His quote was competitive with the other we got. We had him add insulation and make a minor repair - he gave us an upfront cost that didn't change. He confirmed all materials with us beforehand, and gave us recent customers to contact for reference (they were happy with their jobs, too!).

Jeff was very professional, arrived promptly and gave more than promised in his work. Would highly recommend Jeff in any repairs. I had previously had Jeff replace a wooden retaining wall and section of fence that went down because of a rotting post. The work was fantastic so when the work on the house was necessary to complete prior to having the house painted Jeff was my only choice.

I had a skylight put in. This is the second time I have used Jeff, he is GREAT! He cleans up after himself, vacuumed the inside of the room where the skylight was installed, moved furniture and did an amazing job of the installation. I was not looking forward to the mess it would make or that he and his co-worker would probably be here all day, but they got it done in 1/2 day, no mess, even built a tent around them inside the house so the sawdust would not get all over everything I owned. He was so organized. I was amazed and would hire him again. He's the best, as well as being friendly and just an overall nice person.

They were great. I recommended them to my father. He is also happy with them. He did a great job. The cost of the painting was about $15000 not counting the dry rot. It was just for the painting and it included the cost of the paint. Everything was wonderful. I would use him again. They were very upfront. I didn’t feel like I was being hustled. I have already started using them again.

He did exactly what I asked him to and he did a good job.

First call ended with estimate inside 2 days, estimate received in 1 1/2 days, work completed 2-3 dats later. Arrived before stated time, completed work and gave options for payment. Able to use credit card to pay.

Very well done job. Efficient, good clean up, and very accurate estimate. Price is in the middle range, but very happy with the results and no problems at all. High recommend.

Jeff quickly returned messages and fit us into his schedule. He listened to my concerns about cost and thoroughly explained different options. Jeff painted the water stain mark on my 20 foot ceiling. He is punctual, very professional, easy to work with and cleaned the work area so my patio looked better than before. I will definitely use J Ratch Construction again.

Went great! He is a nice person, very organized to accomplish a short job in a short amount of time because of his organization. He explained all that he did and showed me the materials he used and the differences (since I'm 70 now I don't climb up on roofs anymore) Guarantees his work. All in all, great, and when it rains again, that will be the final test, might put a hose up there first, he said I could test it that way in about 48 hours. All is well with my world!

The job started when Jeff said it would. He was very professional. His quote was reasonable. The crew did the job in an efficient manner and cleaned up when they were done. They repaired several leaks and installed new gutter along one side of the roof. When the work was done he allowed me to send him a check since we live out of state. Great job with no issues. He even repaired some dry rot w no additional charge.

Before Work: I needed to repair gutter, down spouts, and roof leak. I enlisted couple of contractors from the Angie's list. I had at least three roof contractors and 3 gutter repair-men to give me their opinion and quote. All of them were very courteous and professional. All three of them explained how they will fix the problem. At the end, I went with Jeff Ratch Construction for the roof repair and gutter Dr to fix the gutter and down spouts. The reasons for picking Jeff were that he was able to diagnose the leak problem and lay out how he will fix the problem. He was clear to the point and his assessment was clear. He also warned me there might be other problem but will tackle as it arise. Luckily, there wasn?t and his assessment was right on. Also, the quote that he gave me was very reasonable compare to others. I have a contractor who gave me way too high. And, other one was similar to Jeff and I went with Jeff at the end for above reasons. Day of work: He called a day before to confirm the appointment and he was at my house at exact time that he promised. He took roof tiles out and showed me the problem area. It turned out roof-waterproof membrane was not laid out long enough. He laid down the extra membrane and put the tiles back. Also, he painted gable and wood beam near the work to prevent future water damage. It took him roughly half day and the roof looked as same as before. Since there was not any rain yet, I cannot tell if the leak is fixed or not. Hindsight, I should have sprayed the water but I did not. I might do the water test one of the weekend of wait for the first rain to see. Still,I am confident that if I do have an issue I should be able to call Jeff and he will take care of me. If that happens, I will write that experience. Hopefully, I do not have to. Other things: While he was doing his job, he told me that I have a few tiles that were broken. Jeff told me that my cement tiles are hard to find (meaning matching colors) so he will check it out when he is out on roof tile outlet. If he does see the similar color and same shape tiles, he will get them and come out replace them. I hope he does and I will write that experience if it does happen.

We are having some roof work done, and we were concerned about whether or not the gutters should be updated/replaced at the same time. I contacted Roland and left a voice message; he return my call in a very short time and came out to the house about an hour later - excellent response. As it turned out, we did not need the work. He advised that the gutters were in good shape, and that the problems we noticed were being caused by the previously-done poor installation of the roof, not the gutters. He also provided advise about the work that the roofers should do to ensure that the gutters remained in good working order. Roland spent a good amount of time explaining things and was his explanations were very clear, professional, easy to understand. All of this, even though he knew there was no work to be done. He was very friendly and professional, and I will definitely be contacting him if I need any gutter work done in the future.

I had sent him a note through Angie's list asking if he worked in my area. He responded that he did not. I thanked him and advised him that Angie's List indicated that he did. He responded again, thanking me and stating that he would check it out. The fact that he responded to me the first time surprised me since I was in no way a potential customer. That he responded twice and was very nice and polite about it put him miles above any other contractor that I have worked with. If I owned property within his range I would definitely call on him.

Jeff responded to my initial call within a day and the job was scheduled & completed within a week or so. The price for this job was very reasonable for the work that he had performed! He even found several replacement tiles at the "boneyard" that closely matched the original tiles which are no longer available.

Jeff was very prompt, professional and courteous. His estimate was spot on, which was very appreciated as we had a dry rot issue over our garage. The work went well and the cleanup was great. We also had gutters done with Gutter Dr's at Jeffs recomendation and they were fabulous as well. We have the best roof on the block, it looks awesome!

Jeff is a very straightforward person. He keeps his appointments and his word on all aspects of the job. He is honest and takes pride in his work. The job was done in a timely manner. He gave me a good warranty on his work. I will call him again when the need arises.

I called for estimates for new roof or roofing repair which ever was necessary. He was very rude and acted like he had never heard of the type of roof I was referring to and didn't do it anyway.
