Description of Work: I was told it would cost $49 to look at the valve. Then told it would cost $680 to replace the valve. Call another plumber, had work done for 300 dollars. That's a big difference in price.

Description of Work: This is our second excellent experience with Assure Plumbing. We had been told by another plumber that approximately $400.00 worth of work needed to be done to fix a low water pressure problem. We decided to buy the Big Deal to hopefully save some money. Assure Plumbing came out & told us that the low water pressure wasn't a plumbing problem; it was a faulty water softener tank. There was no charge for the visit from Assure Plumbing. We'll never use another plumber. Thank you, Assure Plumbing!

 + -1 moreDan Holford's unprofessional recommendations to install incorrect gas pipe fittings will now cost me additional money to correct. I had Dan come back to install a new water heater, plus hook up a gas log fireplace unit in the master (set supplied by me) and shorten a gas pipe in the family room that was already in use. Dan recommended that I have him change the perfectly working pipe fittings to the gas logs and take out the log set pans, because it would be more efficient. He also said that if it didn't work he could change it back. After he installed it, I immediately called him the same day and said not to dispose of the old pipes and pans that belong to the sets, because my gas log fireplaces were not working correctly. There's a gas smell that emanates after use, no heat is generated (unlike prior) plus a loud swishing sound! In an irritated tone & attitude, Dan told me that I would have to pay for his time If I wanted it changed back! His suggestion was a scam!
Description of Work: Rerouted plumbing on roof to make room to install skylights. I felt he did a good job. Later, new water heater was installed and it seems to have no problems. At the same time, Dan shortened a pipe for gas fireplace in family room and hooked up another gas log fireplace set in master bedroom. Dan replaced piping to gas fireplaces, because he recommended that it would be more efficient than the brand new pipes that were already there. Family fireplace was already in working order.
