Very well. Everything looks great. The ended up having to do more work than expected with the fan due to electrical issues, but kept to their original quote. We love our new shower door too.

Bottom Line First: Charles (owner) and his team are professional and very customer-focused. Remodels can be disruptive and challenging for the homeowner, but this team will do everything it can to provide solutions and keep the project moving forward. It's a plus that they are also pleasant and personable folks to have in your home. This project involved totally gutting and replacing a guest bath and a master bath, last remodeled in the 70's, and included replacing all fixtures (tub, toilets, vanities, sinks, lighting, mirrors, tile, exhaust fans, etc) and expanding a small shower in the master bath to more than double its original size. This is a 60's home and came with the typical challenges. They found asbestos tiles under the old floor tiles which needed to be abated and a corroded cast iron sewer line (under the slab) that needed to be dug up and replaced. Charles was great about presenting options and solutions to complete the work. I asked a lot of questions and made some changes along the way and they were very customer-focused in providing explanations and suggestions. I also appreciate their policy of providing materials at cost and the ability to negotiate better rates with vendors than I could by myself. In the end, both bathrooms look great. Major construction is a messy process, but they were neater than most and sent in a cleaning service at the end. I would hire them again without hesitation — and in fact I already have, to replace a fence damaged in a recent storm.

This was our second job with Repairs & Remodels On Demand. Cesar quickly stabilized our wooden fence by putting in new metal fence posts which saved us from having the expense of removing the fence. He installed a brick patio which was positioned between an existing cement patio on one side, a brick patio in the front and a raised brick spa platform on the other side. We are pleased with the outcome of his work and will hire this company again for future work.

Initially didn't do a good job but supervisor reviewed and made more suitable.

After a quick examination of our situation, a leaking, ancient, broken toilet flange was found to be the culprit. Charles and his team jumped in and removed the toilet, floor tile and the portions of the sub-floor that needed replacement. The entire shower had to be redone, but the floor under the vanity was OK. Charles gave us a reasonable estimate right away and started the repair very quickly. They did the demolition, the repair and the rebuild. Because we needed to redo floor and shower tile, we changed the color scheme and now I have a beautiful new bathroom. New designer tiles, lighting, venting fan, electrical outlets, shower support bars, towel bars, new door and contrasting paint colors gave us a new bathroom. The work was done carefully and professionally. When craftsmen said they would begin work at 8:00 am, they were there by 8:00 am. I was informed of what work was to be done every step of the way. They asked for my opinion and what I wanted to do every time something unexpected came up. They did the work that was promised. Workers were considerate and thoughtful, cleaning up at the end of each day. They moved quickly, all day, every day, to get the job done by the agreed upon finish time. As you can probably tell, we are very happy and satisfied with our choice of Repairs and Remodels On Demand. Charles and his team did a fantastic job.

I couldn't install or cut the counter top myself. They move an electrical outlet, installed the lighting, and did the plumbing for the sink. They did an estimate one day, and started the work the next day. They were able to come out and do it quickly. They could do a better job at cleaning up after themselves before they leave. They left a little bit of a mess, it wasn't huge. Where they drilled and left wood shavings, they could have cleaned up better. The sealant bled out on a butcher board and it was gummy for a while. It was good, not fantastic, but it wasn't bad. They were quick and they were nice guys.

It went well. They were courteous and respectful. My outlets are still working, so that's good!

Excellent responsiveness, professionalism, and accountability. Mediocre quality. Some additional costs seemed ridiculous even though they were supposedly "industry standard".

He was competent and courteous. Did a good job (I provided the materials). Pretty much got in and out.

He replied to my request in about two hours, which was great. Although he's booked, he took the time to reply letting me know he is currently not available. I appreciated the reply instead of just ignoring my request.

Met with contractor to discuss the project where I advised I had a short window to complete the project due to the holidays and kids returning from college/guests. A start date was established and crew arrived on time and ready to work. Contractor ensured items were ordered and on hand prior to commencement of work. Care was taken to protect the surrounding areas from dust, dirt and debris. Any issues that arose contractor ensured I was immediately apprised and it was agreed to before moving forward. Work was done in a timely and professional manner. Upon completion of project, contractor hired a housekeeping crew to clean-up, which was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely recommend and use their services again.

The quality of the work performed was good. I would never again buy services like this on a set time schedule. A run to Home Depot takes one hour (they made sure of it). I ran through the list of items I wanted to have fixed and when the gentleman showed up, he told me it would take 6 hours (my Angie's list coupon was for 4 hours). It felt like the goal was to get more time charged than I had already agreed to/paid for. It was a very frustrating experience. Quality of work - good; ease of doing business - disappointing.

