I have learned over the years if you want trees properly trimmed for looks and growth, hire a professional arborist. This is exactly what Kerry's Tree Service offers the customer. Mike Gallagher, arborist, came out, viewed my tree situation, then told me his recommendations and gave me an estimate within within 48 hours. after i talked to several other companies, I hired Kerry's with confidence the job would be done best if I used their services. I was correct. It took a crew of 5 men plus Mike Gallagher 4 hours to finish the job. They were professional all the way including final cleanup of my property at the end. All 3 trees look terrific and I look forward to seeing them after they fill out next Spring.

We loved Kerry's tree service. We got three quotes to remove a large decaying sycamore from our steep back hill that was overhanging our downhill neighbors' property. Kerry's was by far the cheapest at $1,500 (compared to $2,000 and $3,800). I was very happy to learn they came in so low, since Kerry's had by far the best reviews I'd seen on Angie's list. Those reviews were well-deserved. They arrived as scheduled at 7:30am and were finished by 11am. They were friendly, responsive, quick, easy, efficient, clean, and respectful of our neighbors. I'm not even sure how they finished so fast. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them strongly to others without hesitation.

Their certified arborist, Mike, came by our house that afternoon, spent time looking at the tree and advised us to wait until next year to have it pruned since we had pruned it ourselves last winter. He was knowledgable and we appreciated his advice. We will definitely call Kerry next year.

I got other estimates but Kerry's Tree Service seemed to be the most informed about my tree. Instead of just trimming my tree, they told me ways to save the tree as it was displaying many dead branches. The communication between the one who took my order and his crew was excellent. They seemed to care.

The nicest people and great service. I am so happy I chose them to do business with. Flexible at my last minute schedule change, great price, best tree trim our tree has ever seen, and workers so helpful and conscientious. Highly recommend!

At first Manny husband and I were hesitant (we've had bad experiences in the past), but the process was super smooth. They did an amazing job. It was a very wonderful experience! I would definately recommend and hire again.

Perfect, they did just what I wanted. They crew arrived on time, and left my yard clean.

Followup March 2018: I am happy to report that when I brought the problems with the July 2017 service (see below) to the attention of general manager Jim Avery, he took care of replacing the mulch that had been blown away. I appreciate him working with me to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. Kerry's tree service (Scott Rogers, foreman) trimmed my trees in July 2017. They did a decent job of trimming my trees… unfortunately, they wrecked much of the rest of my landscaping. They also refused to cut the vines off of the phone and cable TV wires (even though they're NOT dangerous power wires), and I had to have another tree company come out and do that. I had asked him to please be careful of my plants and he had said they would do their best. But they just TRAMPLED through my ground cover/flowers instead of going two feet out of their way to avoid it, and they completely wrecked it. (One picture attached is an area that had previously been lushly covered with bluebells, after they trampled it.) Worst of all, the open spaces of my yard had previously been covered with a beautiful, soft, fragrant bark mulch that I had handsomely paid a landscaper to install when I’d had my grass removed, and nice layer of eucalyptus leaves on top of that. It was beautiful, it looked like a forest floor. After trimming the trees, they took out their blowers to ‘clean up’. When I went out to take a look when they were finished, I couldn't believe my eyes - they had BLOWN AWAY ALL MY BARK MULCH, leaving nothing but bare ground and the sharp seed pods that fall from the eucalyptus trees (which apparently are too heavy for the blowers to move). I asked Scott “WHY DID YOU BLOW AWAY ALL MY MULCH?” And he had the nerve to BLAME IT ON ME: he just said, "Well, I wish you had said something before.” Seriously? After all these years of people removing their lawns, they don't know there’s such a thing as bark mulch?? He didn't take any responsibility, didn’t apologize, didn’t offer to replace it. Very, very careless and unprofessional. Also, they had knocked things over while dragging out branches, and as they were leaving, I noticed the top of my little folding table was missing. I pointed it out; again, Scott immediately denied responsibility and insisted, "It must have been like that.” But I asked the workers to please look for it, and they did find it in their trash and bring it back to me. They would have thrown it out if I hadn’t asked for it! If you have nothing but trees and concrete, they would probably do fine. But if you have any plants in your yard, I recommend you BLOCK THEM OFF WITH HAZARD TAPE to try to keep the workers from walking roughshod through them. And if you have any mulch, make sure to specifically ask them not to remove it!!

