed. One worker followed the person sanding with a giant vacuum, so it was amazingly clean. I cannot say enough good things about Bello Hardwood Flooring and would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation whatsoever. You may have to wait a few months, but it is certainly worth it.

We are completely satisfied with our new hardwood floors. As stated in other reviews, Dorel and his team are professional and highly skilled. Dorel is pretty much the ideal contractor. My wife generally doesn't like contractors because we always seem to have bad experiences with them. Plus, she can be very picky and anal. With Dorel, we've been completely pleased before work started, during the work, and at the completion of the project. Our job took a week and every day, my wife would mention how completely thrilled she is with Dorel and his nephews. Yes, I was thrilled as well. The only complaint there is, if you can even call it that, is that since he is so good, he's really busy. We asked for a quote some time in May. We weren't in a particular rush and weren't even close to finding what wood we wanted yet so we delayed signing with him. It turns out that those delays cost us a month in starting times. We ended up with a start date in mid or late September. However, in the midst of our ordeal of finding a wood we liked, we ended up getting about 5 or 6 other quotes. Dorel wasn't the absolute cheapest, but he nearly was. We got a MUCH better vibe with Dorel so we chose him, even with the long wait. Luckily, one of his bigger projects got delayed and he was able to squeeze us in. Like another reviewer, once we settled on our wood, he even called around for us and found a better price than the best we could find. His glue, since he buys it by the pallet, is cheap as well. Just get it through him. He uses the good glue, which not all contractors do. His comes with a moisture barrier. Of course, he checks your subfloor to make sure the moisture content is ok, but it never hurts to have extra moisture protection since that's the easiest way to damage your wood floors. His professionalism is unparalleled. It's just him and his nephews so he is really busy, but he responds promptly. He shows up exactly when he promises. If he needs to work late to get your project done in the time needed, he will (normally, he likes to start at 7 or 7:30 and end at 3:30 or 4). He's upfront about everything, including how booked he is (again, he's worth the wait). When I went to pick up my wood from the dealer, Dorel made sure even the dealer treated me right. Not like there was much for the dealer to do. They just ran my credit card. Dorel ordered for me, checked the wood to make sure it was correct and in good shape, and loaded everything up and delivered it. The quality of his work is impeccable. He installs things properly. Some of my neighbors had wood installed by the builder, and the builder's contractor cut all sorts of corners. Dorel does it properly and with incredible care. When he installs an area flush, it is air tight. We were amazed at how accurately he was able to cut. Especially the baseboards which had to have multiple curved spots to fit up against our fireplace. They inspected each plank as they installed it and made it fit in as tight as possible. Finally, he checks to see if any spots are raised (due to an uneven subfloor) and weights down the area so that you won't have any uplifted spots. They make popping noises if you step on those spots (my neighbors, with the bad installs, showed me what it's like if you don't weigh the wood down). If you are adding to existing wood, he prefers to pull up planks at the border and replace them with newer, longer ones so that you can't tell that the new room was done later. Some contractors will just add a piece of molding because it's easier. Dorel and his nephews are incredibly friendly and polite. If you have kids around, no need to worry about them hearing inappropriate things either from them or their radio. They entertained my son one day with talk about soccer and the World Cup. And yes, they are very clean. After every day, they clean up the work area, sweeping and vacuuming as needed. Even during the demo, he has a grinder with a vacuum attached so there's minimal dust. Of course, he uses plastic sheeting to cover any cabinets and even walls off the room being worked on. There was only a very, very light dusting of dust on my countertops. We cleaned our shutters today and honestly, the shutters in the room he had to grind in were cleaner than shutters elsewhere. Conversely, a neighbor, who used another contractor, had dust billowing out her door and thick layers of dust even inside her cabinets, even though her contractor taped things off as well. Dorel will move large furniture items for you. He can't touch any plumbing, but will move the large items without extra charge. If your fridge needs to be moved, he'll move it and keep it plugged in so you don't have to worry about emptying your fridge. He even told me where to buy those felt pads you put under furniture for cheap (Costco) and put them on the large furniture items for me without me needing to ask. So, if you couldn't be bothered to read all of that, here's a SUMMARY: Dorel is a great value, saves you money elsewhere, has beautiful workmanship, is super clean, and is super professional with great communication. Save yourself some grief. Just book him as soon as you can.

Dorel and his nephews Josh and Tim were fantastic. They arrived each day when they said they would. They started the job on time and finished when they said they would. The quality of the workmanship for the entire job was excellent. They cleaned up each day before leaving. Dorel is booked up almost 4 months ahead and we had to wait to get the job done. Believe me it is worth the wait. He is a perfectionist and leaves nothing to chance. The whole process was very pleasant and we enjoyed our conversations with Dorel and his nephews. Dorel also made some recommendations for places to purchase flooring and we saved a considerable amount of money without sacrificing quality. I would recommend Dorel to anyone.

Dorel and Josh were quality craftsmen. We had 1100 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring sanded, repaired and refinished with three coats of top coat. The first day they placed sheets of plastic over all our cupboards and openings into adjacent rooms to keep the sanding dust confined. As it turned out, their machines vacuum up most of the dust as they go anyway. Because the quantity of hardwood flooring covers a large portion of the first floor of our house, they made every effort to accommodate our access to various parts of the house during the week of work. Living without the use of the kitchen for most of a week was challenging, but we were allowed to carefully walk on the floor until they began putting on the coating. At Dorel's suggestion, we had 4 heating/air vents inset in the floor. The vents had to be custom made, and the finished product makes each room look elegant. Formerly there had been metal vent covers which sat on top of the floor. Every day Dorel and Josh showed up to work on time, informed us of what they would be doing, and cleaned up at the end of the day. We actually enjoyed having workmen in our house for a week. By the time the job was complete, we had shared stories about our families, but at no time did they waste time. We wish more people we hire for various jobs had the professionalism and pride in their work as Dorel. We would hire this company again in a heartbeat but have been assured the flooring will be beautiful for years to come with proper care.

