Description of Work: When we began interviewing companies for a new floor, we had concerns about my husband's allergies to dust, pollen, etc. We asked for three estimates. One was very low, the other two nearly identical. What singled out Bamboo 2000 was the detailed estimate: the other estimate was just a generalized statement. The basic job was to replace a tiled entry hall, a dining room, kitchen and laundry room all covered with old linoleum, plus taking out a small brick planter, replacing old baseboard moulding with a more professional moulding and painting that moulding with paint we supplied. Once the old coverings were up, it became clear that we needed plywood above the old floor. We agreed and that decision bumped up the cost. To begin, they covered the entire work area with plastic sheeting, taped to the wall and floor, essentially sealing off that area from the rest of the house. The house stayed amazingly free of detritus. As the brick was ground out , the gaping space had to be filled and leveled with cement. That had been included in the estimate. Each stage of the job was vacuumed up and kept neat. That took about four days. The new floor went down fairly quickly. The baseboards were replaced, and at one junction where the floor met a wood wall, they actually cut moulding that matched the wall at no extra cost. Other clients have detailed the close attention Chris and the others paid all along the way, so I won't repeat it. Needless to say we were very happy with how it all turned out. Most important, my husband's allergies were kept at bay.

Description of Work: After speaking on the phone with Micheal McPherson, the company owner, he sent one of his men to give me an estimate. However, after visiting my house, I never heard from anyone at the company again. I called several times, and left messages. Micheal if you are reading this, and you didn't want this job, you should have returned my call and told me why. Instead you wasted my time, and you held up my project. I joined Angies list specifically to avoid contractors who don't show up, or flake at some other time in the process. Thank you Angie's list for offering my the opportunity to share my experience, and hopefully stop Micheal from treating another member this way.