Kerry’s sends one of their arborists over to check out what needs to be done, which is why I called them. Ive had trees killed by guys I hired and the only requirement was a chipper and a buzz saw. I’ve never seen this level of care and professionalism. Prior to trimming boards were placed over the roof and gutters to protect them from damage. Clean up was terrific it, they cleaned out the garden, gutters, side of the garage. It was a great experience from start to finish.

The service team arrived on time, and got promptly to work. I needed to move one of our vehicles so that they could get their machinery closer to the trees to be removed. They worked quickly, safely, and effectively. There was no visible damage to the plants in the vicinity of the trees that were taken out, and the root removal also went very well. One of the trees was already cracked and broken, and it was ready to come down on any one of the very windy days we have in Granada Hills. We were very grateful that the trees were taken down before they fell down. The team cleaned up really well, and it left our house looking very good from the street. I highly recommend Kerry's Tree Service for the excellent job that they did. I absolutely would use them again.

Very well! I had four different Angie's List bids for the job and Kerry's Tree Service was the lowest. I only use "A" rated companies, so I knew I would be satisfied with the service. I was extremely satisfied with the job performed. They were on time, professional, quick and I will definitely hire them in the future.

The work was done quickly and all the mess was cleaned up and removed.

The crew showed up on time, protected my house with plywood, and got right to work. They worked hard and efficiently, and did a great job with my trees.

Kerry's Tree Service was exemplary every step of the way, from the initial contact, to getting the estimate from Scott, to the quality of the actual work performed by Ulysses and his crew, to the email communication and paperwork with Susan. I was incredibly happy with them. Very professional and efficient. They showed up on time, answered all my questions, and worked very hard and very fast. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the site (both on our side and our neighbors) after the removal. I will be using them again if/when the need should arise and would recommend them with no hesitation.

These guys are awesome! Mike came and surveyed the property at least two times before I even hired him. I was concerned as work took me away so all the work was done while I was not home and to my surprise, it went really well. There was an issue with some landscape lighting but they returned to fix it a few days later. I highly recommend Kerry's!

Bidding: I had five companies bid on removing the fallen tree with quotes ranging from $3k to $10k. Kerry's gave the tree the most comprehensive look before quoting by far. They came out twice to take a look, took pictures and measurements, and generally nerded on the thing. The other guys gave it a glance and shouted a number. Very professional. The cheaper bids were less professional and thus lost out on the business. Removal: They stuck about 8 guys on this thing for two solid days. The first day they removed all the greenery and diced up the trunk. The second day they diced up the trunk more and carted it away, and then removed the stump. The tree had fallen, so the root ball was levered up out of the ground, about half exposed. I was crystal clear that I wanted to plant another tree right where this one was, and each person I told this to (4 in all) positively ensured me that would be possible. The time-lapse pictures I took of the process show that they went down about 24" inches!, so that's probably good enough for a new 36" box tree.

Very well. They were very punctual for both the estimate and the work. They warned me that there might be some damage to plants below the tree but that they would do their best to protect them, and they came out okay.

They did an excellent job. Trees look fantastic. They cleaned up completely.

I wasn't there, but I did not hear any complaints. They performed as expected. They were a little bit higher in their pricing. They were not the most expensive and they were not the least either. I didn't interact with them.

Very well. Kerry's Tree Service is a top notch organization. From the initial call with Susan, to the estimate process with Corey and to the men that did the work (sorry, I did not get their names). After the estimate, I received the proposal (via email) promptly and they accommodated the date I needed. The price was competitive, the work was done efficiently and the clean up was done very well. All of the employees were courteous and professional. I highly recommend Kerry's Tree Service and would give them an A++++ if I could. :-)

I used them a few times and I got them by word of mouth. It was a horrible job. I must have gotten their "D" crew and not their "A" crew. They did a bad job and I had to call them back to fix one tree and the other one they cut it so much. I am trying to keep it from dying but it still looks like it is going to die. They messed up 2 trees. They have never done a bad job before. They are an expensive company but I have never really compared rates. They charged me $600 just to take out a branch. They did not listen to their supervisor's instructions. They picked up all the leaves and left the place clean.
