It went very well, I highly recommend them, they did a great job.

Everything went very well. They trimmed, shaped and balanced the carrotwood tree along with raising up the low hanging foliage and clearing from the root. They also removed previously cut stubs from our Black pine tree. In addition they cleaned everything up very well and hauled it away. Our front yard hasn't looked this good in a long time. They came on time and performed the work efficiently.

We just moved here and we had a HUGE ash tree hanging over the house and the driveway. Without the right tools, my husband butchered that tree - it was embarrassing. Kerry's Tree Service very diplomatically handled the situation and we were able to laugh about a "job gone bad." Reassured me that they could save the tree. It must have been many years since the tree had been trimmed properly, very heavy and overgrown. They let me know when I received the estimate that it would be close to a month out before they could get to it as they were pretty booked up. It was a little over three weeks when they came out. I was reluctant to agree to the day they had scheduled as we couldn't be home that day, but it turned out PERFECT. I didn't have to listen to all the noise, the tree looks awesome (just getting leaves again), and our front yard was spic and span when we got home. I am POSITIVE, it looked far better than when we left out that morning. While I was getting the estimate, I had him look at a couple other trees on the property and asked for his advice on whether anything needed to be done in terms of trimming. They are giant, soaring redwoods. His advice: we're in a hot, dry area so, WATER them - ALOT. He suggested that as the trees age, they will need more water. But said "Don't let anyone tell you they need trimming. Don't trim them. EVER." Since I (obviously) don't know much about trees, I appreciated his advice and not attempting to take advantage of my ignorance. It's not always bliss, is it? I would and will hire Kerry's Tree Service again.

I contacted kerry's for estimate on tree work, the nice lady in the office made arrangements for Mike Gallager to contact me to shedule a date to do estimate on tree work, on day of estimate Mike also check the health of two Cyprus trees, which he said were ok. Mike said he would e-mail a written proposal of work to be done,which arrived a few days later.I whent online to Angies List for additioal info on Kerry's tree service and discovered an Angies list 5% discount coupon which I printed then I called Kerry's to see if it was acceptable, they replied yes just fax it Kerry's. Bird of Paridise tree work completed: Crew of four removed 12 of the 15 stalks which were appoximatly 25-35 feet in hight (located in back yard and pushing on block wall) Dead tree work completed : Cut down a 20ft dead tree in front yard,then cut up remains for firewood as part of contract . (Stump was cut below ground surface) The Crew showed up at time company indicated,crew was professional,crew left property and neigbors areas clean plus no damage to surrounding work areas. All was completed in about 4 hours. on 2/25/2013 $684.00 Price of job included a 5 % Angies member discount coupon. I would highly recomend Kerry's to friends and niegbors.

Kerry's Tree Service was WONDERFUL!! Their service was above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. They performed all work quoted plus hauled away some other little landscaping debris that was in yard - which was an welcomed little extra. They brought a good team that knocked out the work in surprisingly quick fashion. They were professional, friendly, organized, efficient and cleaned up afterwards. All walkways were cleared of debris as well as the yard and areas below the trees were limbs and needles would have fallen. A great experience! I will definitely use them for all tree trimming in the future!

Got two estimates for trimming two large trees in front of house and removing dead brush from back bank. Cory Ray gave us an estimate which was lower than our first. Seemed very knowledgeable and competent so we hired him. Workers showed up promptly and completed work in a few hours. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They were able to significantly trim the trees without damaging underlying landscaping (important for us). All and all we were happy with the experience and will/would hire them again when needed.

Corey was very professional. Arrived at the scheduled time, provided a fair estimate and the work was performed shortly thereafter. The tree looks great! Corey let us know about possible issues for the tree and provided information on other services. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends & family.

They were unable to perform the service I needed (sycamore trees topped) as they belong to a tree association that prevents them from topping CA sycamore trees....who knew? But they were very professional, courteous, and came to give an estimate promptly. A great company...just couldn't use them.

We had 2 chinese elms that were getting too large for our tiny backyard. Our HOA was constantly one us about trimming the trees back - which we did ourselves for a while. But as the trees got over 20-25 feet tall, it became a bit too dangerous. We contacted Kerry's Tree Service and Cory came out to give us an estimate. We asked about just trimming, removal, and other suggestions for possible replacement trees. Cory was very helpful and gave us a few options. Later that day, we got an official quote from the office. Very professional, friendly, and not at all pushy! Would highly recommend them!

They've been in business for 30 years and it shows. They are prompt, honest, easy to work with, and an overall great company. Their price is great for the amount of work that they do.

During his initial visit Mike examined the tree and we discussed appropriate trimming. After I got his prompt estimate I made arrangements with his office for the actual work which they were able to schedule for a day when I was home. After Mike's initial visit I thought of more work I wanted done and he told me we could discuss this and make changes the day of the trimming. Mike and his crew showed up on time to do the work. I was pleased with the results of their trimming on both of my trees. The finished cuts look good on both trees and especially on the front tree where his crew trimmed the tree so it nicely frames my fence. Mike was willing to modify the job and add on some additional trimming I wanted on the spot. I would call Kerry's again if I need more tree trimming. Both Mike and his crew were professional and pleasant.

The quote was timely and confirmed by an email. The crew arrived exactly when promised. They did a great job and cleaned up.A very painless and professional experience.

