Description of Work: They put on a new new roof and gutters. It was a terrific job. The demolition crew did an excellent job of cleaning up. Everything process was done on schedule. Jeff did a great job of finding solutions to the several structural problems with my roof. The complete project went very smoothly. We were very happy with the finished project.

Description of Work: Had a small roof leak in kitchen area-though his crew could not respond immediately due to other jobs booked, gave us good direction to minimize any impact of leak if rains came again until they could repair-crew worked quickly and effectively to make the roof repair-put down plastic sheeting to protect carpet they had to walk over to get to deck/roof area--took pictures to show the leak area and repair-explained the cause of the leak which I appreciated--very reasonable costs-highly recommend!

Description of Work: Jeff came on time on the date we had agreed on. He looked at at area, but even though I told him where the leak was (we had used flex seal to get us through the winter and knew where the damage was), he said he could not tell where the leak was (not sure how you miss a huge patch of black flex seal on a light gray roof) and that he would not be able warranty his work. Stopped just short of telling my boy friend he didn't want to do the job. I would have respected it more if he had just told me that it was not worth his time and effort.

Description of Work: I hired Jeff to repair my roof. He came out for the estimate and was on time. In addition to looking at the damaged portions of my roof tile and fascia, he also noticed some rot starting in the front where two beams met. He gave me a good estimate to do both jobs and scheduled the work for a Monday. I was out of town, but my family said he was prompt and left his workers to do the job. They were not able to finish and he sent me an email saying he would return on Wednesday to finish. All the work was completed as contracted. I gave his company a 'B' grade due to the lack of cleanup. On the Monday when the crew left there were nails spilled on the patio. When I returned home on Friday I noticed debris in the grass in the front where the beams had been repaired, stuff like nails, bits of sheet metal and screws. He later apologized for the lack of clean up. Other than the cleanup I am very pleased and would hire him again.

Description of Work: Jeff's crew repaired a leak in my roof. He was very responsive from the first call to the completion of the work. He said he would be there between 730 and 8 but I noticed them on the street at around 720 and promptly knocked on my door at 730 ready to get to work. The whole job took about two hours to complete. The crew was very professional and courtesy. Clean up was completed to my satisfaction as well. I would use him again for future projects. He does more than just roofs, which is a great bonus.

The owner, Jeff, was a pleasure to work with, giving us excellent customer service and great communication throughout the project. He and his crew did a fantastic job on our roofing project. Great workmanship. We definitely will consider J. Ratch for future projects.

Description of Work: Jeff was great. I had a number of items that needed repair and he gave me some suggestions that would save me money, which I appreciated. It took him a couple of months before he could get to my job so he gave me a discount to compensate for having to wait. He and his crew were professional, skilled and did a great job. They did everything promised, cleaned everything up and left my house in great shape. I'd call Jeff again anytime I need a general contractor.

Description of Work: Mr. Ratchford repaired a portion of our roof where there had been evidence of a leak after a prior rain. Also at our request checked our whole roof for any broken tiles and repaired them. | |Mr. Ratchford was able to come to our home within a couple days of my phone call to him. He checked our roof and said he would be able to give me a quote in a few days. He sent it sooner than expected. It seemed a more than reasonable quote so I accepted it. | |Mr. Ratchford was very pleasant and courteous during all contacts and willing to answer any questions. He also showed us what was necessary to complete our repair work to code. When he finished the work he left the area spotless. His quotes are good for 30 days and he also gives a 5 year guarantee on his work. I thought that was great. | |If we have any other roofing needs Mr. Ratchford will be the first person I call.

Description of Work: Jeff did a very good job replacing my roof for a fair price. He was honest and did not try to find areas of concern so he could charge me more. After the permit was pulled the entire roof was removed and replaced in 4 days.
