Harold quickly diagnosed the problem with my tree - root fungus due to planting the tree in a concave circle instead of a convex circle. The water could not run off properly. He and his team removed the dead tree and cleaned out the roots. He suggested replacing the single trunk tree with a 3-trunk tree. I was not in a hurry, so I waited for 4 weeks until he located a "nice one" (the suppliers/nurseries were in between growing seasons). His team arrived with the new tree and planted it in a slightly mounded circle. They also replaced the flowers that had been growing under the old tree. Harold and his team are stellar! Very professional and knowledgable. They had come highly recommended by a friend (whose parents also used Harold for many years). They left everything neat and clean. Harold also gave me instructions on caring for the new tree to make sure it would last for many years to come. I HIGHLY recommend this tree service!

They definitely worked very hard. It was a full day and a half of work. They were very conscientious about our property and our neighbors. They showed up exactly when they said they would come. The yard looks the way we would expect it to look. I would use this company again.

This is a terrific tree service, which I found through using Angie's list. Harold Brazee, the owner, came and gave me helpful and straightforward advice on which trees needed (and which trees did NOT need) to be trimmed. Then he gave me a clear and fair bid for the services, which was quite close to other bids, though slightly higher. We liked his approach so much that we decided to use his company, anyway. He and his men arrived promptly and did an excellent, efficient, and professional job trimming our trees. They did exactly the job that was described in the bid, and they even helped me out with a couple of extra things. This is the best tree trimming company we have ever used. We definitely will have them do all our tree trimming in the future, and I recommend this company without any reservation.

The estimate was $75 less than another contractor. Mr. Brazee showed up on time to give the estimate. The crew showed up on time to perform the work and they did the job in less than 3 hours. The crew spoke English and did a good job of cleaning up. They accidentally cut a sprinkler line while grinding the stump but they produced a length of PVC pipe and with some PVC cement I provided they fixed it on the spot.

They were fast in responding but they couldn't do it at the time. They gave us a date and showed up on time.

He was good. He showed up on time. He seemed to be very professional. He knew what was wrong with our trees. One of them had too much water on it and developed a crown rot. I thought the price he quoted was fair. Years ago when I remodeled the house I had a landscape architect put trees in the front. They are one of the types of trees that change color in the fall, which not a lot do in California. They planted a couple of them too close to the house. We noticed a crack developing in the garage on the floor, which is why we called them. We were hoping to save the tree, but he is going to have to take one out, maybe two. We were very happy with the service. He showed up on time. We thought the prices were fair. We just need to do some preliminary work to do before he can take the trees out. One of them goes underneath the sidewalk. We have to coordinate the contractor to repair the garage and the retaining wall and somebody else to take out the cement and then the tree. We are going to hire him once we get the other things done and are ready for him.

The company let me know they this was a very busy time of year and they would try to get me scheduled as soon as they could. They called and let me know exactly when they would be out to trim the tree. They were prompt and did they job as I expected.

This is how all service companies should operate! This guy came on a Saturday, did a fast estimate and gave me a very fair price. He showed up on time with a full crew, proper equipment and was done in no time! Courteous, professional and great price A+++

Harold came out and told me exactly what was needed. He told me the job would take two days. I thought that was less time than was needed, but he assured me the job would go fast. His crew came out on time and completed the work in two days. I was very satisfied with his company's work. Harold is a very personable man, and he knows the tree trimming business. I had a pretty big job, and he handled it well.

They were very professional and they did what they had signed up to do. They were easy to communicate with and they cleaned up very nicely after the work. Generally, their service was very good. Their price was a little on the higher side but I found it to be worth it.

He's good and we've had him for years. He's reasonable and the price didn't seem to be outrageous. He knows the landscape and the plants. He can tell us what things are if we ask. He is honest and reasonable. He has a good positive attitude. He is excellent.

