Description of Work: Had some difficulty with scheduling so it took about 3 weeks for them to come out and give me a quote. The lady who provided the service (can't remember her name) was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The screen door itself looks great although sometimes I question the durability of it (the screen itself is slightly looser on the bottom of the frame). Otherwise, we love it and would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: The Screen Lady did two things: replaced an old, tired, roll-away screen on my somewhat oversized front door with a new one, and replaced the screens in pop-in/out frames on two windows. The whole team was extremely nice, professional, easy to work with, on time, careful--the works, plus they made a second trip to get the sill match right. I'd hire them again in a minute. I thought the price of the roll-away screen door, $430, was a bit high but it wasn't a standard size. The reason for the slight downgrade in quality is the catch-latch on the roll-away screen door, which seemed a bit flimsy and it is. Within weeks, the little metal hook that holds it shut unbent just enough to start popping open. I tweaked it, but carefully; the thin metal feels like it would easily break. It's worked okay since but I doubt it will last more than a season or too. That said, I'm sure The Screen Lady (there is one!) will replace it immediately if the thing totally caves.

Description of Work: I contacted Screen Lady several times and each time was assured that they would attempt to schedule an appointment. I would be offered a 1 hour window, if I could not accommodate that window, she would say she would call back. She did this multiple times, never listening to the perameters I gave. Once |I scheduled something several weeks in advance and changed my work schedule to accommodate them, it rained that day and she called less than an hour before the appointment to cancel. I understand it rains and that my schedule is somewhat inflexible but after 2 plus months of attempting to schedule something, I gave up. They might be a perfectly good company but I could never get past the scheduler. I rarely give negative reviews and thought about skipping it but, felt that others and the Screen Lady might benefit from it.

She knows her business and is very competent. She comes equipped with everything needed in her efficient screen building vehicle. She used some extra materials of her own to get the job done just right when my crooked door jam caused a problem. She is flexible and pleasant to talk with. Her company is The Screen Machine but will become The Screen Lady soon. If you need any screen work done don't go to anyone else but The Screen Lady.
Description of Work: Replaced three damaged sliders with pet proof screening, adding a dog door to one and installed a good quality screen door into our garage.

I called several companies that were listed as doing the screens on Angie's List. The Screen Machine was the first to call back and had full details of what was available right then, and when she could come. She made an effort to squeeze us in because she was leaving town for ten days. They were late coming for the initial estimate, but not terribly, and she called to let us know that she would be late. Installation was quick, and she was very tidy and careful. We love the door!

+ 0 moreWe contacted The Screen Machine, as well as 1 other company, because both were willing to build the retractable screens as well as traditional screen doors/windows. The pricing was basically the same. We chose to go with The Screen Machine because of the comments on Angie's list. They were courteous and helpful even though we called multiple times with various questions. They provided a 15 minute window for arrival and arrived on time. It went very well! The ladies were excellent (by the way, as a woman, it was really cool to see two ladies show up to do all the work; that was unexpected). We couldn't have asked for a better quality product or better service.
Description of Work: We had 2 screens built to replace missing window screens as well as a screen door built for the back patio and a roll-away disappearing sreen door built for the front door.

The screens that they have are very good quality. She told me that if there was any problems that she would come out and fix it with no charge.

The material and labor was reasonably priced. We were very satisfied with The Screen Machine and will definitely rehire as needed. Thanks to Nhorma and the crew.
