Description of Work: We have a large (9 x 12) moroccan rug that has seen a lot of wear and tear over the years, especially with 3 dogs lying on it (and the occasional puppy accident. It had also developed a problem with moths so we pulled it out of the house and put it in the garage until we found Valley Carpet Cleaning. They came out and picked it up and did an excellent job cleaning (much better than the job that had been done several years earlier by a local Pasadena area rug place) and doing repairs on it.

Description of Work: I called and said I needed a sofa cleaned and asked how much it would be. They said $70.00. I asked if that was definitely what it was going to be, and they said it was. But when the workmen got there, the first words out of the guy's mouth was upcharging. "Well, we have to do this, and we have to do that.. and all that will be extra..." I told them we would not be doing business and I sent them away. I called the office and told them how disgusted I was, and that I intended to write of my experience on this list. There was no offer to make things right, no apology for the deception. I hate that so many of these companies do business like this. I'm sure these guys are no worse than most of the others, but there seems to be an absolute absence of integrity in this industry.