I took 5 bids on the project: One from my regular "tree guy", one based on a friend's recommendation and 3 from Angie's List providers. I was surprised at how much they varied as to price - nearly $3,000 from highest to lowest! Harold was the lowest bidder and that made me a little nervous. However, he came out personally and we went over everything at the time he made the bid and he clearly was professional and knowlegable. He came again on the day the work was done, we again went over all the work to be done and I added a few small things to the project which was no problem for him and increased the cost by a small, fair amount. He and his crew showed up right on time and finished on time. They did an excellent job and left all the areas clean of debris. All the crew have worked for Harold for many years, which is important as we do not allow use of "casual labor", and the two foremen spoke excellent English. When they had finished all the work, I reviewed it all and requested some additional thinning of a giant bird of paradise, which they did. The trimming overall was excellent - very natural, no "topping", and no spikes used on the palms. They did ask if they could use spikes on the tallest palm. I said "no, but don't trim it if you think you can't do it safely without spikes" but they were able to go ahead and finish the trimming without the spikes. I will use them again and recommend them highly.

He is excellent. His men are well trained and have been with him for years. He has been in business along time. He shows up on time. He is particular about which trees get trimmed at what time of year. The men who work for him have been trained so well. It is a very excellent service. It is also expensive, but worth it for the work they do. They do exactly what they say they will do and do it well.

Harold came out almost immediately after me calliing and was very professional and knowlegeable. He took his time looking at the job and giving me some insights into the trees in my yard and the job in general. He gave a great price, but was higher than two other quotes. We would not hesitate refering him to other people.

He was expensive, but for the work they did, it was probably a good price. It was a large tree that was diseased, so it was imperative that we get rid of it. My neighbor had known him for over 25 years, so I trusted his judgment. The company was on time and took care of the tree within a day. I would call on this company in the future.

He was great. His team worked hard on a difficult job. They were on time and removed all the debris afterwards. He was referred to me by my neighbors and I found him to be a very nice person.

Harold Brazee himself came out for the estimate for the tree trimming. When I had called to schedule the appointment for the estimate, the receptionist mentioned that their company only undertakes work at a $300 minimum - they don't do small jobs. Estimate was for $385. I scheduled an appointment for the tree trimming. The crew of 5-6 people was on time. They got to work right away. They had a wood chipper on the street in front of the house. Two people were up on the tree trimming the branches and the rest of the crew quickly carried the fallen branches from the backyard to the wood chipper in the front. The work was done in about two hours. They did a pretty good job of cleaning afterwards - raked all the fallen leaves and small branches and used a leaf blower to clean all the debris. The only problem I had with their work was what I noticed after they left. There is a walkway on the side of the house which connects the front of the house to the backyard and this is the same walkway that the workers used to drag out the trimmed branches and as a result, the painted stucco side-wall of the house was marked with brown and green lines from the branches. Fortunately I had some paint left over from an exterior paint job done a little while back. It took me about a half hour to paint over the drag marks on the walls. It wasn't too much trouble to paint, but it was extra work none-the-less. I wish that the crew was more careful when dragging the branches out to the front.

It was done exactly as I had hoped.

They are very professional and on time. They did exactly what they say they are going to do. We have used them before and they trim trees beautifully. The job was done in a very timely manner.

I liked their attitude, they were local, and they did a good job.

$5300. Was split between neighbor at 2323 and me at 2333 30h. Work was required due to my tree's root encroachment damaging neighbor's garage floor. Price seemed high but neighbor's Insurance agent obtained Company without bids to best of my knowledgeable sent me a bill for almost $10,000 which I submitted to my homeowners insurance carrier. Work was done on time but considerable amt of wood shavings was left on lawn, driveway, roof and adjacent areas. I would hire this company for a future job after obtaining comparative bids and checking Angie's list for other recommendations.

IF WE NEEDED TO HAVE TREES REMOVED, WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN. THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS GOOD. THEY WERE FAST. THEY GAVE US RECOMMENDATIONS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT TO REMOVE THE TREE FROM THE ROOTS OR NOT.

WE HAVE USED HIM BEFORE. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE HAVE USED HIM THREE TIMES IN ABOUT SIX YEARS. WE FOUND HIM THROUGH A REFERRAL. I THINK HIS PRICE IS PROBABLY AVERAGE, BUT IT SEEMS HIGH. THAT'S PROBABLY WHAT THAT TYPE OF WORK GOES FOR.