I have been doing business with these guys since the were called Handyman on Demand. Charles Gilbert, the president of the company is a great guy to do business with. He is quick to come out and give a quote for the job or jobs requested. Most recently I contracted them to remodel two of my bathrooms. The work that they did came out amazing and just as I had requested. There were no surprises with extra costs that were not disclosed to me before work was done and he gave me all the receipts for the materials bought. Charles and his colleagues are very knowledgeable, skilled and professional. He checked the status of the job daily and gave me updates of the progress that was done each day. He and his colleagues provided me with valuable insight and suggestions so that I could make an informed decision regarding the jobs I requested. They were also very patient and understanding when I changed my mind about something or added extra jobs that I wanted done. When the projects were completed he sent out a housekeeping team to clean my home in all the areas they worked in. Now that is what I call taking care of customers. They made the stresses of remodeling almost nonexistent. I will continue to do business with Charles and his colleagues as long as they are around.

The young man showed me his contractors license and worked steady at the job. We worked together on the task. He left when the 4 hours were up and did a nice job on everything that showed although the undersides were not as neat. He was polite and respectful.

Excellent. The man they sent out for this job was excellent.

This young man was great (Aaron Mantaes, I believe was his name). I've even recommended him to several people and I know one who is using him now and likes him as much as I did. I'd hire him again in a minute!!!!

All work was done in an excellent way with no problems whatsoever. Responsiveness in setting up the appointment was excellent. Both jobs were done with a much better result than the homeowner himself could have done.

I need the following items done: 1. Install a bolt lock - Drill hole in door and put in lock 2. Install venting above stove (nothing to cut, just install metal venting) 3. Fix some gutter areas that were sagging 4. Reframe wooden closet opening to specific size, just cutting and removing 2x4s, etc. I told them "NO THANK YOU" and they left as the price they quoted was ridiculous. About 20 mins. later, one of the men called me back and told me he could do the work for $35.00 an hour. I have had the same issues with other Angies List vendors. I had a plumber come out and tell me that the $55.00 price that I paid which was to cover $125.00 worth of work was just for the estimate, not any work itself. I think that some of these "deals" need to be better clarified on what is actually offered. RESPONSE TO VENDOR: 1-3. The closet is made of wood, the area would have been covered by me with sheets. I needed the openings cut to the correct dimensions: no trim needed, no drywall, no framing required , painting.. etc... Bifold closet doors, very easy to remove. 4. Make hole in backyard door to install dead bolt lock 5. Holes for venting already exist, just needed them to install the vent pieces that were already to be installed. 6. Just needed gutters re-attached, 1 aluminum in a single corner, and 2 vinyl, no cleaning requested/required, no removal. Your workers misinformed you of the tasks needed, nor did I appreciate the phone call to do the work for less afterwards. It was performed by someone else within a 3 hr. period of time.

It was a good experience. He was on-time and professional. There was a glitch with when he went to get the materials as he didn’t show up for several hours. When I contacted the provided they apologized for the delay and indicate it was taking longer to purchase those materials.

It didn’t cost me anything more than the big deal price. They did a good job at a good price.

They were prompt and efficient. The handyman that worked on the space was very friendly and personable. The owner/ manager came to visit and assess the situation. He was not as friendly. Overall I'm happy with the work and the price. I think the craftsmanship could have been a little better. But again, for the price and time in which they made it, it is very good. I would recommend them.

Job was completed within budget, but the quality of the job was average. Not sure if the work is done by employees or independent contractors, I suspect the latter.

The owner of the company sent out two men. One specialized in electrical, and the other specialized in construction. The man who did the electrical was very quiet but very professional and did a good job. The guy who was responsible for hanging the picture frame, building the baby gate frame and hanging the shelves was not so stellar. He did a good job for the frame for the baby gate- no complaints there. In regards to hanging the picture above the stair well, I briefly discussed where I wanted it to be hung, but he proceeded to hang the picture in a place that I didn't think looked good. I wasn't happy with where it is hung, but he made a big deal about having to move it, so I ended up leaving it there. As far the shelves go, I told him what I wanted, and he told me he could do it, but like the picture, the finished product was not what I was wanting. One of the support beams was crooked, but he flat out denied it until I proved it. He did fix it, but not without resistance, which was frustrating. The other frustrating part was that the wood that he used to build the shelves don't seem to be the most efficient pieces to used. He knows how to do things, but he was lazy in his approach in his implementation and not willing to accept that his work had any flaws. Update 2/14/2015 The company came out on 02/11/2015 and the owner looked at the items that I had mentioned being dissatisfied with and advised me that he would be willing to have his employees fix the items of issue with no cost of labor to me. I would only have to pay for additional materials. I agreed, he fixed it and I am now satisfied with the work done.

Just I suspected. A way over inflated price. I'm new to Angie's List, and I'm more disappointing in Angie's List than I am the service provider. Not sure who's the biggest fraud, someone who promotes a misleading company or the company itself. The 899.00 deposit went to Angie's List. I tried contacting the "Big Deal" department with no luck. I have had three other estimates for 9000.00 or less. I did get my refund after 2 weeks. I think Angie's List "Big Deal" promotions are a "Big Joke" You probably wont post this!
