I originally found Mr. Dennis Michaels of Mr. and Mrs. Mike & Son through Angie's list. I was impressed by the high quality comments the company received from other satisfied clients. I can report I am now one of those happy and satisfied clients. Every step of the process working with Mr. and Mrs. Mike & Son was marked by courtesy and professionalism. My initial inquiry call was promptly returned. Mr. Michaels scheduled an appointment whereby he could come to the house, review what was needed, discuss my concerns and goals and provide a comprehensive "Home Detailing Evaluation," After reviewing the house thoroughly together by walking every room, closet and bathroom during our initial meeting, Dennis prepared a 10-point evaluation identifying everything needed to be done in various rooms. We reviewed his evaluation, discussed each item, established a fee and a retainer, and finally scheduled 3 full days for Mr. Michaels and crew to detail my newly renovated home. Dennis is a consummate professional who arrived promptly each work day at my home with his smiling staff. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable about the finer details of my new home (i.e., types of stones used in kitchens and bathrooms, finishes on bronze lighting fixtures, details of hardwood flooring and proper methods to clean them, ways to improve porcelain finishes or make shower doors and windows shine etc.) I am 100% satisfied with the job completed. My home is absolutely dust free and spotless. Not only did Dennis complete everything he stated he would complete, he also did several extra tasks not originally agreed upon such as cleaning inside and out the new garage cupboards, repairing an unsightly mark on a bathtub that was somehow marked during construction. While the finished cost may appear expensive, it was worth every penny for the outcome is even better than I expected. Dennis Michaels of Mr. and Mrs. Mike & Son is an experienced and accomplished professional home cleaner. I observed Mr. Michaels to be punctual, attentive, knowledgeable, organized and responsive. Plus he is just a very nice gentleman!!! Based on the job he did at my home, I look forward to working with Mr. and Mrs. Mike & Son again and will recommend Dennis Michaels and his team to friends, family and neighbors with full confidence.

Dennis and his crew are consummate professionals. They arrive on time. They finish when they are scheduled to and their work is amazing. They take incredible pride in their work and it shows. My bathrooms glistened after they cleaned them. The master shower had significant hard water deposits on the glass. One of Dennis' crew worked on the glass for six hours until it shined. She kept working until she was satisfied. My light fixtures were dingy and in need of a significant cleaning. They shone afterwards. Although the price may seem steep, it is worth every cent. Your house will shine!

We met for an extremely thorough interview a few weeks before the job. All work to be done was discussed and a proposal was prepared on the spot. On the day cleaning was to occur (first of 2) Dennis and his crew were punctual and extremely professional in all their work. I was looking for a service that would treat my home as if it were their own and I was not disappointed.

This is an amazing service. Our new home was exceptionally clean for our move in. You may have a little sticker shock at first, but the thoroughness is unlike any other... kitchen hoods, tracks of sliding doors, water heater closets covered in dust and all sparkled by the time they were finished. If you are OCD about cleanliness... this is the company for you. You won't regret it!

From the very beginning it was a great experience. It began with a conversation with Dennis Michaels and we found a day for him to come out and take a look at my new house. He arrived on time and we did a walk through together of the house. He was very specific about how his team would clean each room of the house. Several times he gave me very specific options. For example on one tile floor did I want them to hand scrub the floor or mop it. For some windows did I want them to clean as best they could from the inside or use a ladder and clean from the outside. For the cabinets how much time should the spend on the undersides of the shelves. This really gave me perspective of how much work the whole cleaning was going to be. After the walk through he gave me a quote of how many days it would take him and his crew to clean my house (2 1/2 days in my case) and let me now what the price was going to be. From there we confirmed a date. This is not like a regular maid service at all. Dennis was with his crew all day and they were very particular about how they did everything. So many different things in the house looked brand new afterwords. At the end of each day he showed me how they did and walked me through things that they couldn't solve with cleaning. By far this is my best experience with a cleaner. It made the house feel brand new for me.

Wow! I heartily agree with what the other A-rating reviewers have said about him and his crew. Dennis is VERY thorough - before, during, and after the job is done. He came and scoped out the job betorehand, gave us a detailed list of what he thought he and his crew could accomplish in the 1 day that we had available, and then followed through on what he promised. The house is on the ocean, so in along with the plaster dust, he also had years of sea-air corrosion to work with, but in addition to the interior plaster dust and salt-coated exterior windows, they managed to clean a beat up Wolf range (with toothbrushes among other tools) well enough for me to sell it and recoup the cost of the job. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but well worth the money, and do a "Mercedes class" job. I will definitely have them back again.

This is the 4th time using Mr. Dennis' services. The job was a huge undertaking, and Mr. Dennis and his team were professional, punctual, and very pleasant to work with. I would definitely use his services again, and recommend him to others.

It went very well. Dennis and his crew were very professional and worked around us while we were home. I originally thought their cleaning would be a major disruption on our lives but they worked it out beautifully. The crew was friendly and courteous. I wouldn't think twice about having Dennis and his crew back for future cleaning.

