"I reviewed Brothers Landscaping and Tree Service several years ago, but feel like it needs an updated review from me. Since my last review I have had Sebastian and crew landscape my yard. They did artificial turf with stepping stones, solid artificial turf, several retaining walls, pavers and a rock and sand hardscape feature with a garden path. He installed some french drains and I no longer have water running under my house, even with the two last wet winters we have had. He has also continued to trim my trees. Sebastian's eye for detail is superb and his workers work hard and take pride in their work. I will continue to use Brothers Landscaping for my yard."

"Worst construction company I have ever dealt with. I have 20 years in the construction trade. I should have known better. The price was too good to be true. We hired them for a large patio and retaining wall project in our back yard. Not cheap. My home is permanently damaged and our contract is still not fulfilled 14 months later. They agreed to settle and we haven't seen a dime. See you in court. -- Take a look at their work: [*** Link removed ***] They do not pay their sub contractors. Lawsuits incoming. They have a podcast and talk about being experts. -- [*** Link removed ***] They brag about how much money they make. They let sub contractors complete work and then never pay them! I would be seriously concerned if you are another company that does business with these people. Your brand will be damaged heavily by association. That interview they ask you for might lose you your customer base. They take your money and run. No communication, no schedules, no respect for your home or money. Gave them all of our patience for 14 months. They promise you the world and never deliver. They will lie to your face and break legal contracts to get paid and get out. For the love of god, do not use these people. They are a group of 20 year old millennials who want to be the next Joe Rogan. They don't understand that your word means something in this business. John Cefalu and Derek Clelan should be ashamed of themselves. - Edit 12.20.2020 They use fake reviews and stock photos as examples of their work. Very shady and dishonest people. Please read the reviews and judge for yourself. Thanks."

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

The cost varies depending on a number of factors, including the size of the tree, location, accessibility, whether or not the stump is also being removed, and other environmental factors.
Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25
Each tree is different, and costs can vary widely based on factors including tree size, hardness of wood, difficulties caused by location of the tree and proximity to nearby structures and objects, inherent risk involved in specific removals (e.g. rotten sections of trunk), requirements of dealing with municipalities and local governments for tree removal permits, and the methods employed by the tree worker to remove your tree.
A single tree could cost as low as $100 to remove or $10,000 dollars or more depending on these factors. It is also important to keep in mind that many companies have a minimum price to come out and do work or even give quotes.

If there are no online reviews, ask them for referrals. If a tree removal company is reputable, you won't be their first client. It's perfectly acceptable to ask for references on your initial call, and if a removal company won't provide referrals, it's time to move on.
Find out what equipment they use. Some types of tree removal equipment are better than others, and a removal company might need special tools to get your particular job done. On your first conversation with a prospective removal company, make sure that you clearly express the nature of the job you want accomplished and receive assurances that the company has the proper equipment.
Consider all of the costs. Always ask for an estimate up-front. Inquire about the job itself and any potential hidden fees that you might not be aware of.

To have a fallen tree removed near your home, you can expect to pay between $100 to $500. Your local tree removal professional will most likely just need to cut and remove the tree from your property, but factors like the size of the tree and its trunk diameter impact this cost. In addition, there will be an extra cost to fill in the hole left by the tree, and while you have your tree removal specialist on-site, it might be worth it to have them inspect the other trees in your yard for potential damage. Trees that have fallen onto your home or another structure, will likely be more costly to remove.

The minimum cost is $500 to $1,000, as disposal of tree debris is between $200 and $300 per load.
Answered by Jeff Searles at Lakeshore Tree Care in Chanhassen, MN on 01/08/25
Costs can range from $500 up to $2,000, on average. It depends on the size of the tree, the location, accessibility, if there are hazardous conditions surrounding the tree and the environment, and if other work is being done on the property along with fallen tree removal.
Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25
It really depends on if it's just lying on the ground or if it fell on a structure. The cost could be anywhere from $500 to $10,000. There's a wide price range because some fallen trees are really easy to remove, while others are very difficult and require a crane.
Answered by Kenneth Kirlin at Carolina Tree Trimmers LLC in Summerville, SC on 01/06/25
You can expect to pay about $1,000 to $4,000 to have a fallen tree removed. Trees that have fallen require more labor to remove than one that's standing.
Answered by Jeremiah Erickson at Chameleon Property Services LLC in Albany, NY on 01/13/25
Budget over $1,500 if you need a tree removed from your yard that’s larger than 80 feet. Large tree removal is a significant project that requires a crane, and the overall price will increase if the tree is close to your house. Typically, smaller trees can cost as low as $8 per foot to remove, while larger trees (over 80 feet) can cost at least $15 per foot.
