Description of Work: This is the second time we have used this service provider. Jeffrey was very responsive to our request to get our daughter's computer repaired prior to the beginning of her college quarter which was only a few days away. Unfortunately her laptop had a major problem but fortunately Jeffrey was able to diagnose and fix it within a few days. |I would definitely call Jeffrey again in the future and recommend him.

Description of Work: It took about 2 weeks and several calls to him to return my initial phone call. We had an appt. He did not show or did not call. When I called him appx 90 min after our scheduled appt time,he said he left a message on my phone that he was running late, but there were not any messages on my phone. We scheduled another appt. He did not show or did not call.

Description of Work: The deal was for one hour of technical service. When the service provider arrived, he wanted me to sign a document that I would pay $69 for diagnostics, and for any other work performed. I asked him why I would pay for the hour AND for the work done during the hour, and was told that that is the ways he runs his business. He was arrogant, and thanked me for "wasting his time". I took time off work to be there. This is the second time I have bought a Big Deal, and the second time it was a "bait and switch".

Description of Work: Jeff cleaned my computer of some malware, but did not resolve the problem I had called him out for. I finally did that later by changing browsers. I did not call him back because of his billing method. His special deal of $75 for an hour was for the first hour, $90 for the second, with a 10% senior discount, and supposedly another $10 for Angie's list customers. What I found misleading is that this was for TIME only, and the services he performed during that time (pc tune up, malware removal, program cleanup, etc.) were also billed, as individual items, along with $80 for software costs, which I expected. But charging by the hour, then adding in the services performed during that hour seems like double-billing to me. Like hiring a plumber for $60 an hour, then having him add in costs for every pipe he cleans. Today, I called my local shop, where I usually take my computer, and find they also have somebody they send out. They have always given me excellent service, and their cost is $120 for the first hour, $90 for the next, with no extra charges, unless they need parts or software.. At that rate, service through them would have been $165.00 + $80 for the software, a total of $245.00, not counting any discounts they might have given me. The difference isn't much-$32.50, but the accounting method Jeff uses is misleading enough to keep me from calling him again.

Description of Work: Replaced Windows 7 Operating System that was operating poorly. Installed antivirus and anti Malware. Had to take Computer with him to do the work. Returned computer following day. Very fast service.

Description of Work: Work was to go over my computer and fix up discrepencies. Work was well done and his attitude was very pleasant. Explained what was done and necessary. Would highly recommend him.

Description of Work: When I called the service provider to set up a time to come out I advised him that I wanted him to come out and give me pointers and tips about using the Mac computer that I just got. He advised me that he did not work on or service Mac computers. He apologized and did say he was trying to get Angie's list to correct the ad regarding his services. He advised me to get a refund. Jeffrey with COMP-U-TITION was very polite and honest about the situation which I appreciated.

Description of Work: The initial task was to speed up a very sluggish laptop. However it became apparent that computer hardwre needed to be replaced and the cost of replacement made it uneconomic to rehabilitate an old laptop. I .personally purchased a new laptop. Because I am I am an insecure novice, I asked computition to make the new computer operational with new software. The assignment required several home visits. I had (and have) complete confidence in the technicians skill and integrity.

Description of Work: Jeffrey arrived promptly and was very professional. He carefully listens, diagnoses your computer issues and explains his diagnosis. He recommends solutions and then proceeds to solve. My worst issue, unfortunately, was a crashed hard drive which cannot be fixed. He did perform computer tune-ups on my laptop and newer desktop. He also installed (partially) widows 7 on the desktop which had been running Vista. I completed the windows 7 installation as it takes some time and Jeffrey thought I could handle the minimal issues which might arise. I did have a couple of driver issues, but I know how to update drivers and did so without having to bother Jeffrey. He did say to call him if I had any problems that I felt I needed help on. I thought the billing was a little confusing, but not unreasonable. Jeffrey has flat fees for some things and an hourly charge for things not covered under flat fees. I definitely would use Jeffrey again. He is very personable, which is a nice addition to his competence.
