Description of Work: I forgot about the first cleaning appointment we made. We set a second cleaning appointment but I realized I would be out of town on that date. called and left two messages that I needed to reschedule. The cleaning service came anyway which makes me think I might have been leaving messages at a wrong number. When I got home I called back to apologize and try to reschedule; however, the service never returned my call. |Not having received the BIG DEAL I paid for, I contacted Angie's List Customer Service which agreed to refund my payment.

The customer admits to forgetting the first appointment and we did in fact show up to the first appointment which they admit. The customer didn't even act sorry we drove all the way to their house and they weren't responsible enough to remember an appointment they had made.We would rather of rescheduled their second appointment because we clean a lot of homes in Encinitas CA where this client lives if the customer would have called to reschedule which they in fact did not. They can't admit they forgot a second time and are lying saying they tried to reach us which I can prove from my phone records, email records and message center conversations that they never reached out to us to reschedule the second appointment. When my cleaning ladies showed up to clean for her for the second appointment she acted confused why we were there. My cleaning ladies did mention the homeowner is of an elderly age and they think she keeps forgetting due to old age and that contributes to her forgetfulness. I called the homeowner once they ladies arrived to clean at the second scheduled appointment and told her we don't reschedule a third time because it cost me money each time I have had to send the ladies out to clean and they weren't able to because she forget. I informed her nicely to call Angieslist and get a refund.

Description of Work: kAY'S did not follow up on a missed service appointment that I already paid for through Angie's list. They [Kay's] said that Angie's took a large percentage of the coupon amount and they were unable to fulfill the service agreement.

Not true she already redeemed her deal and scheduled for a subsequent visit that we decided to cancel because her house smells too strong of ammonia from the lack of her cleaning up after her cats. My girls refused to clean for her after she used her deal because the ammonia from the cat pee have them headaches.

Description of Work: The price was $98. for 4 hours organization. Two women came. One did nothing. The other recommended that we get a decorative container that we liked to put our tall spoons, tongs etc. in on the counter to make them more accessible. We did this and it has been a big help. They left in two hours. When I said I thought the deal was for four hours, they said that there were two of them so only two hours. We rescheduled. They didn't show up. We called and they said they could come then. We said we weren't interested. No apology or explanation at all.

BAD. Ok first of all I DID NOT PLEAD for you to come to me. And second of all I did not threaten your girl to drive and come to me. You see, first I plead, now I threaten you don't even know what's going on. You asked where I live and I said I live by Mesa College by Aero Drive beside Rady Children's Hospital. It is 20 minutes from downtown San Diego, you need to get your driving facts straight. YOU SAID OK. Kearny Mesa is not an hour drive from downtown San Diego, unless you are driving 10 miles per hour in the freeway. Then I said I will be home to supervise but I DID not said I will be following you around. I don't need to be following people around just because I'm supervising. You did not even let me finish. Your so called girls said bye then hang up then you're gonna tell me that you got cut off? And you told me to click the refund button whatsoever THE SECOND TIME I called you. We all know that in this type of business customers are always right but I'm not trying to abuse that. I can't believe that after giving me an attitude on the phone to begin with (after not returning any of my phone calls when I tried to schedule) you have the audacity to blame me for it instead of just apologizing about your bad customer service. Yes I am one unhappy customer thanks to you. Next time you put up some groupon or living social deals GIVE US ALL THE INFORMATION WHERE WE CAN SEE IT NOT HIDING IN THE D*** FINE PRINTS. This is what is wrong with businesses like you always trying to mislead people with your nice deals and putting the blame on us when we did not see the rest of your conditions/restrictions because you decide to put it on the fine print. If it is that important place it where we can see it! ***Husband - I just came upon this review and would like to clarify a few things. I was not there nor was I present when my wife was speaking with Kays Busy Maids but I do know a little about professional courtesy and lack thereof. My wife is a Nurse and I am in the Military. She works night shift and it is clear as to why she would want to stay in the apartment while you clean. So she can eat, sleep and get ready for work that night. You stated in your response that we live more than 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, when in reality these assumptions are false. With traffic we live 9.6 miles from downtown San Diego, which is a 14 minute drive. Although my wife was angry with the company I dont believe it was towards the coupon nor you not being able to drive to our apartment to clean. We could find someone else who would want take our business and a measley coupon does little to hurt what we currently make. I believe she was mad at your personnel not knowing how to appropriately deal with the matter at hand. Your response is one that is has been mistrued and contains false information. The A+ reviews that your company has should not be there based on your reply to this situation. The fact that you stated we pleaded is an insult to our profession and of who we are. Description of Work: I just spoke with Kay's busy maids and they are very unprofessional. I tried to schedule a two hour cleaning and they gave me a date. They told me that since its a living social voucher, they decide what time to come, and the day they are available for cleaning. Then they ask me where I live and made sure that its only within 30 miles of downtown san diego, which is fine although I couldv'e just given them my address and they could've figured out how far I live instead of asking me where I am closed at. Then they told me I have to be out of the apartment when they clean. I work nights and I usually sleep during the day and I would like to be able to stay at my house while they clean, not only to supervise but because I have to go to work that night. Obviously the lady gave me an attitude too and said "We don't need to be supervised we know what we're doing." So I said I'm just gonna have to get a refund and she said "Ok get a refund then Thank you bye." and hung up. I called back again and the same rude lady picked up and made up some bull like she got cut off on her cell phone. I told her that's very unprofessional. How you gonna say you got cut off when you said bye before you get cut off? I wasn't even done talking since I was gonna ask her how to get a refund. So when I did she said "I don't even know you have to go to living social and click on whatever link there". No point of talking to her. And to think I've been trying to get a hold of them all morning and would not even return my calls or email. Ironically when I contacted Keri before about a regular cleaning (no voucher) she responded right away, through email and it was night time too. This company is a joke. Now I am on the phone with living social trying to figure out how to get my money back when I should be sleeping. Thanks for scamming me. This is the first time I have to hire someone to clean my apartment and I can't believe this is what I get. So much for their good reviews. Please stay away from this company.

