Checked old computer. Built new computer.

I put in my order. I never heard back. I had to call Angie's List to get a refund. I had to go over the MG's list operators head to a supervisor to actually get my refund. Not satisfied one little bit with either comp-u-tition or Angie's List

I purchased the Big Deal for Comp-U-tition.

The deal was miss leading. The rep from COMP-U-TITION came out but no work was performed. The $49 deal; was for his time (presence). but to diagnose the issue would be an additional $65. To remove any viruses was more for each. The clean the system was another amount. and to reconnect to the internet another fee. Average cost would end up over $200.00.

The day he came home he looked at 3 of my computers and charged me 20 dollers and said he did some diagnosis. He took all 3 computers to his house kept it with him for 3 weeks calls me and said he couldn't fix two of my computers. Then said he fixed one and charged me 300 dollers (my computer is not worth 300 ). Then he says he is going to charge me additional 25 dollers to drop it of to my house. ( so i had to go to his place to pick it up ). I bring it back home and it doesn't work. Now he says he needs 145 to come and see what is wrong. He doesn't know what he is doing. Very bad service. Will never use him

I was very impressed with COMP-U-TITION ( Mr. Bilger) service. He returned my call to schedule promptly. He was on time.Explained what he was doing and why. he is very knowledgeable and worked with me to set up what I needed. I would highly recommend his company. I plan on having him fix my father's computer and and return to program my sons. The best part was I didn't have to load up and haul my computers printers etc.

I notified Jeffrey that I was having problems with Windows operation and he responded with a voice mail message and email saying he can come by anytime and repair it - no charge. That I should just let him know a good day /time. He told me he has a Microsoft Enterprise distribution license and that Microsoft had sent notification that there were some issues with some of the COAs that they released. Unfortunately, the only time I had available for Jeffrey to fix the PC was on a weekend so he ended up coming on a Sunday - his normal day off. True to form Jeffrey came at the appointed time, with his signature "no worries" greeting and got to work on my PC. I had recently installed Photoshop Lightroom 5 and was having trouble importing pictures from my camera card so Jeffrey helped me out with that too by showing me how to navigate around and use some features plus showed me a better, more efficient way to import and set up files for pictures which can then be moved into Lightroom. Later when I watched one of the online tutorials it covered the same method Jeffery showed me to import photos. When I need future maintenance /tune-ups performed on my PC I will certainly call Jeffrey!

Total up sell. Nice person but again totally misleading ad

It was fine. It didn’t solve all my problems, but it wasn’t their fault so I have no complaints. I did have them do additional services so there were additional costs. They transferred photos from one hard disk to another. They removed malware from a computer and a few other things. It was more expensive than I expected due to the add ons.

My computer had crashed and would not even come on. While I was there whatching Jeff of Computiton opened the machine and found it was clogged with dust and dirt which had caused the power system to fail. Instead of having to buy a new computer he saved the functioning parts and along with parts he located from his shop he rebuilt the computer within another computer case. It now works better than ever. I would recommend his service without hesitation.

I thought I would get 1 hr. of computer help as the add said. The first thing he did was tell me how much extra it would cost for anything i wanted to have done. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!!!! I wasn't very happy with angie's list at this point but i needed the printer hooked up so I payed the$ 30.00 .

I had been having problems with booting my computer. It was not recognizing the hard drive upon start-up. Explained the issues to the consultant and even asked if it could be a problem with BIOS settings. He didn't think that was the problem and went into detail regarding hard drive replacement and new computer costs. Also presented regular maintenance visits options. Said he would get back to me by e-mail regarding the options discussed and some cost estimates. Consultant was very friendly and professional during our 1 hour session. I never did receive the e-mail follow-up. I later went on-line to research hard drive costs and replacement procedures. After viewing a tutorial on BIOS settings, I discovered an incorrect BIOS setting and changed it. Problem solved.

He said I misunderstood,the deal.He said Angie,s list keeps all of the money and he doesn't,t get any of the money to refund

My computer ran slowly and had a distorted picture, so I purchased Angie's List "Big Deal" ($39 For One Hour of On-Site Computer or Technical Services). Mr. Bilger worked on it for about an hour. Additional fees were added for Diagnostic, PC Tune-up and overtime, which I agreed to since The Fine Print states that "Itemized charges apply on some services". When he left, the picture looked better but when I tried to use it two days later, I realized the problem still existed. So I called him and he set up a remote connection. After several minutes he basically said he was stumped, didn't know what the problem was and didn't know how to fix it. Bottom line---I paid $135.50 and my computer still doesn't work.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was okay. I paid extra for the services. There was nothing really bad about it, it is just that I didn't plan to use so much money. I thought it would cost 40 Dollars,and when they came out, I had to pay over 200 Dollars, which I felt I was obligated to pay because he had come out, and I needed to have the service done.

However, the charges went way up from there. He was able to remove a lot of malware and get the computer working faster. However, I have had some problems with a PDF file since he was here that was not malfunctioning before. He attempted to fix it remotely, but it did not correct the problem. I felt that the come-on price of $39.00 was very misleading.

Ended up selling me additional services. Solved some of my problems but many issues remained unsolved.

The service was great and the work was very professional.

Jeffrey Bilger, the company owner, cleaned and deleted an enormous amount of unneeded data and programs that had accumulated over the past four years in my personal computer. He did an excellent job. My computer speed is as fast as when I bought it. I will use this company again.

It was okay. Actually, the problem I had he wasn't able to fix but it turned out to be with the people who provide the service, Comcast. My computer is much much faster now. Now, I have anti-virus and he was able to clean up some other problems that I wasn't aware of. So it worked really well! He did the work about three weeks after I purchased the deal and that was at my request. He came out on the day that I had requested. So that was good. The total cost of the services was $200. He was very professional.

I contacted this provider because my laptop wasn't shutting down properly (or sometimes not at all). He did correct the problem, but his pricing policy was very unclear, to me at least, so I ended up paying much more than I had expected.

Jeff dealt with four computers, got them all virus free, installed Malware, cleaned up registry problems, etc. Pleased with the service; price was not abnormally high, considering the number of computers

Very personable, friendly, professional, good communicator, knowledgeable. Found problem with sound and fixed. Computer now runs smoothly.

Jeffrey is a genius. I am a completely non-technical person, and computer problems give me the hives. But as a business owner, if my computer and phone are working properly, it can (and does) affect how business is going. I was a mess. Jeffrey called me immediately to make an appointment, arrived when he said he would, and walked me through what he was doing and why. He repaired a whole range of serious problems my computer was having, and now it's humming along perfectly. I am confident that I made the right choice, and have even entered into a long-term maintenance contract with Computition to keep my business computers working perfectly.

It went so well, I had him provide the same services on two other computers. He tackled a very nasty Windows 7 problem that he had never seen before. Even Google had very little information on solutions. Nevertheless, he persevered and got rid of the problem.