Kerry's Tree service did an excellent job. They worked through the details with me before hand. I was not able to be home during the actual work and they came and took care of everything just as we discuss and cleaned everything up nicely. The price was great. I highly recommend their services and will definately use them in the future.

Overall, it went okay. The work is of average quality. As another reviewer has already noted, the artistry of their work leaves a bit to be desired. An absolutely top-notch job of palm tree maintenance always includes some skinning of the frond stumps left behind from the prior trim. This was not done, and I asked the crew lead man why not. His rather disappointing reply was that his boss didn't tell him to do this, and besides, he forgot to bring along his knife. So, there is approximately three feet of ragged palm frond stumps encircling the top of the tree which I would have preferred to have been skinned, but I guess I'll live with it until the next trim. I know from past experience that the extra work this would have entailed would have been about 10 to 15 minutes, if that. Also, I asked in advance that the chipped and shredded vine waste be left behind, since I am a hobby gardener and I wanted it for my compost pile. I made this request to three individuals - the estimator, then later to the scheduler, and on the day of service, to the crew lead man. All three of them said sure, no problem. I stepped away briefly as they were wrapping up, and when I came back, they had left without leaving the chipper shredder waste. I understand that this would have been extra work for them, but if they really didn't want to bother with it, I would have appreciated an honest answer.

The fellow who gave us the written proposal was punctual and professional. It was much lower than all of the other proposals and estimates that we obtained. They were able to schedule the service about 1 week after I called them to make an appointment. The crew arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They got right to work and performed the service exactly described on the proposal. They cleaned up all of the debris before they went. The equipment they competently used was very effective. The invoice was the exact same amount as the amount on their initial proposal. I am very happy with the price and the service. I would not hesitate to recommend them, or to use their services again.

Over the years I have used a number of tree trimming services. With some it was apparent they did not know how to trim a tree, and others did not seem to concerned about where the branches fell. When we first met Mike one of the arborists for Kerry's I instantly knew he was knowledgeable and professional. When we received the final quote (we added some work) it did not seem cheap, but I believe this is a case of getting what you pay for. He came back the day of the trimming to instruct the professional crew how to complete the project, and returned toward the end of the day spending quite a bit of time on site. After they were done I was very pleased with the artistry they used with the trees. Dealing with contractors can sometimes be stressful, this was not. We really enjoy our looking at our trees and plan to use them in the future.

Contacted Kerry's to obtain an estimate. They called me back the same day, scheduled the estimate for the same day. The next day I received a reasonable quote via email. Signed off on the quote. They then arrived the following work day and immediately did as asked. My trees never looked better. I highly recommend Kerrys!

Everything went smoothly, Mike was running a bit late because he was coming from the West Side, but he called me hours in advance to make sure that we could still conduct the inspection. I was running late at work, too, so it worked out. Even though it was getting dark (7 PM), he still came out and took copious notes. I pointed to several native bushes I had just planted and he made sure to draw a diagram so that the workers would know not to crush them (they didn't even get scratched). Once everything was noted, I received a rough quote on the spot, with additional items priced in. I then received the final quote via email and was able to fax out the exact services I needed rendered. The crew showed up a few days later and by the time I had returned, everything was gone, my tree was thinned-out (it looks like it went on a massive diet) and pruned to maintain shape, and the Eucalyptus was neatly stacked in the yard. Although a few dollars more expensive than some of the other services, their quote was reasonable and definitely worth the professionalism. Mike made sure to talk to me and was very up-front and friendly--some of the other guys that gave me quotes just showed up and walked around without asking any questions or giving feedback. Kerry's actually asked me what my motivations were for clearing out the trees and explained to me how each would grow and how it would affect their surroundings. I would have probably taken out more trees if it weren't for their encouragement to give them a chance to be trimmed properly before getting rid of a mature tree.

Very reliable and competent work. Corey came out as scheduled, we discussed the tree to be removed. It was a 20 year old, 35 foot potocarpus that had grown very close to the HOA wall and house. A tight job and questionable if the stump could be ground vs dug out due to tight location and lack of clear access to getting stump grinder to the site. Long story short, we drove the grinder though the house, carefully managed by Corey, without damage to rug.Tree came down well, without a problem. No damage to house. All work was done smoothly and clean up was very good. The job went so well that I asked them to come back and remove a pepper tree that was overgrown in a 2 1/2 foot high brick planter (for $325 including removing a very heavy orange tree from an enclosed patio, again through the house). The pepper tree needed the stump to be dug out which was done thoroughly. Again all clean was done as well.Dealing with the company on the phone was smooth. They give you an email estimate and are very responsive to questions by phone or email. No having to leave a message.I have already recommended them to others and will continue to. As far as cost, they may be higher than some others out there but they are so careful and competent I feel it is worth it.

Everything was fine and they came when they said they were coming. They did the job and they left. The job turned out fine and they did a good job.

Kerry's employee's are very professional, honest and arrived on time. I have an Australian Willow break a huge branch and I called Kerry's tree service late one afternoon and Michael came out the very next day and removed it right away. His rate was very good at $150.00 Michael is very knowledgeable as an arborist and so I decided to also trim one of my large magnolia trees. The trimming of the magnolia went very well and my property was left tidy and clean afterwards. I would use them again in the future.