We don't mind if our clients are home when we clean but you said you were going to follow us around wile we clean and that is just crazy. You live more than 30 mintues from downtown San Diego so I told you we don't service areas outside of San Diego. The coupon you bought said in the fine print we only serve within 30 mintues of downtown San Diego. That is why I told you to login to your living social account and click on the refund button. We did not hang up on you we were in the middle of our phone call and my cell cut out because I was up high in La Jolla. You are just mad we won't drive to you since your outside our service area and you didn't read the fine print before you bought the living social deal and you have to get a refund from living social. You pleaded we drive the hour in traffic to get you and I explained we don't drive more than 30 mintues to anyone it is our policy. We were rude to my cleaning girl that schedules for us and threatened her to try and get us to drive to you. Not acceptable to tell at my girls.

It went great. Keri is very responsive, we agreed on the date and time. She was just a few minutes late and called ahead to let me know, which is really nice. I had them focus on the kitchen and bathrooms, but they definitely went above and beyond. I was very pleased with their work. The kitchen and bathrooms were immaculate. I am hoping she can come clean my house as well!!

The were very quick to call and set up the appointment and they called the day before to verify the time. We left them a key under the mat and they let themselves in to clean the condo. They did a decent job on the bathrooms, and a fantastic job in the kitchen but the floors weren't as clean as I would have liked. Also, the unit was vacant, and when I went to check on it the next day the A/C had been set at 66 degrees and was on, and a bunch of lights were on and one of the blinds was broken.
Description of Work: We utilized the "Move In/Move Out" special that they had for $230. They cleaned basically everything except the patio and balcony.

Hi Member, We have insurance to only clean the inside of dewellings(buildings/homes), we agreed to add additional insurance to cover your patio if you cleaned free the moving boxes/furniture and cans of paint. But you said not to touch the patio and balcony when we got there because you would take the stuff to goodwill for donation. There was no room to clean with all the stuff on the balcony and patio. Also your wood floors were covered in paint from someone touching up the paint and we dont participate in paint removal in move out cleanings. That is for the painting company to take care of when they finish a job. Your blinds are fine one of the pieces comes loose really easy and is hard to put back into palce. So we gently placed the piece next to the window so you could do it. I was afraid i might break it if i forced it in place. We spent over and extra hour throwing trash away that was inside the cupboards and drawers. Normally we expect the client to have the move out cleaning home empty so we can just clean. But we knew you needed to show the place within the following few days after that day we cleaned.

The entire process was very smooth and efficient. I was able to the schedule time within window/date requested, she was prompt, professional and very thorough. There as attention to detail and care with the home and even better she didn't mind my 3 very friendly German Shepherds that routinely bugged her :) To meet with my schedule and cleaning needs she was able to come over 2 day time frame to complete. I plan to utilize her services again and WOULD HIGHLY recommend her!
