Description of Work: We had a meeting with the provider to review the requested work. The provider responded with an email containing the estimate. The estimate exceeded that of other providers as well as the deal.

Description of Work: I bought a big deal for 3 hours of handyman work.

Description of Work: The deal was for electrical services. I listed 4 items I wanted them to do. Mike came and told me could do the work but their best electrical guy got tied up somewhere else.. Mike was able to only do 1 of the 4 electrical items. More on this later. Mike did install a new toilet I had just received. There was an additional charge, which I. Agreed to. The toilet leaked so a few days later mike and the #1electrician came to fix leak and see why of 4 items were not done. Also checked why some of my electrical outlets had quit working. Another appointment was made for an additional fee to check out non working outlets. During visit 3, guy said he got outlets working but they may fail, again. He also said he would fix one of the new outlets Mike said couldn't be installed, but would give me a special price of another $100. I passed. I had already prepaid to have that one installed by Mike. Also Mike had been unable to wire in a timer switch for my porch light. He said the timer was bad. (The switch was not bad and installed by a day laborer who was helping me move some boxes in the garage.) At this point I decided to give up. The Angiest deal was a bust. It was a bait and switch deal, at best. Caution!

Description of Work: He did some work on baseboards for me and also did some other repairs. I purchased a Big Deal from him.

Description of Work: Once I purchased this Big Deal of 3 hours of handyman work for $99, the vendor was in touch with me three times within 24 hours. The email that was sent to me indicated that a craftsman would come to my home and give an estimate for the job I was requesting. I made the appointment, showed the craftsman the work I wanted performed, and he gave me an estimate for approximately $650.00. He indicated that this represented a discounted hourly rate and that the ad had not come out exactly like his boss wanted. The ad stated that the vendor would perform 3 hours of work for $99.00. Additionally, I felt pressured to schedule the work within the next week -- the craftsman made a comment about having a family to feed. Initially, I gave the go-ahead for the work, and the craftsman went to Home Depot to purchase the materials. I reimbursed him for the purchase, and he left some of the materials at my home and kept the others. After he left, I began to feel uncomfortable about the whole interchange and initially rescheduled the visit to have more time to think about it. Ultimately, I decided to cancel the work. I was in touch with the vendor to cancel, and was able to get the remainder of the materials I paid for over the next day or so. Although the interchange with the craftsman was uncomfortable and problematic for me, the company was forthcoming in cancelling the work and giving me all of the materials for which I had paid.

Description of Work: Negotiated by phone and they did the job and charged moderately. By phone, did the work and both happy!

Description of Work: I am a satisfied return customer. I am the president of a small (four unit) condo complex in North Park. In 2009, I used them for a large, expensive project, and was very impressed with their work. This time we were doing some re-roofing on the popouts over one of the front doors (a couple of us are fairly handy), and noticed some dryrot on a 2x8 joist next to the popout and under one of the owners balconies. I called them on 10/11/11...they were out within the hour...gave a bid of $707, and came out on 10/13/11. Tim was here for six hours...pulled out the rotted plywood, sistered up a new 2x8 next to the water damaged one, checked for any other structural damage (there was none), put up new 3/4" plywood on the popout, cleaned everything up, and came in under their bid. I didn't bother with getting quotes from anyone else. These guys know what they are doing, and what so impressed me is that they do what is needed, and don't try to sell you on things you really don't need. This was a situation where someone could have come out and told us we needed to tear out everything and do things that just weren't necessary. If anything else comes up, they will be my first, and probably only, call.

Description of Work: Moving and improvements in bathroom plumbing, electrical, and installation of new bathroom vanity, top, etc.

Description of Work: It was easy to set up an appointment in a timely manner. However, I canceled the appointment because the work was completed by my electrician. I could not get an estimate without an appointment.

Description of Work: He did some regrouting of our tile in the shower. He also regrouted the kitchen sink a little bit.
