Description of Work: Doral was very professional, clear about what he could and couldn't do, and agreed to redo our baseboards after finishing the floors. He removed carpeting from two bedrooms and our main hallway, then had to remove some particle board under some of the carpet to get to the subfloor (the surprise we hadn't expected. We discussed and agreed upon an additional amount for the extra time and work, and the demo was completed that day. Next 2 days for install, sanding, fill and resanding, and the first coat went on the next morning. After 2 more coats, he installed all new baseboards. He recommended waiting 3-4 months before using rugs to ensure the floors are completely cured and hardened. They are beautiful, and we appreciate the quality of his work...

Description of Work: We chose Bello hardwood flooring to install oak floors in our dinning and family rooms,hallway and stairs after receving several bids . It was a great decision. |Dorel and his crew of nephews are on time , vary clean in there work , clear about what's being done and when ,and if something comes up they send pictures if your not there. The finished floors are gorgeous . I will use them again.

Description of Work: Refinished hardwood kitchen floor. The job went smoothly, with one minor glitch at a doorway transition. The contractor matched the flooring outside the kitchen perfectly. He was responsive, professional, friendly.

Description of Work: Installed 1000 square feet of hardwood oak flooring upstairs and 500 square feet of engineered maple wood downstairs in our home. Carpets were removed and baseboards were reinstalled after completion of floors.

Description of Work: Completely restore (sand, wood fill, stain and finish)1700 sq. ft. of oak hardwood flooring. Pull up all existing quarted round molding (450 ln. ft.) and replace with new.

Description of Work: The job consisted of removing and disposing of carpet and installing approximately 150 square feet of new wood flooring in hallways, "feathering it in" with existing wood floor, and refinishing older wood floors in the entry, 2 closets, kitchen, bathroom, and hallway to match. The total area of new and old refinishing was nearly 800 square feet. A problem was that the old flooring consisted of two types of oak (white and red) installed at different times in different finishes, that we hoped could be refinished to match. Prior to obtaining a bid, we learned it is quite unlikely the two types of wood could be matched because they take stain differently. In discussing it with Dorel when he bid on the job, he confirmed the fact that it would be difficult to match exactly, but with a dark enough stain, it could come close. We appreciated him being realistic concerning the problem, so our hopes wouldn't be too high regarding the outcome. Once the carpet was removed and new wood installed in the hallways, both the old and new wood flooring was sanded. In order for us to choose the appropriate stain, Dorel applied a number of samples to the floor where the two types of wood came together, leaving them overnight so we could see them in various lighting to help in our decision. The process of preparing the floor for stain involved sanding several times, both before and after applying wood filler to the entire floor. Dorel refinished wood vents and installed new oak baseboard beneath the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Where new wood was installed in the hallways, he carefully removed and replaced the baseboard. Once the entire sanding process was completed, stain was applied. When completely dry, it was buffed, then finished with 3 coats of water-based floor finish. Dorel then had a carpet installer tack the carpet down in doorways where it had been cut to remove the hallway carpeting.

Description of Work: Refinish hardwood floor with installation of some to repair existing issues and cover area that was not initially covered by flooring. Sanded, stained and sealed with bona product.

Description of Work: Pull up tack strips from old carpet that had been covering the floors, repair and replace bad areas in the flooring. Refinish and l chose no stain with natural wood color.

Description of Work: Removed old carpet from three bedrooms and hall exposing hardwood floor. Replaced a few boards that were not in good condition. Covered doorways and shelves in closet to minimize dust. Once Dorel checked to see that all the floor boards were secure, he sanded the wood. The wood was then stained and several coats of finish were applied. The results were dramatic. The floor looks like new.

Description of Work: bello hardwood flooring sanded, restained and finished the kitchen and dining area. the owner dorel solovastru was very responsive. came over and gave a bid within a few days of my calling. the bid for sanding the floor to bare wood, applying new stain and 3 coats of clear coat cost $3.25 per square foot which i thought reasonable. we mutually agreed upon a date for the work to be performed (he books out a month or 6 weeks). he sent me a contract to sign which i mailed back. he showed up promptly on the agreed upon date. the sanding took one day, and the staining and clear coat application too two days....three in total. he and his nephew assistant were very professional. they did a great job. they paid attention to all the little details that can make or break a project. my wife like the work so much, that we are going to invite them back to do another room.

Description of Work: HE SANDED AND REFINISHED A 23 YEAR OLD HARDWOOOD FLOOR. WITH MULTIPLE COATS OF STAIN AND POLYURETHANE COVERING.

Description of Work: After another contractor laid approximately 500 sq. ft. of hardwood floors in the hallway and family room, Dorel came to start the process of putting the finish on the raw floors. He first applied a paste-like material to the floor to fill in any imperfections or little cracks in the raw floor planks. After that dried, he used several large sanding machines in stages to sand the flooring to the appropriate fineness. The machines he used completely contained all the sawdust created by the sanding process. After that, he used a tack cloth to completely remove any residual sawdust or dirt on the floor. Since we were needing to match existing hardwood floors abutting the new flooring, he presented several custom matched samples for my approval and gave me the benefit of his expertise as to which would match the best. Then he applied the stain to the floor. Once the stain dried appropriately, he then gave another light sanding to the floor and began the process of applying several coats of finish to the floor. Since each coat required a few hours to dry between coats, he left and returned promptly when the next coat was due. He then sanded between each coat. From beginning to end, the process took about 2.5 days.

Description of Work: Masterful craftsman! We needed complete sand and finish work on our hardwood floors in our home built in 1938. Dorel completed 1,100 sq. ft. of sand and finish work with new stain and finish absolutely perfectly.