We are really glad to have Dennis back. Two years ago he and his people did a huge and wonderful cleaning after a kitchen and bath renovation that buried the house in dust. It was such a relief to have our place returned to us in such good condition after a horrible dirty experience. This summer we lost our longtime housekeeper and after 2 months of nothing decided to get Dennis to do a big overall "spring cleaning". Again it was a great job, and so we went ahead and hired his company to come once a month. The deal we have now is his most basic 2 1/2 hour service and frankly even though we very much miss a good friend who worked hard and devotedly for us for 20 years, from a cost and efficiency standpoint the Michaels team is perfect for us now. The team is prompt and completes the job in the time promised. You might think that 2 1/2 hours is not enough for only once a month but with 4 people including Dennis it definitely is. They are able to work around our idiosyncrasies. Because Dennis interviews us carefully at the beginning of each session and can set priorities based on his long experience there is flexibility as well as just plain good cleaning. They presented themselves as a Detail Service that does Post-construction Cleaning. I have been through this process several times in the past with other providers at a considerably lower cost, although this property was much larger and located in a different city, where the costs are higher. They assured me that in additional to deep cleaning, they also operated like a detailing company and excelled in post construction clean up. I found several areas they completely missed. While some could have been an understandable oversight, many of them were quite obvious. Additionally, they also waxed over the paint splatters on one of the bathroom floors, creating an unsightly result and extra work to remove them. Grout in the showers that were discolored and needed to be worked on. They used a bleach pen that made it look great. However two weeks later, the residue from the bleach pen crumbled away and the discolored grout was visible once again. They need to use a professional-grade product. While not a complete list, throughout the house they missed: - Scuff marks on the walls - Splatters of paint left by the painters - Cobwebs on the eaves of the patio; once they cleaned them from the eaves, the cobwebs were left on the patio. - Dirt in the window sills and tracks inside - Dirt in the sliding door sills and tracks inside - Grease in the oven - Grease on the cooktop - The dirty microwave On a positive note, the windows, the light fixtures, sinks, vanities, toilets, inside of cabinets and the floors were all cleaned satisfactorily. Mike was very punctual and excellent with responding to emails, following up promptly to correct the areas that we brought to his attention. Unfortunately, after they left we found several more areas that had been overlooked. I have no issue with companies charging fair market value for their work. However, I strongly believe that their high fee was not justified with the quality of work, or the attention to detail I have come to expect from this process. Lastly, if there are services they do not provide, they need to be sure that their marketing copy does not make a different claim; if they are truly a post-construction clean up crew, paint splatters and door/window sliding tracks/sills are key areas they need to clean. I would love to have given them a higher review, but with so many details left unfinished after paying a rather hefty fee, I cannot. The experience left a rather bitter taste.

Dennis Michaels and his team were extraordinary. Dennis supervised his team on site and was professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. After 15 years of neglect, my kitchen was spotless.

Dennis and his team cleaned our home after we finished significant remodeling (rewiring, patching walls, paint, full remodel of bathrooms, etc.) before we actually moved in. He provides a super high quality deep cleaning service, and while it may seem expensive at first glance, when you see how detailed the work is, it's clearly fair value. Before providing us with the quote, Dennis met me at our home for a 45 minute walkthrough and evaluation. He went through a very specific and detailed checklist so we knew EXACTLY what he would be doing at the home. His team (5 people including Dennis) then arrived early on the day of service and worked from 8:40-6:40 to do the whole home in 1 day. His team was friendly and careful, and his attention to detail was impressive. We were very concerned that the home be thoroughly cleaned before we moved in with our baby daughter, and once they were done, there was no trace left of the construction dust or the prior owner's grit and grime. The place looked fantastic. His service is absolutely worth the cost, and we will probably use them again for an annual cleaning that won't need to be quite as extensive.

Mr. Michaels came out for an evaluation, we went over the house and decided what needed doing and what I most wanted doing. He has a long check-list and I agreed to the items and price, and chose two consecutive days. His crew consisted of himself, his niece, and three Hispanic helpers, everyone very quiet and pleasant. They worked from 9 AM to 5 PM both days, brought their own equipment including ladders and vacuums, and accomplished everything we had agreed, plus a couple of additional chores he did without charging. When a worker broke a ceiling light fixture, Mr. Michaels went out and looked for an appropriate replacement and gave me a choice of two, at no charge. They cleaned up after themselves. We made sure that everything on the check list was done. Mr. Michaels himself supervised all day on both days. In summary, everything was done pleasantly, efficiently and thoroughly. The hourly rate for each of five persons works out to about $33, which is not unreasonable given that they all knew what they were doing, and a great deal of it involved being up on ladders. I had been thinking of asking my handyman to do the work, at $35 an hour.

I found this company again after using them 22 years ago and I am still pleased with the quality of work they do. Dennis really loves his work and supervises his employees on site with attention to detail. He went over with me what specifically needed to be cleaned. They were able to clean my balcony wall by scrubbing it so it looks like it was freshly painted and the rest of my home now looks and smells clean. I will use this company again.