We had high expecations based on the litany of glowing reviews that Dorel has received on this site, and he exceeded them. Dorel started and finished the job right on schedule, and was very responsive and pleasant to work with throughout the process. We could not be happier with his work; the floors are absolutely gorgeous. He obviously takes a lot of pride in his work, and deserves his reputation.

Dorel and his crew, Josh & Ruben, did a wonderful job. Dorel is very professional from the bid process through the installation and clean up. He had good ideas, was very nice and patient answering any questions, and explained how or why he was doing something a certain way. Everything was very clear and your never left guessing. I was stressed about moving furniture but the way Dorel planned all the work out took all my stress away. They worked from room to room completing each room as they went so the work site was left very neat and clean each day. The quality of their work is TOP NOTCH! We are extremely happy with how the job turned out. Dorel and his crew went above and beyond with their customer service, skill, and keeping the job site clean. They were very punctual and completed a lot each day. The job was completed earlier than we planned and beyond our expectations. I HIGHLY recommend Bello Hardwood and will be spreading the word. You may have to wait a bit but its something you want done right so it's worth it. One last thing I have to add is that I really admire their professionalism and pride in their work.

Dorel from Bello Hardwood Flooring was great to work with throughout the entire process. He met me at the house to provide an estimate and described the removal and installation process. He offered suggestions and options for new flooring, and went as far as finding out if the existing flooring was still made, where to find it, and how much it cost. My initial impression was confirmed throughout the work: he is honest, a skilled and knowledgable contractor, personable, responsive and flexible. The flooring was removed and replaced and the final product looks great! I would recommend Dorel and his staff to anyone needing repair or replacement of hardwood flooring! This was my first experience with Angie's List and I am SOLD! I contacted Dorel and he met me at the home I had recently purchased the same afternoon. He pulled some of the carpet and assessed the situation, made me a reasonable estimate and started work only a few days later. Upon pulling the remainder of the carpet, he discovered that the floors were in much worse condition than originally predicted. We had anticipated that this might happen, and the adjusted amount was fair. Dorel's work is impeccable, which in itself would be enough to highly recommend his company. However, what set him apart was that he kept in constant contact with me by texting photos of the work in progress each day. Since I work about an hour away, this was reassuring. I knew what was happening with the job all of the time, and when I visited the house each evening the place was spotless -- from the first day until the final day's vacuuming. Pride in a job well done was evident every step of the way. Dorel ended up replacing about half of the existing flooring, but due to his fine craftsmanship, it all looks like the same floor. He made excellent suggestions about the stain color, the baseboard selection, and even recommended and arranged for another contractor to complete the wood floor/carpet transitions. All of the baseboards had to be replaced due to their new lower position (to avoid repainting), and Dorel found new boards that nearly matched the originals perfectly and coordinated well with the crown molding. Originally, I was going to do the baseboard painting, but in the end his workers completed this task without charge. All work was completed exactly on time, and the quality far surpassed my expectations. Every person who has come into my home has had nothing but extremely positive praise for the appearance of the floors. They are BEAUTIFUL! I chose Bello Hardwood Flooring because of the wonderfully positive reviews here on Angie's List, and because of my impressions of Dorel when he provided the initial estimate. My only regret is that I didn't have the rest of the floors in my home done at the same time. However, if I do decided to have them done in the future, I will most certainly hire Dorel and know that my entire home will have absolutely beautiful hardwood floors. If you want the finest craftsmanship, excellent communication, a pleasant and hardworking contractor, and a great value -- Bello Hardwood Flooring is the place to call. You will not be disappointed!

I had disgusting old carpet throughout most of the house. It had many stains from my cats. Fortunately, I had hardwood underneath. I was skeptical about the condition of it, so I sliced up sections of the carpet to expose the floor. Dorel from Bello Hardwood Flooring came out to a**** the job, and said that, for the most part, the floor was in good condition. I hired him after getting estimates from 2 other businesses. Not only was Dorel's estimate the lowest, he was very professional and explained things very well. We'd had to reschedule the start of the job from November to February due to both of our schedules. The work on began on Monday 2/24/14 with the tearing out and discarding of the old carpet. As I'd expected, Dorel found more areas of the floor which needed repair. Of course the cost increased due to the added materials and labor. I was OK with that. Dorel kept me apprised of his progress every day. The floors were completed on Friday 2/28. They are absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm thrilled.

This is the second job we've had done by Dorel, and we're thrilled with the results. Work completed 18 months ago involved new hardwood in our hallways and refinishing old hardwood in others areas of the house. We've been so pleased with the beautiful job that Dorel had done that we decided to have him extend hardwood into our master bedroom. He matched it perfectly to what he previously installed. The master closet wasn't an easy job because of some areas under shelves that are difficult to reach and are hardly seen. But being such a master craftsman, Dorel finished every inch perfectly. Dorel is extremely polite, pleasant, and respectful, as is his nephew Josh and another young man who helped with the job. Dorel communicates very well, scheduled the job well in advance and kept to that schedule. He was punctual and efficient, got to work immediately upon arriving each day, and kept the work area clean and orderly. He made every effort to minimize disruption in our household. We are very impressed with Dorel's exceptional work ethic and give him an A++++.
