Alex doesn't come to my part of town every day, so we had to schedule it for about a week out (which wasn't a huge deal since I use the freezer as a fermentation chamber for making beer). But, he came early, diagnosed the problem, applied a sealant and freon recharge. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a little more than I had expected, but it seemed fair. I would definitely use him again and highly recommend.

He then proceeded to write me up a bill for $39. When I questioned why I was being charged he told me it had been their policy for the last 5 years. Since I was not told of their service call policy I did not feel it was it was a fair, particularly because I was trying to get information over the phone. Had I thought there would be a fee I would have told them not to come out. The conversation went round and round and he finally gave up and left. I give this company bad marks because I feel it is important to be up front about all charges.

Based on the symptoms that I relayed to Alex about my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, he told me that the repair for bad bearings is too much trouble and cost, and that I am better off buying a new one. I thanked him for his honest evaluation.

Positive experience from start to finish.

When I called him about the problem Alex answered the phone and after I explained the problem I was impressed by the number of questions he asked. He just didn't make an appt. to go out and put in a new ice maker. When he did get there it needed to be replaced and he had one on this truck. I had had someone else out there but wasn't comfortable with how late they were to the appt. and the fact they had to order an ice maker and it would take up to two weeks.

I called on a Saturday night; he called me back early Sunday morning and was out to our home within a few hours. He carried the part we needed on his truck and was able to fix it in under one hour :) This saved us from loosing all our food or having to buy a new one last minute. He was prompt, professional and polite. He advertised no charge on Sunday and he did not charge us for the Sunday visit! I would score him an "A" overall; however I scored him a "B" on price only. I would have scored an A- on proce but this wasn't an option on the form. The A- is because he advertised a flat $150 for small repair jobs; this seemed like it qualified but he charged $185 instead - minor difference, just trying to be informative for future customers.

He was timely, honest, clean and as far as I can tell a fair competitive price. Nice guy and knowledgeable.

Alex provides great service. He is very helpful and knowledgeable. He offers great prices and works on the weekends.

I checked Angie's list and called Alex in the morning. He was on site within three hours of our call and exactly on schedule. He was obviously familiar with the machine and initiated a diagnostic test. He asked if we had cleaned the bottom filter and drain in the last few months and knew by my look of confusion that we had never done either. He found the drain tube clogged with sand and cleaned it out. He ran the diagnostics again and everything was working. He took his time answering my questions and made suggestions to prevent problems in the future. I am very happy to have found him and plan to call him again when we have problems with any appliances.

He is so extremely honorable. He came out on a Sunday and left his children behind because I had an emergency. He is very kind and more than fair. He did an excellent job on my wine cellar. I use him all the time for things. He has done so many different jobs for me. He got the part for me on discount. He is such an awesome guy. His price included the motor, the fan and the installation. He upgraded the motor and fan. He knew more about putting the wine cellar together than the people that sold it to me. There is nothing that is not wonderful about him.

Overall the experience was good. Alex showed up the same day and only charged me for his time. He showed knowledge about the specifec washer and I would definately call on him again.

Washer leaking, logged on to angies list, found provider. Then simply, made the call, free evaluation, determined the water pump was broken on the inside, which resulted in the leak. Had part available on the truck, quoted price, fixed. Waited 24 hours and used washer. Everything worked as good as new!!!!

I had another company out to check it a couple of times, and they couldn't find the problem. I eventually called Alex Appliances to give it a try. He worked with my difficult schedule and came out on a Sunday morning. He ended up changing out the icemaker - although he wasn't certain that was the problem, it wasn't quite right. There was a glitch in the repair, and the freezer fan didn't work, so he came back later that day and fixed it. Problem solved, and so far no sign of ice build up. All work was under warranty (Frigidaire) so I don't know what the repair would have cost.