They were very good. They were there for 10 or 12 hours with six people. Everything about them was nice. They were very nice people.

I used this service in 2013 and they have stayed in my mind all of this time. Dennis and his crew are FABULOUS!!! They are pleasant to have around with their lovely smiles and happy attitudes. They work very hard and efficiently. It is worth every penny spent and I will be calling them shortly for another top to bottom cleaning.

Crew showed up with owner within 15 minutes of agreed time. Happy with that as I knew we were a distance from them. Crew worked hard all day with only a short lunch break. I was home for 90% of day. Spouse came home in time for remaining tasks. Crew worked 4 hours over estimated time, but we did not mind. Quite the contrary, we were impressed by how hard they worked all day and the communication Dennis had with me during the day should a question or problem arise. Dennis is delightful and fun, and his crew was very personable.

The house literally felt lighter, and seemed to sparkle when Dennis & Co finished working their magic. The detailed information he provided as they progressed through the project was very helpful - it will be difficult to go back to hiring one of the "hit it and quick- clean it" outfits after our heavenly experience with Dennis Michaels. Yes, it was costly AND completely worth it!! If I had seven uninterrupted days, I would still not achieve the same results these folks did. Treating my self, my family and our home to this service- particularly as we head into flu season, was worth saving up for. I mean....they washed my walls and my ceiling, for goodness sakes!! Two points: the house looks better than it did when we visited it as an open house during our house hunting days, and...it was also worth it to know that every last bit of chemical residue remaining for a previous exterminator treatment is finally gone. Oh...one more point in terms of the value- four people spent a cumulative of 12 hours over the course of two days cleaning my home. These are not just folks coming into sweep, and wipe a rag over most of the surfaces in our household. These professionals came in and operated as cleaning technicians taking care of our belongings and making our home shine. We'll definitely have them back a couple of times annually.

They did an excellent job. I think, looking back, we should have waited for the movers to be done before we had them in, but we had so much construction dust and debris it was really worth it.

Dennis rakes his job very seriously and is on-site to supervise.

Dennis Michaels provides a Rolls Royce cleaning service for those who enjoy a dust and dirt free environment and can afford the considerable tab. Although we initially had sticker shock over his price estimate and were skeptical about his plan to have his crew spend almost 20 hours cleaning our duplex flat that wasn't THAT dirty (or so we thought), the results prove how good Dennis is at his job and estimating how long is required to achieve the results the client wants. His work ethic proves the old adage, you get what you pay for. As part of the job, we asked to have our 28 windows cleaned.including having each screen removed and washed. Amazingly thorough detail on that aspect. The windows have never been this clean. We also have many wooden blinds with slats. Each separate slat was cleaned to perfection. All furniture pieces that were against walls were moved and years of accumulated baseboard dust was cleaned. Kitchen and bathroom tiles were cleaned and polished as never before. Of course, everything else was dusted, vacuumed, washed, and shined as appropriate. The team Dennis brought were totally professional and industrious in their attention to detail. They were well-trained by Dennis, and it was a nice touch that each day they wore clean matching outfits. Even the rags looked new. Dennis was polite and personable and very easy to work with and his crew pleasant and friendly. We had enormous smiles of pleasure pasted on our faces as he and his team departed on the final day leaving us with a house that seemed staged and ready for a TV appearance in glorious cleanliness, dust-free, and sparkling. From skeptics we turned to fans.

Because of delays in closing escrow I had a very tight window to move into my new space. Dennis returned my call promptly and was able to schedule both a walk through estimate and a time for he and his crew to do a deep cleaning within my limited time frame. His estimate process was very comprehensive and informative for the cost, the time he and his crew would be spending and the methods which would be employed to clean my new space. He and his crew were prompt, hard working with an attention to detail and polite. Their work was impeccable. I would recommend Dennis without reservations.

Dennis and his crew did a great job. Everything was extremely professional and smooth. We made arrangements for Dennis to come by a few days in advance and check out the place, go over everything down to the smallest detail that we wanted his crew to clean so there would be no misunderstandings and agree on a price. He told us when they would arrive, approximately how long they would be here, when they would take their lunch break. They showed up on time, and did exactly as we discussed. At the end of the day, we reviewed the list with Dennis, and that was that. The place was immaculate and ready for us to meet the moving men the next morning. If only it were as clean when the moving men were gone later that day!

While Dennis and his team were cleaning (an understatement for what they do), I was packing up my old house, knee deep in boxes. I left a key and a check for the completed work at the new house; that's how much I trusted him! I wasn't able to go to the new house for over a week after the job was complete. During that week, I received two calls from Dennis asking whether we were pleased with the job. He asked us to please call him once we had seen the house to make sure everything was delivered as promised. The house sparkled! Everywhere! I will be hiring him within a month or two to 'detail' the other house on our property. I recommend him highly, without hesitation. He is worth every penny!
