Seams to be fine, for now. Another repair company estimated twice as much. Glad I got a second opinion.

I couldn't believe he had the part on his truck and fixed it on the initial visit. He was kind, professional, showed up when he said he would and knew what he was talking about. I would use him again!

I would've like to know the cost of the part, the cost of his labor and how much he charges to come out to our house. 4. he diagnosed the solution to our problem very quickly. he wasn't guessing. 5. he had some other suggestions about our dishwasher usage that we hadn't thought of before.

Oven works great. I had purchased a couple of different control boards. One I could switch out and the other, way beyond my scope. Well, the control board that I couldn't replace, Alex's Appliances was able to do fairly quick. I don't know if 150.00 is too much, too little or fair, but now my oven works, so no complaints. Thank you

Had a problem with my LG washer. He troubleshooted the problem over the phone in less than 1 minute, which was not an issue that would require a service repairman visit. So great to know that there are still honest service repair people in this world. Alex on the phone was over the top professional! I had called other repair companies and they all wanted to schedule a visit at my expense, but they had no appointments until next week. I stopped calling around after I luckily called Alex.

I think he was honest and he gave me information to check things before I made an appointment to see if it was something simpler that I could fix myself and I appreciated that. He was quick, efficient, honest, and my dishwasher works. He also gives 90 days warranty on his repairs.

Was completely honest and saved me the expense of a repair visit that was not needed.

We're happy with them. They did a pretty good job. The gentleman that was here seem very professional and very knowledgeable and we're pleased with their service. He explains things. I would use him again in the future.

My experience with them turned out fine. They were prompt in responding. He did a good job. He was friendly and he explained what was going on. I do not remember being dissatisfied with the price.

It went very well. Alex was very cordial and a real professional. He diagnosed the problem with my dryer within 5 minutes of removing the front panel. Couldn't have gone better. Now my wife is able to get back to doing my laundry.

The service was provided promptly at a difficult time, as the rack broke on the morning of the day my husband was coming home from the hospital. By my description, Alex was able to get the part and come out to install it the next day. Having a functional dishwasher was important and I was pleased with the prompt and efficient service.

I called with details of my problem and a technician showed up a couple of days later, on time. But, this guy was impossible to understand and he was terribly rude. Ivan asked for the 35.00 fee as soon as he walked through the door. Complained about the traffic he would encounter on the way home. He seemed to have a difficult time understanding the problem, though it seemed a simple enough and obvious problem to me. Got a lot of huh?s and sighs. Horrible. I was happy to pay the 35.00 to get rid of him. Well, then I found out that there is an Alex out there. Since I paid for the first service call I thought I would try the company again. I got ahold of Alex, who seemed to want me to finish this service using Ivan. I told him I could not, would not use Ivan again. Alex got the information from Ivan, and came to do the repair himself. Alex seemed pleasant and professional. Total cost for 2 switches and 15 minutes of Alex's time came to 300.00 which seems like a lot.

He was prompt in returning my first contact call and coming to look at the refrigerator, for which I was grateful, since it is a pain to be without a refrigerator. He said with my type and age refrigerator, it was most likely the compressor starter, and he had an extra in his truck. He tested the electrical (the refrigerator was on, but not cooling), and discovered that it was the compressor after all, and these were expensive, and I should weigh the option of getting a new refrigerator or compressor replacement carefully. After I decided to replace the compressor, he ordered it right away, and when the part arrived, set it up (as I recall, this was only two days later). He arrived promptly and worked for quite a time installing the new compressor and starter and welding together the metal coolant lines, charging it up, and finishing up. The refrigerator started cooling right away and I've had no problem since. I would recommend Alex Appliances to everyone, because he was prompt, courteous, helpful, explained the problem well, and did such a great job fixing it.

Courteous and very prompt. Even though difficult to understand at first because of provider's thick Bulgarian accent, we quickly found common ground for discussion and he was very pleasant. He seemed very competent and fixed our dyer very quickly with replacement parts he had in his van.

Alex did everything he said he would do. The part took several weeks to come from GE. Alex made an appointment upon its arrival, showed up on the day and time, and installed the moulding. Integrity is not common in the in-home repair business, but Alex displayed it. I give Alex the benefit of the doubt in the earlier poster's negative statements. Nothing even close to that happened with us.

He solved a difficult problem and promptly corrected it.

I made an appointment with Alex after using another service provider to repair our company refrigerator. The other provider couldn't replace the condenser. Alex gave me an estimate and scheduled an appointment. He called 1 hour before arriving. He was on time and went right to work. The price was a little higher than other estimates I received, but his service was excellent and I can happily say that the refrigerator is now working. I would definitely recommend Alex Appliances.

He was great. His professionalism and communication were outstanding. What stood out were the clarity of explanation and the willingness to tell me about the appliance in my house, his expertise.

He instructed me on how to fix my problem over the phone...incredible!!! Would definitely use again!

However, his knowledge of basic refrigeration allowed him to diagnose and repair in about one hour.

I called at 12:30pm on a Saturday, and they came to our home at 3pm the same day after Alex gave us a 2:30-5pm window. Incredibly quick and punctual service. Ivan was the technician. He was friendly and professional. He tested our dishwasher and it didn't have either of the problems that we were periodically experiencing. Isn't that how it always is? I won't work for 3 days straight and then works for the repair guy? Ivan stuck with it and the motor finally started making the loud noise that we had been hearing. After the first full cycle the dishwasher fully shut off in a manner that it shouldn't. That was lucky because it only did that one in every 4-5 times we ran the dishwasher. Ivan felt the pump assembly would have to be replaced to fix the loud noise issue. He felt the motherboard was bad causing it to shut down periodically. These two problems combined would be a $550 repair. He recommended replacing it with a new dishwasher instead of gambling on a dishwasher that may actually have more than two problems. I think his assessment was correct. I couldn't recommend their service more highly based on today's experience. Ivan was here 45 minutes, gave us great service, and we just paid the $35 diagnosis fee. There are tons off appliance repair companies on Angie's List, and very few would have come even close to the quick service, professionalism, or price that Alex Appliances did. We know because we called 4 of the top rated companies. The one that was the highest rated with over 100 reviews couldn't schedule us for 5 days and needed a minimum of $80 to show up. The next called back a few hours later, but we had already spoken with Alex. The third said it had Saturday hours, but never called back throughout the day on Saturday. Alex Appliances outperformed the others with excellent ratings.

They were all great. I would use them again in the future.
