Description of Work: They gave me a bid that came to about $50,000 altogether for a geothermal heating and cooling system for a 2300 s.f. house. The man that came out was very professional and we got a full report, which was really a bid for a contract to replace my home heating system with a Geothermal system. I don't think there should have been a charge for this.

Description of Work: Hot air gas fired furnace was not performing up to our expectations and needs. Called Cold Craft on the 5th and had an opening on the 6 th but we could not be available. Then the person on the phone as where we lived. She then offered to call another in our city to see if they could delay their service to allow us to be served. In shock that " real service" still existed, I , of course, said OK. Some 25 minutes later she called back to tell me that she did not want me to worry but thr other customer was going to call back. What, is this real? YES,YES. the service person,Staci, was on time, covered her shoes and asked me to describe my issues. She came to work and went right to it. She asked questions, she EXPLAINEDwhat she was doing and what d DATA she had to support her conclusions. Description of Work: Cold Craft Company's tech person called Charlie Dyk who came to check our furnace on March 6. 2013. After he checked the furnace and said that it is too old and dangerous to be updated a new one. Then, he turned off the furnace and borrowed 2 space heater. Later the sales person Lisa Raby quoted me via email. Since the house is covered by Home Warranty, I requested the service and the furnace was checked from mechanical company on 3/9/13. During the period the company said that the space heater needed to be return if we had decided not to buy a new furnace from their company. The sales woman asked us to return heaters by Friday on 3/8/13;otherwise, they will charge us. The weather is still cold at night and need the heaters. I requested to return them after inspection. They accepted to be returned by 3/12/13. After mechanical person checked, the furnace return to normal function. I asked them to refund it since they did not do any turn up and do evaluate only to replace a new furnace. They use this trick to ask householder to buy a new furnace.

Description of Work: The week before Thanksgiving and all the relatives are flying in from Ohio or driving down from Portland, Oregon. The house is decorated and ready to go, when we realize the heater isn't working. PG+E says they can come out to check our system around December 11th which will not save us from an embarrassing, not to mention chilly holiday. Based on previous good reports on Angie's List I called Cold Craft. They were very receptive and appreciated my problem. The next day they showed up promptly at the assigned time. The technician quickly identified the problem and made the necessary repairs to get our heater running again. He was polite and knew just what to do. He also gave us some good advice for ongoing maintenance that will keep our system safe and effective.

Description of Work: My attic fan went out and Cold Craft came out, removed it, and provided an estimate for replacement. After initial misunderstanding, our problems were fully resolved.

Description of Work: I had a new thermostat that wasn't working correctly. After contacting the maker, they suggested a contractor come out and take a look at it. A rep from Cold Craft came out and solved the problem within an hour by doing a bit of rewiring. He also answered some other questions I had on the heating system that I had.
